< Iakopuj 5 >
1 A KOMAIL kapwapwa kan, janejanki o weriwereki, kampamail pan lel on komail!
Go to now, all of you rich men, weep and wail for your miseries that shall come upon you.
2 Omail kapwa kan olar, o man en mot kanalar omail likau kan.
Your riches are corrupted, and your garments are moth-eaten.
3 Omail kold o jilper mirelar, ari, ar mir me pan kadede on komail, o pan war pajan uduk omail due kijiniai. Nan komail nakier kapwa ni imwin ran akan.
Your gold and silver is cankered; and the rust of them shall be a witness against you, and shall eat your flesh as it were fire. All of you have heaped treasure together for the last days.
4 Komail war, pwain en toun dodok, me kop penaer dipijou en jap omail, me komail kulia janer, kin weriwer; o likwir en jaundolun akan lel on karona en Kaun Jepaot.
Behold, the hire of the labourers who have reaped down your fields, which is of you kept back by fraud, cries: and the cries of them which have reaped are entered into the ears of the Lord of sabaoth.
5 Komail ipuepuarok kier me jued nin jappa, dender on, komail kamue matier monion omail rajon man wi, me pan kamela.
All of you have lived in pleasure on the earth, and been wanton; all of you have nourished your hearts, as in a day of slaughter.
6 Komail kadeikada o kamela me pun o, a a jota palian komail er.
All of you have condemned and killed the just; and he does not resist you.
7 Ari ri ai ko, komail kononama lao lel en atail Kaun a pan kotin pwarado. Kilan, jaumat amen kin auiaui wa mau en jap o, o a kin kanonama lao katau en maj o mur moredier.
Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, and has long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain.
8 Komail ari pil kanonama eta, katene monion omail, pwe en atail Kaun a pwarado me korendor.
Be all of you also patient; establish your hearts: for the coming of the Lord draws nigh.
9 Ri ai ko, komail der pilipil en pan moli ki amen amen, pwe komail ender pakadeikada. Kilan, jaunkadeik o mi pan wanim.
Grudge not one against another, brethren, lest all of you be condemned: behold, the judge stands before the door.
10 Ri ai ko, ni omail kalokoloko kanonama komail alale jan jaukop akan, me kokopeki ni mar en Kaun o.
Take, my brethren, the prophets, who have spoken in the name of the Lord, for an example of suffering affliction, and of patience.
11 Kilan, kitail kin kapina me dadauratar. Komail roner duen kanonama en lop, o kilaner imwin Kaun O, pwe Kaun o kin kupukupura o kapunlol kaualap.
Behold, we count them happy which endure. All of you have heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the end of the Lord; that the Lord is very pitiful, and of tender mercy.
12 Ri ai ko, komail kalaka, pwe komail der kaula; der kaukila lan de jappa, o der wia eu jon en kaula; a omail japen en ei ta, o omail jo en jo, pwe komail de lodi on kadeik o.
But above all things, my brethren, swear not, neither by heaven, neither by the earth, neither by any other oath: but let your yea be yea; and your nay, nay; lest all of you fall into condemnation.
13 Ma amen re omail kamekam, a en kapakap, a ma amen injenemau, a en kauleki pjalm.
Is any among you afflicted? let him pray. Is any merry? let him sing psalms.
14 Ma amen mi re omail me jomau, en ukado jaunkoa en momodijou kan, pwe irail en kapakapa kin i, murin ar keie kin i le ni mar en Kaun o.
Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord:
15 Ari, kapakap pojon pan kamaureda me jomau o, o Kaun o pan kakelada i, o ma a wiaer dip kai, re pan japedokalar jan.
And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.
16 I me komail en weok pena dip omail o kapakapaki amen amen, pwe komail en kelail la. Kapakap melel en me pun amen kin kareda me toto.
Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that all of you may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.
17 Eliaj aramaj amen dueta kitail, a kapakapaki katau ender moredi, ari jolar katau moredi on jappa ni par jilu o jaunipon wonu.
Elijah was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months.
18 O a kotin pur on kapakap, nanlan ap kamoredier katau, o jap kapareda wa kan.
And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth brought forth her fruit.
19 Ri ai ko, meamen mi re omail, me jalonala ni melel, o amen kajapaledo i,
Brethren, if any of you do go astray from the truth, and one convert him;
20 I en aja, me kajapaledo me dipan amen jan ni a jalonala, a kamaureda jan mela nen eu, me a pan pwain kidi dip toto.
Let him know, that he which converts the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins.
