< Men Korint II 8 >
1 RI ai kan, je men padaki on komail duen mak en Kot en momodijou en Majetonien akan, duen ar kikiwei;
Moreover, brethren, we make known to you the grace of God bestowed on the churches of Macedonia;
2 Pwe ar kalokolok meid laud, o irail pil meid jamama, ari jo, mepukat imwilan peren o mairon laud,
That in a great trial of affliction, the abundance of their joy, and their deep poverty, abounded to the riches of their liberality.
3 Pwe ai kadede irail, me re kida duen me re kak on o laude juri.
For to [their] power, I bear testimony, and even beyond [their] power, [they were] willing of themselves;
4 Pein irail inon ion ap nidenideki on kit, en ale ar kijakij, o ar ian jauaja kijakij wet on jaraui kan.
Praying us with much entreaty, that we would receive the gift, and [take upon us] the fellowship of the ministering to the saints.
5 O re wiadar mepukat, kaidin duen at kaporoporeki, a re ki on Kaun o pein irail maj, ap pil on kit pan kupur en Kot.
And [this they did], not as we hoped, but first gave their own selves to the Lord, and to us by the will of God:
6 Kit ari panaui Tituj en kanikiela mak wet re omail duen a tapiadar maj o.
So that we desired Titus, that as he had begun, so he would also finish in you the same grace also.
7 A duen omail kapwapwaki jon karoj: Ni pojon o majan, o lolekon, o porijok, o omail limpok on kit, iduen komail pil inon ion, en kapwapwa ni mak wet.
Therefore, as ye abound in every [thing], [in] faith and utterance, and knowledge, and [in] all diligence, and [in] your love to us, [see] that ye abound in this grace also.
8 I indai on komail met, kaidin kujoned eu, a pweki porijok en me tei kan, o i kin kajonejon omail limpok, ma a pun de jo.
I speak not by commandment, but by occasion of the forwardness of others, and to prove the sincerity of your love.
9 Pwe komail ajaer mak en atail Kaun Iejuj Krijtuj, duen a kapwapwa, ap jamamalar pweki komail, pwe komail en kapwapwa kila i.
For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich.
10 A iet ai lamelam me i men kajaleda, a meid katepa on komail, pwe komail tapiadar inon ion ap pil kapwaiada dodok mau wet ni par jamalar.
And in this I give [my] advice: for this is expedient for you, who have begun before, not only to do, but also to be forward a year ago.
11 Komail ari kanikiela dodok wet, pwe duen omail men ian onop, iduen komail en wiada jan ni omail kapwapwa.
Now therefore finish the doing [of it]; that as [there was] a readiness to will, so [there may be] a performance also out of that which ye have.
12 A ma amen inon ion, ian dodok wet, a pan konekonela duen me a pan kak on, kaidin duen me a jota kak on.
For if there is first a willing mind, [it is] accepted according to what a man hath, [and] not according to what he hath not.
13 Pwe irail ender mararaki, a komail id toutouki; a karoj en parok pena.
For [I mean] not that other men should be eased, and you burdened:
14 Pwe anjau wet omail kapwapwa en kaitar arail jamama, a arail kapwapwa en kaitar omail jamama, pwe karoj en parok pena.
But by an equality, [that] now at this time your abundance [may be a supply] for their want, that their abundance also may be [a supply] for your want: that there may be equality:
15 Duen a intintidier: Me rik penaer mo toto, a jota men nak, o me rik penaer me malaulau, a jota kin dupok.
As it is written, He that [had gathered] much had nothing over; and he that [had gathered] little had no want.
16 Danke on Kot, me kotin kainon ion monion en Tituj;
But thanks [be] to God, who put the same earnest care into the heart of Titus for you.
17 Pwe a duki on at poeki, a pil pein i inon ion madan pwar won komail.
For indeed he accepted the exhortation; but being more forward, of his own accord he went to you.
18 A kit pil kadar wei ri atail ol ian i, me indandeki a padaki wei ronamau ni momodijou kan karoj.
And we have sent with him the brother, whose praise [is] in the gospel throughout all the churches;
19 A kaidin i eta, pwe momodijou kan pil piladar i, en ian kit papaki mak wet, me kit kin apapwali on kalinanada Kaun o kapina omail inon ion mau.
And not [that] only, but who was also chosen by the churches to travel with us with this grace, which is administered by us to the glory of the same Lord, and [declaration of] your ready mind:
20 Kanakanai on, pwe amen de kajapune kin kit at paki kijakij laud wet,
Avoiding this, that no man should blame us in this abundance which is administered by us:
21 Kit pil kin majamajan, pwe karoj en inen, kaidin mon Kaun eta, pwe pil mon aramaj akan.
Providing for honest things, not only in the sight of the Lord, but also in the sight of men.
22 A kit kadar ir wei ianaki ri atail o, me diarokadar ni jon toto, me a porijok, a anjau wet a porijok jan maj ni a liki komail.
And we have sent with them our brother, whom we have often proved [to be] diligent in many things, but now much more diligent, upon the great confidence which [I have] in you.
23 Ari, ma amen pan idok duen Tituj, i ai warok o jauaja pai re omail; a duen ri atail akan, irail me men en kadar en momodijou kan o linan en Krijtuj.
If [any inquire] concerning Titus, [he is] my partner and fellow-helper concerning you: or our brethren [be inquired of], [they are] the messengers of the churches, [and] the glory of Christ.
24 Komail ari kajanjale on irail mon momodijou kan omail limpok ni omail apapwali irail duen i kapina kin komail.
Wherefore show ye to them, and before the churches, the proof of your love, and of our boasting on your behalf.
