< Men Korint II 10 >
1 ARI pein nai Pauluj men panaui komail nin tiak en opampap o limpok en Krijtuj; pwe ni ai mi nan pun omail, i kin aktikitik, a ni ai doo wei ian komail, i kin kelail on komail
Now I Paul myself beseech you, by the meekness and gentleness of Christ, who in presence [am] base among you, but being absent am bold towards you:
2 A i kin kapakapeki, pwe i ender kelail ni ai pan korendo; pwe i kileledier o lamelame, me I pan kelail on akai, me kin wia kin kit men kekeideki tiak en pali uduk.
But I beseech [you], that I may not be bold when I am present with that confidence, with which I think to be bold against some, who think of us as if we walked according to the flesh.
3 Pwe melel, je kin mimita nan uduk, ap jota pepei ni tiak en uduk.
For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh:
4 Pwe kapwa en at pei kaidin men ni pali uduk, pwe me manaman mon Kot, me mau on kawela waja teneten kan.
(For the weapons of our warfare [are] not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds; )
5 Ni at kin kawela me akapun o me aklapalap, me kin palian erpit en Kot; o kit kin jaliedi jon en lamelam karoj, pwen oke Krijtuj.
Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
6 O audaude on kaloedi me katiwo karoj, omail peik lao pwanokadar.
And having in a readiness to avenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.
7 Komail kin kilekilan meakan me janjal? Ma amen lamelame, me pein i japwilim en Krijtuj, I en pein lameda, me kit pil japwilim en Krijtuj dueta i.
Do ye look on things after the outward appearance? If any man trusteth to himself that he is Christ's, let him of himself think this again, that, as he [is] Christ's, even so [are] we Christ's.
8 Pwe ma i pan juaiki laude jan at manaman, me Kaun o kotiki on kit, pwen kamaui a kaidin kawe komail la, i jota pan namenokki.
For though I should boast somewhat more of our authority, which the Lord hath given us for edification, and not for your destruction, I should not be ashamed:
9 Pwe ender janjal duen amen me men kamajak kin komail nai kijin likau kan,
That I may not seem as if I would terrify you by letters.
10 Pwe irail me inda: Kijin likau kan me kajampwal o manaman, a janjal en pali war a me luet, o a padak me mal kot.
For [his] letters (say they) [are] weighty and powerful; but [his] bodily presence [is] weak, and [his] speech contemptible.
11 A me duen met a en aja duen at kin inda nan kijin likau kan ni at doo wei jan komail, iduen pein kit ni at wiawia kan nan pun omail.
Let such one think this, that such as we are in word by letters when we are absent, such [will we be] also in deed when we are present.
12 Pwe kit jota man mauki waroki on me kin juaiki pein irail; a irail me jololekon, pweki ar jojon pein irail nan pun arail.
For we dare not make ourselves of the number, or compare ourselves with some that commend themselves: but they measuring themselves by themselves, and comparing themselves among themselves, are not wise.
13 A kit jota men juaiki me laud jan me kon on, a duen men jon eu, me Kot kotin’pan on kit, jon eu, me itar lel on komail.
But we will not boast of things without [our] measure, but according to the measure of the rule which God hath distributed to us, a measure to reach even to you.
14 Pwe kit jota inon ion, me jota kon on, dene je jota pwar won komail er, a je pil walan komail ronamau en Krijtuj.
For we stretch not ourselves beyond [our measure], as though we reached not to you; for we are come as far as to you also in [preaching] the gospel of Christ:
15 Kit jota kin juaiki me laud jan me kon on, dene je juaiki en amen a dodok. A je kaporoporeki omail pojon lao kakairida, at dodok pil pan laud jan re omail,
Not boasting of things without [our] measure, [that is], of other men's labors; but having hope, when your faith is increased, that we shall be enlarged by you, according to our rule abundantly,
16 Pwen pil padaki ronamau nin jap akan palila jan komail, a kaidin wajan dodok on amen o jota juaiki me wiauier.
To preach the gospel in the [regions] beyond you, [and] not to boast in another man's line of things made ready to our hand.
17 A ma amen men juaiki, I en juaiki Kaun o.
But he that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.
18 Pwe kaidin i meakot, me kin kapina pein i, pwe i eta, me Kaun o kin kapina.
For not he that commendeth himself is approved, but whom the Lord commendeth.
