< Timoteuj I 1 >

1 PAULUJ wanporon en Iejuj Krijtuj amen pan kujoned en Kot Jaunkamaur patail o Krijtuj Iejuj, me kitail kaporoporeki,
Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the commandment of God our Savior, and Lord Jesus Christ, [who is] our hope;
2 On Timoteuj nai jeri melel ni pojon mak o limpok, o popol jan ren Kot Jam o Krijtuj Iejuj atail Kaun.
To Timothy, [my] own son in the faith: Grace, mercy, [and] peace, from God our Father and Jesus Christ our Lord.
3 Duen ai poeki re om, en mimieta Epijuj ni ai pan kola Majetonien, pwe koe en kapun on akai, ren der wia padak toror.
As I besought thee to abide still at Ephesus, when I went into Macedonia, that thou mightest charge some that they teach no other doctrine,
4 Pil der kamelele kajoi mal o padok en di to to, me kareda Akamai ap jota jauja koa dodok en Kot, me tapi jan pojon.
Neither give heed to fables and endless genealogies, which minister questions, rather than godly edifying which is in faith; [so do].
5 Pwe aude pan kujoned limpok jan nan monion makelekel, o injen mau, o pojon melel.
Now the end of the commandment is charity out of a pure heart, and [of] a good conscience, and [of] faith unfeigned:
6 Jan mepukat akai muei janer, rap wuki on poupoulap.
From which some having swerved, have turned aside to vain jangling;
7 Re men wiala jaunpadak en kapun, ap jo weweki, me re inda, o me re kin men padaki kaualap.
Desiring to be teachers of the law; understanding neither what they say, nor concerning what they affirm.
8 A kitail aja, kapun me mau, ma amen jo kajapune.
But we know that the law [is] good, if a man useth it lawfully;
9 O je aja, me jota kapun en wiaui on me pun amen, a on me japun kan, o katiwo kan, o me doo jan Kot akan, o me dipan akan, o me jo jaraui kan, o me jan Kot akan, o me kin kaloke jam ar in ar, o me kamela aramaj akan.
Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers, and murderers of mothers, for man-slayers,
10 O me nenek kan, o me madon jaut on ol oko, o me kin pirap aramaj akan, o me likam kan, o me kaula likam akan, o ma pil meakot mia, me jo kon on padak en kamour.
For lewd persons, for them that defile themselves with mankind, for men-stealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and if there is any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine,
11 Duen ronamau en linan en Kot iajanai me pan don ia.
According to the glorious gospel of the blessed God, which was committed to my trust.
12 I ap danke Krijtuj Iejuj atail Kaun, me kotin kamane ia da o kamelel ia ni a kotin kajapwil ia dan dodok.
And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who hath enabled me, for that he counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry;
13 pwe maj o nai lalaue amen, o kaloke jaulan kan, ao lolap amen, ari jo I diaradar mak o, pwe I wiadar mepukat ap jaja o ni ai jopojon.
Who was before a blasphemer, and a persecutor, and injurious: but I obtained mercy, because I did [it] ignorantly in unbelief:
14 A mak en atail Kaun me lapalap alar kaualap ni pojon o limpok, me mi reh Krijtuj.
And the grace of our Lord was exceeding abundant with faith and love which is in Christ Jesus.
15 Melel lepen kajoi lep, o me mau on kamelele: Krijtuj Iejuj pwara don jappa, pwen dorela me dipan akan; a nai me jued jan karoj.
This [is] a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.
16 Ari jo, I diaradar mak o, pwe Iejuj Krijtuj en kotin kajaleda a kanonama lapalap re i, pwe men kaalemoni on me pan pojon, pwen maur joutuk. (aiōnios g166)
However, for this cause I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might show forth all long-suffering, for a pattern to them who should hereafter believe on him to life everlasting. (aiōnios g166)
17 A nanmarki potpot, me jo kak mor pajan, o jo janjal, I Kot eta. Wau o linan en ko on I potopoteta! Amen. (aiōn g165)
Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, God the only wise, [be] honor and glory for ever and ever. Amen. (aiōn g165)
18 Kujoned wet I men pan on uk, nai jeri Timoteuj, duen deideikop akan, me wiaui on uk er, pwe ren jauaju uk, en wia pei mau eu.
This charge I commit to thee, son Timothy, according to the prophecies which went before on thee, that thou by them mayest war a good warfare;
19 Ni om dadauata pojon o kanakanai on injen om mau, me akai pein kaje jan irail, ap peila jan nin pojon.
Holding faith and a good conscience; which some having put away, concerning faith have made shipwreck:
20 Amen irail Imenauj o amen Alekjander, me panalan Jatan, pwe ren lelapok ki kalokolok, ap jolar lalaue.
Of whom is Hymeneus and Alexander; whom I have delivered to Satan, that they may learn not to blaspheme.
