< Men Rom 3 >
1 ARI, da me Sus akan paieki mon me tei kan de da kadepan sirkomsais?
What advantage then hath the Jew? or what profit [is there] of circumcision?
2 O me toto, ni song karos; iet kaieu: Masan en Kot akan kanikid ong irail.
Much every way: chiefly, because that unto them were committed the oracles of God.
3 A ma akai soposon a pil menda? Pwe ar soposon pan kak kawela kalangan en Kot?
For what if some did not believe? shall their unbelief make the faith of God without effect?
4 O so! Pwe Kot udan melel, a aramas karos me likam duen a intingidier: Ir eta me pung ni ar masan akan, o komui pan kotin poedi ni ar pakadeikada.
God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when thou art judged.
5 A ma atail sapung kaindinda pung en Kot, da me kitail en inda? Dadue, Kot me pil sapung, pweki a kotin ongiong kida? I kin lokaia ni tiak en aramas.
But if our unrighteousness commend the righteousness of God, what shall we say? [Is] God unrighteous who taketh vengeance? (I speak as a man)
6 O so! Pwe ma iduen, Kot pan kak kadeikada sappa?
God forbid: for then how shall God judge the world?
7 Pwe ma melel en Kot pwai kida ai likam kan, pwen kalinganada i, menda i pan pakadeikada, dene dipan amen ngai?
For if the truth of God hath more abounded through my lie unto his glory; why yet am I also judged as a sinner?
8 A so mau ong duen at indand sued, pwe akai kin inda, me dene kit kin padaki wei: Kitail en wiada me sued, pwen kareda me mau? Nan arail kalokolok me pung.
And not [rather], (as we be slanderously reported, and as some affirm that we say, ) Let us do evil, that good may come? whose damnation is just.
9 Iaduen atail pai mau sang arail? Kaidin, pwe se kadededar, me Sus o men Krik karos mi pan dip,
What then? are we better [than they]? No, in no wise: for we have before proved both Jews and Gentiles, that they are all under sin;
10 Duen a intingidier: Sota me pung amen, sota amen.
As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:
11 Sota me lolekong amen, sota me kin rapaki Kot.
There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God.
12 Karos me sapunglar, irail wiaki eu mamalar, sota meamen, me kin wiada me mau, sota amen.
They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.
13 Tapin wor arail me rasong sousou eu, me saikenta sarep pena, lo arail me re liliapaki, wini en kamela mimi ni oton ngi arail;
Their throat [is] an open sepulchre; with their tongues they have used deceit; the poison of asps [is] under their lips:
14 Au ar me dir en lalaue o katik,
Whose mouth [is] full of cursing and bitterness:
15 Nä arail me marara ong kamela aramas;
Their feet [are] swift to shed blood:
16 Nan al arail me dir en sued o mauk;
Destruction and misery [are] in their ways:
17 A al en popol me re sasa;
And the way of peace have they not known:
18 Re sota kin masak Kot.
There is no fear of God before their eyes.
19 A kitail asaer, me kapung o lolok ong, me kin papa kapung pwe au karos en sapaimokid o sappa pon lodi ong kadeik en Kot.
Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God.
20 Ari mon Kot sota uduk me pan pung kila a wiawia kapung, pwe kapung me dip kadiarok kidar;
Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law [is] the knowledge of sin.
21 A ansau wet pung en Kot sansaledar likin kapung o kadede kidar kapung o saukop akan.
But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets;
22 A pung en Kot me pwili sang poson Iesus Kristus, ap lel ong karos me poson.
Even the righteousness of God [which is] by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:
23 Pwe sota lipilipil, karos me wiadar dip o sota kak konodi lingan en Kot.
For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
24 Irail pan pung kila a mak sapan, pweki en Kristus Iesus a kotin dore kitail lar,
Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:
25 Me Kot kotin kasansaledar en wiala mol en kalangan ni poson nt’a, pwen kasansaleda a pung ni a kotin lapwada dip en mas akan, me mier pan papadake en Kot.
Whom God hath set forth [to be] a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;
26 A ansau wet a kotin kadededa a pung. Ieteten, me pein i me pung, ap pan kotin kapungala karos me poson Iesus.
To declare, [I say], at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.
27 Ari, ia men suaiki? A lokidokilar! Ren kapung da? En wiawia kan? Kaidin, a ren kapung en poson.
Where [is] boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith.
28 Ari, iet me se inda: Aramas en pung kila poson a kaidin wiawia en kapung kan.
Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.
29 De Kot en men Sus akan arail Kot eta? Kaidin pil Kot en men liki kan? Ei melel, pil en men liki!
[Is he] the God of the Jews only? [is he] not also of the Gentiles? Yes, of the Gentiles also:
30 Ari, Kot me ta men, me kin kapung kila me sirkomsais akan pweki poson, pil sosirkomsais akan pweki poson.
Seeing [it is] one God, which shall justify the circumcision by faith, and uncircumcision through faith.
31 Iaduen, kitail kin tiakedi kapung pweki poson? O so! Pwe kitail kin kapwaiada kapung o.
Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law.
