< Psalm 6 >
1 MAING, kom der kotin kaloke kin ia omui ongiong, o der kame kin ia omui ongiong lapala!
Adonai, don’t rebuke me in your anger, neither discipline me in your wrath.
2 Maing, kom kotin maki ong ia, pwe ngai me luet. Maing, kom kotin kamau ia la, Maing Ieowa, pwe ti kan me luetalar.
Have mercy on me, Adonai, for I am faint. Adonai, heal me, for my bones are troubled.
3 O ngen i waponda melel. O Maing, arai da?
My soul is also in great anguish. But you, Adonai, how long?
4 Maing, kom kotin saupei dong ia, dorela ngen i. Kom kotin sauasa ia ni omui kalangan!
Teshuvah ·Completely return·, Adonai. Deliver my soul, and save me for your chesed ·loving-kindness’· sake.
5 Pwe murin melar solar me pan tamanda komui; o is me pan kapinga komui wasan mela? (Sheol )
For in death there is no memory of you. In Sheol ·Place of the dead·, who shall yadah ·extend hands in thankful praise· to you? (Sheol )
6 I panga kida ai sangesang sang sautik lel mansang; i kawisokisokela ai los pil en mas ai.
I am weary with my groaning. Every night I flood my bed. I drench my couch with my tears.
7 Mom ai suede kilar ai insensued, o i malar, pweki kamakamasak pai me toto.
My eye wastes away because of grief. It grows old because of all my adversaries.
8 Komail aramas morsued akan karos kaiwei sang ia, pwe Ieowa kotin mangi ai sangesang.
Depart from me, all you workers of vain striving of iniquity, for Adonai has sh'ma ·heard obeyed· the voice of my weeping.
9 Ieowa kotin mangi ai ngidingid, o Ieowa kotin mangier ai kapakap.
Adonai has sh'ma ·heard obeyed· my supplication. Adonai accepts my prayer.
10 Ai imwintiti karos pan namenokela o masakada melel, re pan tangwei o madang sarodi.
May all my enemies be ashamed and dismayed. They shall turn back, they shall be disgraced suddenly.
