< Psalm 48 >
1 IEOWA meid lapalap, o a indand mau melel nan kanim en atail Kot, pon sapwilim a dol saraui!
“A song and psalm by the sons of Korach.” Great is the Lord, and highly praised in the city of our God, [in] his holy mountain.
2 Meid kaselel en dol Sion a uda, me sap karos kin peren kida; ni pali apong kanim en nanamarki lapalap mimi ia.
A beautiful district, the joy of the whole earth, is mount Zion, the farthest north, the city of the great King.
3 Toun im kalaimun akan asa Kot, me i pere parail.
God is become known in her palaces as a defence.
4 Pwe kilang, nanmarki kan pokon pena, ap daulul wei.
For, lo, the kings were assembled, they are passed away together.
5 Irail puriamui kila ni ar kilanger mepukat; irail masapwekadar o tanger.
They indeed saw—[and] so they were astonished; they were terrified, they were confounded.
6 Irail rerer, o re masak dueta li pan naitik amen.
Trembling seized on them there, pain, as on a woman in travail.
7 Kom kin kotin kawela sop en Tarsis ki ang en mas en lang.
With the east wind thou breakest the ships of Tharshish.
8 Duen atail rongadar, iduen kitail kin kilangada nan kanim en Ieowa Sepaot, nan kanim en atail Kot; Kot kin kolekol i kokolata. (Sela)
As we have heard, so have we seen [it] in the city of the Lord of hosts, in the city of our God: God will establish it for ever. (Selah)
9 Maing Kot se kin tamatamanda omui kalangan nan sapwilim ar tanpas im en kaudok.
We have reflected on thy kindness, O God, in the midst of thy temple.
10 Maing Kot duen mar omui iduen wau omui lel ni imwin sappa; pali maun omui me dir en pung.
As thy name is, O God, so is thy praise over the ends of the earth: of righteousness is thy right hand full.
11 Dol en Sion en pereperen, o nain Iuda seripein ko en insenemauki omui kadeik kan.
Let mount Zion rejoice, let the daughters of Judah be glad, because of thy judgments.
12 Komail kaidong kapil pena Sion, wadok im teng kan;
Compass Zion about, and walk round about her; number her towers.
13 Kilekilang mau a kel takai kan, o kasakasaui a im kalaimun akan, pwe komail en kak kasoia ong men mur akan,
Direct your mind to her outer wall, mark carefully her palaces: in order that ye may tell it to the latest generation.
14 Me Kot men et, pan atail Kot ansau karos kokolata. A pan kotin kalua kitail kokolata.
For this One is God, our God for ever and ever: he will be our guide even unto death.
