Psalm 41

1 MEID pai me kin apwali me samama o. Ieowa pan kotin dorela i ni ran apwal.

[For the Chief Musician. A Psalm by David.] Blessed is he who considers the poor and needy. YHWH will deliver him in the day of evil.

2 Ieowa pan kotin apwali i o sinsila a maur, o a pan pwaida nin sappa, o a sota pan mueidala i nan pa en a imwintiti kan.

YHWH will protect him, and keep him alive. He shall be blessed on the earth, and he will not surrender him to the will of his enemies.

3 Ieowa pan kotin kakelada i ni a pan mela; kom kin kotin sauasa i ni a somau karos.

YHWH will sustain him on his sickbed, and restore him from his bed of illness.

4 Ngai inda: Maing, kom kotin maki ong ia; kakelada ngen i, pwe ngai wiadar dip ong komui.

I said, "YHWH, have mercy on me. Heal me, for I have sinned against you."

My enemies speak evil against me: "When will he die, and his name perish?"

If he comes to see me, he speaks falsehood. His heart gathers iniquity to itself. When he goes abroad, he tells it.

All who hate me whisper together against me. They imagine the worst for me.

"A wicked thing is poured out on him; and he who lies down will not rise again."

Even my own close friend, in whom I trusted, who ate my bread, has lifted up his heel against me.

But you, YHWH, have mercy on me, and raise me up, that I may repay them.

11 I me i pan asaki, me kom kotin kupura ia, pwe ai imwintiti ender ngisingis kin ia.

By this I know that you delight in me, because my enemy doesn't triumph over me.

12 A kom kin kolekol ia pweki ia lelapok, o kom pan kotin kasone ia di mon silang omui kokolata.

As for me, you uphold me in my integrity, and set me in your presence forever.

13 Kapinga ong Ieowa, Kot en Israel sang met o kokolata! Amen. Amen.

Blessed be YHWH, the God of Israel, from everlasting and to everlasting. Amen and amen.
