< Psalm 142 >
1 I LIKWIRKI ngil laud ong Ieowa. Ki ngil ai i kin ngidingideki ong Ieowa.
Maschil of David, when he was in the cave; a Prayer. I cry with my voice unto the LORD; with my voice unto the LORD do I make supplication.
2 I kin kasansale ong i ai apwal akan, o i padaki ong i katoutou pa i kan.
I pour out my complaint before him; I shew before him my trouble.
3 Ngen i lao luetala, kom ap pan kotin apapwali. Irail rir wiai ong ia insar eu liman al, me i kin weid ia.
When my spirit was overwhelmed within me, thou knewest my path. In the way wherein I walk have they hidden a snare for me.
4 I kilang ni pali maun i, ari sota, me men sauasa ia; i sota kak pitila, pwe sota me kin idok ia.
Look on [my] right hand, and see; for there is no man that knoweth me: refuge hath failed me; no man careth for my soul.
5 Maing Ieowa, i likwir wong komui, o potoan: Komui me ai paip, o pwais ai nan sap en me maur akan.
I cried unto thee, O LORD; I said, Thou art my refuge, my portion in the land of the living.
6 Kom kotin mangi ai weriwer, pwe ngai meid luet; dore ia la sang me kin pakipaki ia; pwe ngai sota itar ong ir.
Attend unto my cry; for I am brought very low: deliver me from my persecutors; for they are stronger than I.
7 Kalua sang ngen i nan imateng, pwe i en kapinga mar omui. Me pung kan pan pokon dong ia, ma kom pan kotin sauasa ia.
Bring my soul out of prison, that I may give thanks unto thy name: the righteous shall compass me about; for thou shalt deal bountifully with me.
