< Men Pilipi 1 >
1 PAULUS o Timoteus ladun Iesus Kristus ong me saraui kan karos en Kristus Iesus o pisop o saunkoa kan nan Pilipi.
PAUL and Timotheus, the servants of Jesus Christ, to all the saints in Christ Jesus which are at Philippi, with the bishops and deacons:
2 Mak o popol sang ren Kot Sam atail o Kaun Iesus Kristus en mi re omail!
Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.
3 I kin danke ai Kot ni ai tamatamanda komail.
I thank my God upon every remembrance of you,
4 I me i kin wiada ni ai kapakap kin komail ansau karos, o i kin kapakap ni pereperen.
Always in every prayer of mine for you all making request with joy,
5 Pweki omail dadaurata rongamau sang ni tapi o kokodo lel met.
For your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now;
6 O i kamelele me i, me tapiadar wiawia mau eu re omail, pil pan kanikiela lao lel ran en Iesus Kristus.
Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:
7 Me pung i en kamelele mepukat duen komail karos, pwe i kin kolekol komail nan mongiong i ni ai salidi wet, wasa i kin kaweweda o kadededa rongamau; a komail karos kin iang ia kapwaiada mak wet.
Even as it is meet for me to think this of you all, because I have you in my heart; inasmuch as both in my bonds, and in the defence and confirmation of the gospel, ye all are partakers of my grace.
8 Pwe Kot ai saunkadede, duen i kin loleiteki komail pan kupur en Kristus Iesus.
For God is my record, how greatly I long after you all in the bowels of Jesus Christ.
And this I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and in all judgment;
That ye may approve things that are excellent; that ye may be sincere and without offence till the day of Christ;
11 O direki wan pung kan, me kin wiaui ren Iesus Kristus men kalinganada o kapinga Kot.
Being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ, unto the glory and praise of God.
12 Ri ai kan, i men, komail en asa ir ai, me dialan kaindindar rongamau,
But I would ye should understand, brethren, that the things which happened unto me have fallen out rather unto the furtherance of the gospel;
13 Nan i ai salidi kan pweki Kristus, me pwarapwaradar nan im en monsap o wasa karos.
So that my bonds in Christ are manifest in all the palace, and in all other places;
14 O ri atail toto pan kupur en Kaun, me aingar kidar ai salidi kan, ap aima sang mas o, en padaki masan en Kot ap so masak.
And many of the brethren in the Lord, waxing confident by my bonds, are much more bold to speak the word without fear.
15 A akai kin padaki duen Kristus akpeirin, o akamai, o akai sang nan ar inong mau.
Some indeed preach Christ even of envy and strife; and some also of good will:
16 A met akan ni limpok, pwe re asa, me ngai salidier, pwen kadede pan rongamau.
The one preach Christ of contention, not sincerely, supposing to add affliction to my bonds:
17 Irail kin padaki duen Kristus kapei lokaia o so melel, re kiki ong, me re pan kalaudela ai salidi kan;
But the other of love, knowing that I am set for the defence of the gospel.
18 A pil menda? Pwe Kristus kin lolok sili ni song karos, ma ni akamai de ni melel, i me i peren kida, ei i pan pereperen.
What then? notwithstanding, every way, whether in pretence, or in truth, Christ is preached; and I therein do rejoice, yea, and will rejoice.
For I know that this shall turn to my salvation through your prayer, and the supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ,
20 Duen ai inong iong, o auiaui, o kaporoporeki, me i sota pan namenokala ni eu song.
According to my earnest expectation and my hope, that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but that with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ shall be magnified in my body, whether it be by life, or by death.
21 Pwe Kristus, i maur i, o mela ai pai.
For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.
22 A ma i pan memaurata ni pali uduk, ai wiawia kan pan kadepa; ari i ap sasa, da me i en pilada.
But if I live in the flesh, this is the fruit of my labour: yet what I shall choose I wot not.
23 Pwe i mauki ira karos: I inong iong mela, pwen mila ren Kristus, pwe i eta me mau.
For I am in a strait betwixt two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ; which is far better:
24 A ai mimieta ni pali uduk me mau song pweki komail.
Nevertheless to abide in the flesh is more needful for you.
25 Ari, i ap asa, me i pan mimieta re omail karos, pwen sauasa omail peren o poson,
And having this confidence, I know that I shall abide and continue with you all for your furtherance and joy of faith;
That your rejoicing may be more abundant in Jesus Christ for me by my coming to you again.
27 Ari, komail weweid duen me warong rongamau en Kristus, pwe ma i pwaralang komail, de ni ai doo, i en rong, me komail keleki ngen ta ieu, o komail lamalam ta pot, i iang kelail dodok ong rongamau ki poson.
Only let your conversation be as it becometh the gospel of Christ: that whether I come and see you, or else be absent, I may hear of your affairs, that ye stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel;
28 O komail ender waponki, me kin palian komail akan, pwe i kasansale pan arail pan lokidokila, a omail pan maurela; a mepukat sang ren Kot.
And in nothing terrified by your adversaries: which is to them an evident token of perdition, but to you of salvation, and that of God.
29 Pwe a muei ong komail er pan kupur en Kristus, kaidin poson eta, pwen pil kalokolokeki i,
For unto you it is given in the behalf of Christ, not only to believe on him, but also to suffer for his sake;
30 Pwe komail kin wia pei ota, me komail kilanger re i, o me komail kin rong duen ngai.
Having the same conflict which ye saw in me, and now hear to be in me.
