< Ioanes 2 >
1 A NI kasilu en ran kamadip en kapapaud wiaui Kana nan Kaliläa; a in en Iesus kot wasa o.
And the third day a wedding occurred in Cana of Galilee, and the mother of Jesus was there.
2 Iesus o sapwilim a tounpadak kan me pil luke dong kamadip o.
And Jesus also was invited, and his disciples, to the wedding.
3 Arail wain lao roselar, in en Iesus ap masani ong i: Solar arail wain.
And having lacked wine the mother of Jesus says to him, They have no wine.
4 Iesus kotin masani ong i: Li, menda re om? Ai ansau saikenta leler.
And Jesus says to her, What is with me and with thee, woman? My hour is not yet here.
5 In a ap masani ong papa kan: Komail wiada meakaros, me a pan kotin masani ong komail.
His mother says to the helpers, Whatever he may say to you, do.
6 Ari, potel takai wonu mi wasa o, en Sus akan ar men dopedop lole. Eu me laude ong metreten riau de silu.
Now there were six stone water pots laying there in accordance with the purification of the Jews, containing two or three measures each.
7 Iesus kotin masani ong irail: Komail idip ong pil en potel akan! Irail ari kodiada lel au ar.
Jesus says to them, Fill the water pots with water. And they filled them until over.
8 A ap kotin masani ong irail: Deukada, wala ren me kaun en konot: Irail ap wala.
And he says to them, Draw out now, and carry to the feast-ruler. And they carried.
9 Kaun en konot lao song kis pil, me wia wain la, o so asa, a idipi sang ia, a papa kan, me idip pil da, asa. Kaun en konot ap ekeredo ol kamod o,
And when the feast-ruler tasted the water that became wine, and had not known from where it was (but the helpers who drew the water had known), the feast-ruler called the bridegroom,
10 Indang i: Aramas karos kin kida mas wain mau, toun kamadip lao medilar, re kin kida, me sota non mau. A komui kin nekinekid wain mau lel met.
and says to him, Every man sets out the good wine first, and when they drank much, then the lesser. Thou have kept the good wine until now.
11 I met tapidan kilel akan, me Iesus kotin wiadar Kana nan Kaliläa, o kotin kasaleda a lingan, o sapwilim a tounpadak kan posonla i.
This is the beginning of the signs Jesus did in Cana of Galilee, and he manifested his glory. And his disciples believed in him.
12 A murin met a kotidilang Kapernaum, i o in a, o ri a ol akan, o sapwilim a tounpadak kan, ari, sota non ran toto, me re kotikot wasa o.
After this he went down to Capernaum, he and his mother and his brothers and his disciples. And they remained there not many days.
13 A pasa en Sus akan me korendor, a Iesus kotidalang Ierusalem.
And the Passover of the Jews was near, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem.
14 A kotin masani nan im en kaudok men netinet en kau, o sip, o muroi, o men wiliandi moni me momod ia.
And he found sitting in the temple those who sell oxen and sheep and doves, and the moneychangers.
15 Ap kotin wiakida men wokiwok sal akai, ap woki ir sang nan im en kaudok iangaki sip o kau akan, o moni en saunwiliandi a kotin kasapokela o kotin wukedidi tepel akan.
And having made a whip from cords, he drove all out from the temple, both the sheep and the oxen. And he poured out the coins of the moneychangers, and turned over their tables.
16 Ap kotin masani ong men netinet en muroi kan: Wawei sang met met akan, o der wiakidar tanpas en Sam ai im en net eu!
And he said to those who sell the doves, Take these things from here. Make not my Father's house a house of merchandise.
17 A sapwilim a tounpadak kan tamanda me intingidier: Limpok ong tanpas omui me kasor ia dier.
And his disciples remembered that it is written, Zeal for thy house will consume me.
18 Sus oko ap sapeng indang i: Kilel da, me kom kadedeki ong kit, me komui manaman ong, en wiada mepukat?
The Jews therefore answered, and said to him, What sign do thou show us since thou do these things?
19 Iesus kotin sapeng masani ong irail: Palanga pasang im en kaudok wet, a pong sili pong I pan kauada.
Jesus answered and said to them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.
20 Sus oko ap indada: Par ngaulwonu me im en kaudok wet wiaui kidar, a pong sili pong komui pan kaua kida?
The Jews therefore said, This temple was forty-six years being built, and will thou raise it up in three days?
21 Ari, tanpas en pali war a, me a kotin masanie kida.
But that man spoke about the temple of his body.
22 A lao iasadar sang a matalar, sapwilim a tounpadak kan ap tamandar, me a kotin masanier mepukat. Irail ari poson kisin likau kan o masan, me Iesus kotin masaniadar.
When therefore he was raised from the dead his disciples remembered that he spoke this, and they believed the scripture and the word that Jesus said.
23 Ni a kotikot Ierusalem ni pasa, ni kamadip o, me toto posonla mar a, ni ar kilanger kilel akan, me a kotin wiadar.
Now when he was in Jerusalem at the Passover during the feast, many believed in his name seeing his signs that he did.
24 A Iesus sota kotin liki ong ir pein i, pwe a kotin mangi irail karos.
But Jesus did not trust himself to them, because he knew all men,
25 O a sota mau ong, meamen en kadede ong i aramas amen, pwe pein i kotin mangi lol en aramas.
and because he had no need that any man should testify about man, for he himself knew what was in man.
