< Men Episus 4 >

1 NGAI en Kaun a salidi men, kin panaui komail, pwe komail en kekeid inenweita ni koa eu, me komail paeker ong,
I therefore, a prisoner for the sake of the Lord, exhort you to walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called, with all humility and meekness;
2 Ni karakarak melel, o opampap, o kanongama, o limpok pena nan pung omail.
and with long-suffering forbear one another in love,
endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace: for there is but one body and one Spirit,
even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;
5 Kaun ta men, poson ta ieu, paptais ta ieu,
one Lord, one faith, one baptism,
6 Kot o Sam en karos me ta men me kotin poedi meakaros o daudaulole, o me kotikot lol atail karos.
one God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in all.
7 A kitail karos aleer atail pai en mak duen song en kupur en Kristus.
But grace is given to each of us, according to the measure of the gift of Christ.
8 I me a kotin masani: Ni a kotidalang poa, a kotin saliedi me salidi kan, o a kotiki ong aramas pai kan.
Wherefore it is said, "When he ascended on high, He led captivity captive, and gave gifts to men."
9 A iaduen, ma a kotidalang poa, kaidin a pil so kotidilar pa sed, wasa lolia mas o?
Now this expression "He ascended" what does it mean, but that He descended first into the lower parts of the earth?
10 Me kotidila, i ota, me kotida wei ileila sang nanlang kan karos, pwen kadirela wasa karos.
He that descended is the same also that ascended far above all heavens, that he might fill all things.
And therefore He gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers; to qualify holy men for the work of the ministry,
12 Pwen kapungala saraui kan ong wiawia dodok eu, me pan kauada war en Kristus.
to the edifying of the body of Christ:
13 Kitail karos lao lel ong poson ta ieu, o lolekong ki Sapwilim en Kot, o wiala ol melel, me paroki ong Kristus ni a unsokela,
till we all arrive in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, at perfect maturity, even to the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ.
14 Pwe kitail en solar tau en seri pwelel, me mokimokideki sili padak likam, me kin pwai kida kotaue en aramas akan o ar likam, o widiwiding me re kin wiada, pwen kaweid sapung.
That we may be no longer children fluctuating and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the artful insinuations of men, and their crafty methods of deceiving;
but holding the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him, who is the head, even Christ:
16 Me war pon kakauda sang o kokon akan karos katengeteng pena ia; a kokon pukat papa pena, duen dodok en kokon akan eu eu, duen ar itar ong, iduen war o kin kakairida o maular ni limpok.
from whom the whole body being fitly joined together and compacted by the aid of every joint, according to the operation proportioned to every part, maketh an increase to the edification of itself in love.
17 I me i indai ong komail o kadede kila Kaun o, me komail ender weweid dueta men liki kan kin wia ni aklapalap en ngen ir.
This I say therefore, and charge you in the name of the Lord, that ye no longer walk as the rest of the Gentiles walk,
18 Me ngen arail rotorotalar, o re sang maur en Kot, pweki ar sololekong me mi lol arail o pweki mongiong arail kapitakailar.
in the vanity of their mind, darkened in their understanding, and alienated from the life of God, through the ignorance that is in them, by reason of the hardness of their heart:
19 Me solar pam wasa, ap mueid ong pein irail, en dender o inong iong kapwaiada song en saut akan karos.
who, being past feeling, have given themselves up to lasciviousness, to commit all uncleanness with greediness.
20 A kaidin iduen, me komail asadar ren Kristus.
But ye have not so learned Christ;
21 Ma komail ronger duen i o padakki i, me tiak melel mi ren Iesus.
if ye have indeed hearkened to Him, and been instructed in Him, as the truth is in Jesus; to put off the old man,
22 Komail ari muei sang tiak en mas o aramas maring, me kin kawe kila pein i inong sued.
which according to your former conversation was corrupted with deceitful lusts,
23 A komail en kawilikapada ngen omail!
and be renewed in the spirit of your mind;
and to put on the new man, which according to the image of God is created in righteousness, and true holiness.
25 I me komail en kasela likam amen amen ap lokaia melel ong men impa, pwe kitail sau ta ieu.
Wherefore putting away lying, speak ye every one truth to his neighbor; for we are all members of one society.
26 Ni makar komail der wia dip, o katipin der kirila mon omail insenemaula.
Be angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath;
27 Ender duki ong tewil o!
and give not the devil room to ensnare you.
28 Me pirap, ender pur ong pirap, a mak eta, en dodok, kadokeki pa kan dipisou mau, pwen kaonop da kisakis ong me samama kan.
Let him that stole steal no more; but rather let him labour, doing some good with his hands, that he may have something to bestow on him that hath need of it.
29 Kasoi saut ender ko wei sang nan au omail, a men kamau, pwen papaki ong me karong akan me mau.
Let no corrupt word come out of your mouth; but what is good to useful edification, that it may benefit the hearers.
And grieve not the holy Spirit of God whereby ye are sealed to the day of redemption.
31 A limelimek sued, o lingarangar, o makar, o men pei, o lalaue en doo wei sang komail, o pil song en sued karos.
Let all bitterness, and wrath, and fury, and clamor, and calumny, be put away from you, with all malice: and be kind one to another,
32 A komail en kadek pena, o poka pena, o mak pena amen amen, dueta Kot kotin maki ong komail ren Kristus.
tender-hearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgiveth you.
