< Matayu 7 >
Judge not, that you be not judged;
2 Mlungu hakawatozi mwenga ntambu yamuwatoza wamonga, na shipimu shiraa shilii shamuwapimira wamonga, Mlungu hakakupimirani mwenga.
for as you judge, you shall be judged; and the measure which you give, the same you shall receive.
3 Iwera hashi gushiwona shibandu mlisu mwa mlongu gwaku na palaa panu guwona ndiri shipingiri shashiwera mlisu lyaku?
And why do you observe the mote in your brother's eye, but you are insensible of the splinter in your own eye?
4 Ama guweza hashi kumgambira mlongu gwaku, ‘Mlongu, guleki nukuwusiyi shibandu mlisu mwaku,’ na gumweni gwenga gwanashi shipingiri mlisu mwaku?
Or how dare you say to your brother, let me take the mote out of your eye; when lo! you have a splinter in your own?
5 Gwamfyangu gwenga! Guwusii wuti shipingiri shashiwera mlisu mwaku, shakapanu haguwezi kushiwona weri na kushiwusiya shibandu shashiweriti mulisu lya mlongu gwaku.
Hypocrite, first take the splinter out of your own eye; then you will see clearly to take the mote out of your brother's eye.
6 “Namwapanani wang'ang'a vintu vinanagala, hawizi kuwagalambukira na kuwakwalambula. Namwawasangira wamtumbi lulu zyenu hawizi kuzitimbanga.
Give not things holy to dogs, and cast not your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under foot, and turn upon you, and tear you apart.
7 “Mluwi na mwenga hampati, msakuli na mwenga hamwoni na mtendi hodi, namwenga hamvugulirwi.
Ask, and you shall obtain; seek, and you shall find; knock, and it shall be opened to you.
For whosoever asks, obtains; whosoever seeks, finds; and to every one who knocks, the door shall be opened.
9 Hashi, kwana muntu yoseri mwana pakamluwa tati gwakuwi libumunda, hakampanani libuwi?
Who of you men would give his son a stone, when he asks bread;
10 Ama pakamluwa somba, hakampanani njoka?
or a serpent, when he asks a fish?
11 Handa mwenga yamuwera wadoda, muvimana kuwapanana vintu viherepa wana wenu. Nakaka Tati gwenu gwa kumpindi hakatendi nentu, hakawapanani viheri kwa walii yawamluwa!
If you then, though evil, can give good things to your children, how much more will your Father, who is in heaven, give good things to them that ask him?
12 “Muwatenderi wantu ntambu yamfira kutenderwa, aga ndo mafundu ga Malagaliru ga Musa na mafundu ga wambuyi wa Mlungu.
Whatever you would that others do to you, do you the same to them; for this is the law and the prophets.
13 “Mwingiri kwa kupitira mlyangu mbabanika, toziya mlyangu gwagulonguziya muwuharabisiya ndo mupana na njira yailonguziya kulaa aku ndo yalaisi na kwana wantu wavuwa yawaigendera njira ayi.
Enter in through the strait gate; for wide is the gate of perdition, broad is its way leading thither; and many are they who enter by it.
But how strait is the gate of life; how narrow the way leading thither; and how few are they who find it!
Beware of false teachers, who come to you in the garb of sheep, while inwardly they are ravenous wolves.
16 Hamuwamani womberi ntambu yawatenda. Mbigiri hapeni ileri mapera na miyembi hapeni ileri zyabibu.
By their fruits you shall discover them. Are grapes gathered from thorns; or figs from thistles?
Every good tree yields good fruit, and every evil tree evil fruit.
18 Mtera guherepa hapeni guleri mabwajubwaju gadoda, wala mtera gudoda hapeni guleri mabwajubwaju maherepa.
A good tree can not yield evil fruit, nor an evil tree good fruit.
19 Na mtera gwoseri yagulera ndiri mabwajubwaju maherepa hawagudumuli na kugupambira pamotu.
Every tree which yields not good fruit, is cut down, and turned into fuel.
20 Su hamuwamani wambuyi wa mpayu, ntambu yawatenda.”
Wherefore, by their fruits you shall discover them.
21 “Kila muntu ndiri yakanshema ‘Mtuwa, Mtuwa,’ hakingiri Muufalumi wa kumbindi, kumbiti woseri hera yawatenda ntambu yakafira Tati gwangu gwa kumpindi.
Not every one who says to me, Master, Master, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he who does the will of my Father, who is in heaven.
22 Lishaka lya kutozwa palisoka, wantu wavuwa hawang'ambiri, ‘Mtuwa, Mtuwa!
Many will say to me on that day, Master, Master, have we not taught in thy name, and in thy name performed many miracles?
23 Shakapanu hanuwagambiri womberi, ‘Nuwamana ndiri mwenga. Muwuki kwaneni, mwenga ndo wantu wamtenda vidoda!’
To whom I will declare, I never acknowledged you. Depart from me, you who practice iniquity.
Therefore, whosoever hears these my precepts, and does them, I will compare to a prudent man, who built his house upon the rock.
25 Viraa itowa, nshemba zimema ng'enang'ena na liyega livuma kwa makakala liikoma numba ilii. Kumbiti iguwa ndiri toziya inyawitwi pampindi pa litalawu.
For although the rain descended, and the rivers overflowed, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house, it fell not, because it was founded upon the rock.
26 “Kumbiti muntu yoseri yakapikanira visoweru vyangu avi pota na kuvijimira kalifana na muntu yakanyawa numba yakuwi pamuhanga.
But whosoever hears these my precepts, and does them not, shall be compared to a simpleton, who built his house upon the sand.
For when the rain descended, and the rivers overflowed, and the winds blew, and dashed against that house, it fell, and great was its ruin.
28 Yesu pakamaliriti kutakula vitwatira avi, lipinga likulu lya wantu walikangashiti ntambu yakafunditi.
When Jesus had ended this discourse, the people were struck with awe at his manner of teaching;
29 Kaweriti ndiri gambira Mfunda gwa Malagaliru, kumbiti kafunditi kwa uwezu.
for he taught as one who had authority, and not as the Scribes.
