1 Neni Yakobu, ntumintumi gwa Mlungu na gwa Mtuwa Yesu Kristu, nuwalembera mwenga makabila lilongu na mawili ga Israeli yagaweriti kila pahala pasipanu! Nuwalamsiya.
James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes who are in the dispersion: Greetings!
2 Walongu wangu, muliholi kuwera na nemeleru nakamu pampatwa na majeru ga ntambu yingiyingi,
Count [it] all joy, my brothers, when you may fall into manifold temptations,
3 muvimana handa kujerwa kwa njimiru yenu hayiwapanani uhepelera.
knowing that the proof of your faith works endurance,
4 Muweri na unakaka kuwera uhepelera wenu hawumalili lihengu mngati mwenu, mpati kuwera teratera na wagangamala pota kupungukiwa shoseri.
and let the endurance have a perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.
5 Kumbiti handa yumu gwenu kahera luhala, su kafiruwa kumluwa Mlungu, nayomberi hakamupanani, toziya Mlungu kawapanani woseri kwa uvuwa na kwa mawoku mawili.
And if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask from God, who is giving to all generously, and not reproaching, and it will be given to him;
6 Kumbiti kafiluwa kuluwa kwa njimiru pota na shashatika. Muntu yakawera na shashatika ndo kawera gambira makupala ga mubahali, geni gasukumwa na kwaswakwaswa na lipuga.
but let him ask in faith, doubting nothing, for he who is doubting has been like a wave of the sea, driven by wind and tossed;
7 Su muntu yakawera na maholu gingi, nakalihola kuwera kapata shoseri shilii kulawa kwa Mtuwa.
for do not let that man suppose that he will receive anything from the LORD—
8 Toziya muntu yakawera na maholu gingi, kagalambuka galambuka munjira zyakuwi.
a soul-split man [is] unstable in all his ways.
9 Mlongu yakawera muhushu, kafiruwa kunemelera kwa kukweniziwa kwakuwi,
And let the brother who is low rejoice in his exaltation,
10 nayomberi mlunda kafiruwa kunemelera kwa kusulusiwa kwakuwi, toziya mlunda hakawuki gambira uluwa wa kuntundu.
but the rich in his becoming low, because he will pass away as a flower of grass;
11 Mshenji gulawira na kwa livuki lyakuwi likalipa liyumiziya vimeru, na uluwa wakuwi utuluka na uherepa wakuwi woseri upera. Ntambu iraa ayi mlunda nayomberi akagamiziwi mumahengu gakuwi.
for the sun rose with the burning heat, and withered the grass, and the flower of it fell, and the beauty of its appearance perished, so also the rich in his way will fade away!
12 Mbaka muntu yakasigala mwaminika mumajeru, toziya pakahepelera, hakanki lijenjeri lyakuwi, ukomu ulii Mlungu wakawalagiliti walii yawamfira.
Blessed [is] the man who endures temptation, because, becoming approved, he will receive the garland of life, which the LORD promised to those loving Him.
13 Handa muntu pakajerwa nakalonga, “Njerwa na Mlungu!” Toziya Mlungu hapeni kajerwi na ukondola, ama hapeni kamujeri muntu yoseri.
Let no one who is being tempted say, “I am tempted from God,” for God is not tempted by evils, and Himself tempts no one,
14 Kumbiti muntu kazyangalirwa pakanikwa na kugomuziwa na matamata zyakuwi zidoda.
but each one is tempted, being led away and enticed by his own desires;
15 Shakapanu matamata payiwula ilera vidoda, na vidoda pavikamala vilera kuhowa.
afterward the desire having conceived, gives birth to sin, and sin having been perfected, brings forth death.
16 Walongu wangu yanuwafira, muntu nakawapayira!
Do not be led astray, my beloved brothers.
Every good giving, and every perfect gift, is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variation, or shadow of turning;
18 Kwa kufira kwakuwi mweni katupananiti ukomu kwa shisoweru shakuwi shanakaka, su tuweri gambira mabenu ga kwanja pakati pa viwumbi vyakuwi.
having willed [it], He begot us with a word of truth, for our being a certain first-fruit of His creatures.
19 Walongu wangu yanuwafira, mushiholi shisoweru ashi, kila muntu kapikaniri kamkamu, kumbiti nakalopokera kulonga ama kukalala.
So then, my beloved brothers, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger,
20 Muntu yakawera na maya kaweza ndiri kutenda galii yagamfiriziya Mlungu yagawera ga nakaka.
for the wrath of a man does not work the righteousness of God;
21 Hangu, muleki kutali vitwatira vyoseri vidoda na matendu madoda gavuwa gageneya, mumjimiri Mlungu na kwanka shisoweru shashiyalitwi mumyoyu mwenu, na shiweza kuwalopoziya.
for this reason, having put aside all filthiness and superabundance of evil, receive the implanted word in meekness, that is able to save your souls;
22 Namulipayira mwaweni kwa kupikinira hera shisoweru sha Mlungu, su mtendi ntambu yashilonga.
and become doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves,
23 Toziya muntu yakapikanira hera shisoweru pota kutenda ntambu yashilonga, kalifana na muntu yakalilola sheni shakuwi mweni mushiloleru.
because, if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, this one has been like to a man viewing his natural face in a mirror,
24 Kalilolaga, shakapanu kagenda zyakuwi, na katepu kalyaluwa ntambu yakawera.
for he viewed himself, and has gone away, and immediately he forgot what kind of [man] he was;
25 Kumbiti muntu yakalilola weri lilagaliru teratera lyaliwapanana wantu ulekeru, na yakendereya kulikolera, na kulipikanira ndiri hera na shakapanu kulilyaluwa, kumbiti kalitenda nakamu, muntu ayu hakatekelerwi mukila shintu shakatenda.
but he who looked into [the] perfect law—that of liberty, and continued there, not becoming a forgetful hearer, but a doer of work—this one will be blessed in his doing.
26 Handa muntu pakalishera kuwera yomberi ndo muntu gwa njira ya kumfata Mlungu, kumbiti kaweza ndiri kululewelera lulimi lwakuwi, su kalipayira mweni, na njira yakuwi ya kumfata Mlungu yahera mota.
If anyone thinks to be religious among you, not bridling his tongue, but deceiving his heart, the religion of this one [is] vain;
religion pure and undefiled with the God and Father is this: to look after orphans and widows in their tribulation—to keep himself unspotted from the world.
