1 Neni Peteru, ntumintumi gwa Yesu Kristu, nankuwalembera mwenga wantu yawasyagulitwi na Mlungu Tati, wantu yampalanganyikiti na kulikala gambira watugira isi aku Pontu na Galatiya na Kapadokiya na Asiya na Bituniya.
PETER, a legate of Jesus the Messiah, to the elect and sojourners, who are dispersed in Pontus and in Galatia, and in Cappadocia, and in Asia, and in Bithynia,
2 Mlungu Tati kawasyaguliti mwenga kulawirana na ntambu yakafira mweni, na mpungwa kwa Rohu, mpati kumjimira Yesu Kristu na kumishirwa kwa mwazi gwakuwi. Manemu na ponga gavuwa gaweri pamuhera na mwenga.
to them who have been chosen, by the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto the obedience and the sprinkling of the blood of Jesus the Messiah: May grace and peace abound towards you.
3 Tumkwisi Mlungu na Tati gwa Mtuwa gwetu Yesu Kristu! Kwa lusungu lwakuwi likulu katupanana twenga ukomu wa syayi kwa kumzyukisiya Yesu Kristu. Katupanana litumbiru lyanakaka,
Blessed be God, the Father of our Lord Jesus the Messiah, who in his great mercy hath begotten us anew, by the resurrection of our Lord Jesus the Messiah, to the hope of life,
4 su twankulolera uhala wa matekeleru ga Mlungu, matekeleru yagawola ndiri na yagahera uhakata na galii yaganyala ndiri. Mlungu kawatulira kumpindi matekeleru aga.
and to an inheritance incorruptible, undefiled, and unfading, which is prepared for you in heaven;
5 Na mwenga mlolerwa weri na makakala ga Mlungu kwa njira ya njimiru toziya ya ulopoziya yauwera kala kugubutulwa mumashaka ga upeleru.
while ye are kept, by the power of God and by faith, for the life that is prepared and will be revealed in the last times;
6 Munemeleri mushitwatira ashi, paiwera vinu kwa shipindi shididini hamfiruwi kuhinginiki toziya ya majeru ga ntambu yingiyingi yamtabika.
wherein ye will rejoice for ever, notwithstanding ye at the present time are pressed a little, by the various trials that pass over you;
7 Majeru aga lengu lyakuwi ndo kulanguziya nakaka njimiru yenu, yaiwera na mana nentu kuliku zahabu yeni tembera ata payiwora ijerisiwa kwa motu. Toziya ayi mwenga hampati uzyumi na ligoya na ukwisa, lishaka lilii Yesu Kristu pakagubutulwa.
so that the proof of your faith may appear more precious than refined gold that is tested by fire, unto glory and honor and praise, at the manifestation of Jesus the Messiah:
8 Mwenga mwankumfira yomberi tembera mumwoniti ndiri, na mumjimira tembera mumwona ndiri vinu. Su munemelera kwa ukwisa yawutakulika ndiri,
whom having not seen, ye love; and in the faith of whom ye rejoice, with joy that is glorious and ineffable,
9 toziya mwankuwanka ulopoziya wa rohu zyenu, wawuwera lengu lya njimiru yenu.
that ye may receive the recompense of your faith, the life of your souls;
10 Wambuyi wa Mlungu yawatungiti kuusu manemu geni hagaweri ga nakaka kwa mwenga, wasakuliti na kukosiya kosiya kuusu ulopoziya awu,
that life namely, about which the prophets inquired, when they were prophesying of the grace which was to be given to you.
11 womberi wafiriti kushimana shipindi na ntambu yashiwera, shipindi pakatakuliti Rohu gwa Kristu yakaweriti mngati mwawu, pakatunga kuusu ntabika hayimpati Kristu na ukwisa yawuwiza.
And they searched for the time which the Spirit of the Messiah dwelling in them did show and testify, when the sufferings of the Messiah were to occur, and his subsequent glory.
12 Mlungu kawagubuturiti wambuyi wakuwi kuwera ujumbi ulii yawaubweriti, walibweleriti ndiri weni kumbiti wawabweleriti mwenga Shisoweru Shiwagira kwa makakala ga Rohu Mnanagala yakatumitwi kulawa kumpindi kwa Mlungu, lihengu ali liwera ndiri na mota yawu weni kumbiti kwajili ya mwenga. Ata wantumintumi wa kumpindi mewafiri kuvimana vitwatira avi.
And it was revealed to them, in regard to all they were searching, that, not for themselves were they inquiring, but for us they were prophesying of those things, which are now manifested to you by means of the things we have announced to you, by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven; which things the angels also desire to look into.
13 Su muweri kala nakamu na kulikala masu. Mlituli litumbiru lyenu lyoseri mumanemu galii hampananwi shipindi Yesu Kristu pakagubutulwa.
Wherefore, gird up the loins of your minds. and be awake perfectly, and wait for the joy, which will come to you at the revelation of our Lord Jesus the Messiah,
14 Gambira wana wa Mlungu yawajimira, namujimira nakamu kufata kayi matamata zidoda zyamuweriti nazu pamuwumaniti ndiri unakaka wa Mlungu.
as obedient children: and be ye not conversant again with those former lusts, with which ye lusted when without knowledge.
15 Kumbiti yomberi yakawashemiti ndo mnanagala, su mwenga muweri wananagala muvyoseri vyamutenda.
But be ye holy in all your conduct, as he is holy who hath called you.
16 Toziya Malembu Mananagala galembwa, “Muweri wananagala toziya neni ndo mnanagala.”
Because it is written: Be ye holy, even as I am holy.
17 Pamumkanda Mlungu, mwenga mumshema Tati. Su muvimani kuwera yomberi kamtoza kila yumu kulawirana na matendu gakuwi pota kubagula, mwendereyi kumjimira Mlungu pamulikala gambira wahenga pasipanu.
And if so be ye call on the Father, with whom is no respect of persons, and who judgeth every one according to his deeds, pass the time of your sojournment with fear;
18 Toziya muvimana kuwera mwenga mlopoziwitwi mumgenderanu gwenu yagufaa ndiri yagumuwankiti kulawa kwa wazewi wenu. Kumbiti mlopoziwiti ndiri kwa vintu vyaviharabika, kwa mpiya ama zahabu,
since ye know, that neither with perishable silver, nor with gold, ye were redeemed from your vain doings, which ye had by tradition from your fathers;
19 kumbiti kwa mwazi gwa mana nentu gwa Kristu, yakaweriti gambira mwana kondolu yakahera shilema ama lidowa.
but with the precious blood of that Lamb in which is no spot nor blemish, namely, the Messiah:
20 Yomberi kasyagulitwi na Mlungu pamberi pa kunyawa pasipanu, kumbiti kagubutulitwi mumashaka aga ga upeleru toziya ya mwenga.
who was predestined to this, before the foundation of the world; and was manifested at the termination of the times, for your sakes;
21 Kwa njira yakuwi mwenga mwankumjimira Mlungu yakamzyukisiyiti na kumpanana ukwisa, su njimiru yenu na litumbiru lyenu viwera kwa Mlungu.
who, by means of him, have believed in God, who raised him from the dead and conferred glory on him; that your faith and hope might be in God,
22 Vinu mwenga mulipunga maweni kwa kuujimira unakaka, su mwenga muwafira nakaka wayenu pota na ufyangu, su mulifiri nakamu kwa moyu gwoseri.
while your minds became sanctified, by obedience to the truth; and ye be full of love, without respect of persons, so that ye love one another out of a pure and perfect heart;
23 Toziya mpananitwi ukomu wa syayi, ulii yawulawiti ndiri mumbeyu yayiharabika, kumbiti kulawa mumbeyu yayiharabika ndiri kwa njira ya ujumbi wa Mlungu yawuwera ukomu na wa mashaka goseri. (aiōn g165)
like persons born again, not of seed that perisheth, but of that which doth not perish, by the living word of God, who abideth for ever. (aiōn g165)
24 Malembu Mananagala ntambu yagalonga, “Kila muntu kalifana na mahamba, na ukwisa wakuwi woseri ulifana na uluwa wa mahamba. Mahamba ganyala, na uluwa utuluka.
Because all flesh is as grass, and all its beauty like the flower of the field. The grass drieth up, and the flower withereth away;
