زکریا 5

1 بار دیگر به آسمان چشم دوختم و طوماری را در حال پرواز دیدم.

Then again I lifted up my eyes and saw, and behold, a flying scroll.

2 فرشته از من پرسید: «چه می‌بینی؟» جواب دادم: «طوماری می‌بینم به طول ده متر و عرض پنج متر که در حال پرواز است.»

He said to me, “What do you see?” I answered, “I see a flying scroll; its length is twenty cubits, and its width ten cubits.”

3 گفت: «این طومار لعنتهای خدا را در بردارد و آنها را به سراسر جهان می‌برد. نوشتهٔ روی آن نشان می‌دهد که تمام دزدان و دروغگویان محکوم به مرگ هستند.»

Then he said to me, “This is the curse that goes out over the surface of the whole land, for everyone who steals shall be cut off according to it on the one side; and everyone who swears falsely shall be cut off according to it on the other side.

4 خداوند لشکرهای آسمان می‌فرماید که این لعنتها را به خانهٔ کسانی که دزدی می‌کنند و آنهایی که به نام او قسم دروغ می‌خورند، می‌فرستد تا بر خانه‌هایشان قرار بگیرد و آنها را به کلی نابود کند.

I will cause it to go out,” says the LORD of Hosts, “and it will enter into the house of the thief, and into the house of him who swears falsely by my name; and it will remain in the middle of his house, and will destroy it with its timber and its stones.”

5 فرشته بار دیگر ظاهر شد و گفت: «بالا را نگاه کن. چیز دیگری در حال پرواز است.»

Then the angel who talked with me came forward and said to me, “Lift up now your eyes and see what this is that is appearing.”

6 پرسیدم: «آن چیست؟» جواب داد: «یک بشکهٔ بزرگ است. این بشکه پر است از گناهانی که سراسر زمین را فرا گرفته‌اند.»

I said, “What is it?” He said, “This is the efah basket that is appearing.” He said moreover, “This is their appearance in all the land—

7 ناگهان سرپوش سنگین سربی بشکه کنار رفت و من توانستم زنی را که در بشکه نشسته بود ببینم!

and behold, a lead cover weighing one talent was lifted up—and there was a woman sitting in the middle of the efah basket.”

8 فرشته گفت: «آن زن نشانهٔ فساد و شرارت است.» آنگاه زن را به داخل بشکه هل داد و دوباره سرپوش سربی را روی آن گذاشت.

He said, “This is Wickedness;” and he threw her down into the middle of the efah basket; and he threw the lead weight on its mouth.

9 سپس دو زن دیگر دیدم که بالهایی شبیه بالهای لک‌لک داشتند و پرواز می‌کردند. آنها آمده، بشکه را برداشتند و پروازکنان با خود بردند.

Then I lifted up my eyes and saw, and behold, there were two women; and the wind was in their wings. Now they had wings like the wings of a stork, and they lifted up the efah basket between earth and the sky.

10 از فرشته پرسیدم: «بشکه را کجا می‌برند؟»

Then I said to the angel who talked with me, “Where are these carrying the efah basket?”

11 جواب داد: «آن را به بابِل می‌برند تا جایگاهی برای آن بسازند و بشکه را در آن قرار دهند.»

He said to me, “To build her a house in the land of Shinar. When it is prepared, she will be set there in her own place.”
