زکریا 10

1 در فصل بهار از خداوند بخواهید باران بباراند، زیرا اوست که ابرها را می‌فرستد و باران را به فراوانی می‌باراند تا مزارع، حاصلخیز شوند.

Petition before the Lord for rain in the latter time, and the Lord will produce snows and will give showers of rain to them, to each blade in the field.

2 بتها و فالگیران نمی‌توانند چنین درخواستی را اجابت کنند. رؤیاهایی که فالگیران می‌بینند و خوابهایی که تعبیر می‌کنند دروغ محض است و باعث گمراهی مردم می‌شود. تسلی‌ای که آنها می‌دهند بی‌فایده است. قوم من مثل گوسفندان گمشده، سرگردان و آواره شده‌اند زیرا شبانی ندارند که آنها را هدایت کند.

For the images have been speaking what is useless, and the diviners have seen a lie, and the dreamers have been speaking false hope: they have comforted in vain. For this reason, they have been led away like a flock; they will be afflicted, because they have no shepherd.

3 «خشم من بر شبانانتان مشتعل است، و من این رهبران را مجازات خواهم کرد؛ زیرا که خداوند لشکرهای آسمان آمده تا به گلۀ خود یعنی یهودا رسیدگی کند، و آنان را مانند اسبِ مغرور میدان جنگ نیرومند سازد.

My fury has been kindled over the shepherds, and I will visit upon the he-goats. For the Lord of hosts has visited his flock, the house of Judah, and he has set them like the horse of his glory in the war.

4 از یهودا سنگ زاویه، میخ خیمه، کمان جنگ و همۀ رهبران پدید خواهند آمد.

From him will go forth the angle, from him the wooden peg, from him the bow of battle, from him every exactor at the same time.

5 ایشان با دلیری دشمنان خود را مثل گل کوچه‌ها لگدمال خواهند کرد؛ خواهند جنگید و اسب‌سواران را بر زمین خواهند افکند، زیرا خداوند با ایشان است.

And they will be like the strong, trampling the mud of the ways in battle. And they will fight, for the Lord is with them. And the riders of the horses will be confounded.

6 «یهودا را تقویت خواهم کرد و خاندان یوسف را نجات خواهم بخشید. بر آنها رحمت نموده ایشان را به وطنشان باز خواهم گرداند. وضعیت آنها طوری خواهد بود که گویی هرگز ایشان را ترک نکرده‌ام. من خداوند، خدای ایشان هستم و دعای ایشان را اجابت خواهم کرد.

And I will strengthen the house of Judah, and I will save the house of Joseph, and I will convert them, because I will have mercy on them. And they will be as they were when I had not cast them away. For I am the Lord their God, and I will hear them.

7 مردم اسرائیل مثل جنگجویانی شجاع خواهند بود. دلشان چنان شاد خواهد شد که گویی مست شرابند. فرزندانشان این برکات را به یاد آورده خوشحال خواهند شد. دل ایشان از آنچه خداوند انجام داده است شاد خواهد گردید.

And they will be like the strong of Ephraim, and their heart will rejoice as if by wine, and their sons will see and will rejoice, and their heart will exult in the Lord.

8 ایشان را فرا خوانده، دور هم جمع خواهم کرد. من آنها را نجات خواهم داد و ایشان مثل گذشته زیاد خواهند شد.

I will whistle for them, and I will gather them together, because I have redeemed them. And I will multiply them, as they had been multiplied before.

9 هر چند ایشان را مثل بذر در میان قومها پراکنده ساخته‌ام، ولی آنها در آن سرزمینهای دور مرا به یاد خواهند آورد. آنها با فرزندانشان زنده مانده به وطن خود برخواهند گشت.

And I will sow them among the peoples, and from far away they will remember me. And they will live with their sons, and they will return.

10 آنها را از مصر و آشور باز می‌گردانم و به زمین جلعاد و لبنان می‌آورم و ایشان تمام آن سرزمین را پر خواهند ساخت.

And I will lead them back from the land of Egypt, and I will gather them from among the Assyrians, and I will lead them to the land of Gilead and Lebanon, and no place will be left that has not been found by them.

11 وقتی از میان دریای مشکلات عبور می‌کنند من امواج را کنار زده اعماق رود نیل را خشک خواهم کرد. آشور مغرور، پست خواهد شد و مصر قدرتمند، قدرت خود را از دست خواهد داد.»

And he will pass over the narrow passage of the sea, and he will strike the waves of the sea, and all the depths of the river will be confounded, and the arrogance of Assyria will be brought low, and the scepter of Egypt will withdraw.

12 خداوند می‌فرماید: «قدرت خود را به قوم خود می‌بخشم و آنها را قوی می‌سازم و ایشان از من پیروی خواهند کرد.»

I will strengthen them in the Lord, and they will walk in his name, says the Lord.
