مکاشفه 9
| هنگامی که فرشتهٔ پنجم شیپورش را به صدا درآورد، دیدم که «ستاره‌ای» از آسمان بر زمین افتاد. به این ستاره، کلید چاهی را دادند که انتها نداشت. (Abyssos g12) | 1 |
The fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star from the sky which had fallen to the earth. The key to the pit of the abyss was given to him. (Abyssos g12)
| وقتی با آن کلید، چاه را باز کرد، دودی مانند دود کوره‌ای بزرگ برخاست، به طوری که آفتاب و هوا از دود چاه تیره و تار شد. (Abyssos g12) | 2 |
He opened the shaft of the bottomless pit, and smoke went up out of the shaft, like the smoke from a great furnace. The sun and the air were darkened because of the smoke from the pit. (Abyssos g12)
| سپس از میان دود، ملخهایی بیرون آمده، روی زمین را پوشاندند؛ و به آنها قوت داده شد تا مانند عقربها نیش بزنند. | 3 |
Then out of the smoke came forth locusts on the earth, and power was given to them, as the scorpions of the earth have power.
| اما به آنها گفته شد که با علف و گیاه و درختان کاری نداشته باشند، بلکه فقط به کسانی آسیب برسانند که مهر خدا را بر پیشانی خود ندارند. | 4 |
They were told that they should not hurt the grass of the earth, neither any green thing, neither any tree, but only those people who do not have God's seal on their foreheads.
| به آنها اجازه داده شد که مردم را برای مدت پنج ماه آزار و شکنجه دهند تا ایشان مانند کسی که عقرب گزیده باشد، درد بکشند؛ اما به ملخها اجازهٔ کشتن مردم داده نشد. | 5 |
They were given power not to kill them, but to torment them for five months. Their torment was like the torment of a scorpion, when it strikes a person.
| در آن زمان، مردم آرزوی مرگ خواهند کرد، اما مرگ از ایشان خواهد گریخت. | 6 |
In those days people will seek death, and will in no way find it. They will desire to die, and death will flee from them.
| ملخها شبیه اسبانی بودند که برای جنگ آراسته شده‌اند. بر روی سرشان چیزی شبیه تاجهای زرّین قرار داشت و صورتشان همچون صورت انسان بود. | 7 |
The shapes of the locusts were like horses prepared for war. On their heads were something like golden crowns, and their faces were like people's faces.
| آنها مویی بلند مانند موی زنان، و دندانهایی مانند دندانهای شیران داشتند. | 8 |
They had hair like women's hair, and their teeth were like those of lions.
| زره‌هایی که پوشیده بودند، مانند زره آهنین جنگ بود. صدای بالهایشان نیز مثل صدای هجوم لشکری بود که با ارابه‌های جنگی به میدان رزم حمله می‌برد. | 9 |
They had breastplates, like breastplates of iron. The sound of their wings was like the sound of chariots, or of many horses rushing to war.
| آنها دمهای نیشداری مانند دم عقرب داشتند که با آنها می‌توانستند مردم را تا پنج ماه آزار دهند. | 10 |
They have tails like those of scorpions, and stings. In their tails is their power to harm people for five months.
| پادشاه آنها، همان فرشتهٔ چاه بی‌انتهاست، که به زبان عبری او را «اَبَدون» و به یونانی «اپولیون» می‌نامند، و معنی آن، «نابود کننده» می‌باشد. (Abyssos g12) | 11 |
They have over them as king the angel of the abyss. His name in Hebrew is "Abaddon," and in Greek, he has the name "Apollyon." (Abyssos g12)
| یک وای یعنی یک بلا گذشت. اما هنوز دو بلای دیگر در راه است. | 12 |
The first woe is past. Look, there are still two woes coming after this.
| وقتی فرشتهٔ ششم شیپور را نواخت، از چهار گوشهٔ مذبح زرّین که در حضور خدا قرار داشت، صدایی شنیدم، | 13 |
The sixth angel sounded. I heard a voice from the four horns of the golden altar which is before God,
| که به فرشتهٔ ششم که شیپور داشت، گفت: «آن چهار فرشته را که در رود بزرگ فرات بسته شده‌اند، آزاد ساز.» | 14 |
saying to the sixth angel who had one trumpet, "Free the four angels who are bound at the great river Euphrates."
| آنگاه آن چهار فرشته که برای چنین ساعت و روز و ماه و سالی آماده شده بودند، آزاد شدند تا یک سوم مردم را بکشند. | 15 |
The four angels were freed who had been prepared for this hour and day and month and year, so that they might kill one third of humanity.
| شنیدم که آنها دویست میلیون جنگجوی سواره در اختیار داشتند. | 16 |
The number of the armies of the horsemen was two hundred million. I heard the number of them.
| اسبان و سواران ایشان را در رؤیا دیدم. سواران آنان، زره جنگی به تن داشتند که بعضی به رنگ سرخ آتشین، بعضی آبی آسمانی و بقیه به رنگ زرد بود. سر اسبان ایشان، بیشتر به سر شیران شباهت داشت و از دهانشان دود و آتش و گوگرد بیرون می‌آمد که یک سوم مردم را از بین برد. | 17 |
Thus I saw the horses in the vision, and those who sat on them, having breastplates of fiery red, hyacinth blue, and sulfur yellow; and the heads of lions. Out of their mouths proceed fire, smoke, and sulfur.

By these three plagues were one third of humanity killed: from the fire, the smoke, and the sulfur, which proceeded out of their mouths.
| قدرت مرگبار آنها، نه تنها در دهانشان بلکه در دمشان نیز بود، زیرا دمشان شبیه سر مارهایی بود که نیش می‌زنند و زخمهایی کشنده ایجاد می‌کنند. | 19 |
For the power of the horses is in their mouths, and in their tails. For their tails are like serpents, and have heads, and with them they harm.
| کسانی که از این بلایا جان به در بردند، باز حاضر نشدند از کارهای شریرانۀ خود توبه کرده، خدا را بپرستند. ایشان حاضر نبودند از پرستش شیطان و بتهای طلا و نقره و مس و سنگ و چوب دست بکشند، بتهایی که نه می‌بینند، نه می‌شنوند و نه حرکت می‌کنند. | 20 |
The rest of humanity, who were not killed with these plagues, did not repent of the works of their hands, that they would not worship demons, and the idols of gold, and of silver, and of bronze, and of stone, and of wood; which can neither see, nor hear, nor walk.
| اینان نمی‌خواستند از آدمکشی، جادوگری، زنا و دزدی دست بکشند و به سوی خدا بازگردند. | 21 |
They did not repent of their murders, nor of their sorceries, nor of their sexual immorality, nor of their thefts.
