مزامیر 98

1 مزمور. سرودی تازه در وصف خداوند بسرایید؛ زیرا کارهای شگفت‌انگیز کرده و دست توانا و بازوی مقدّسش او را پیروز ساخته است.

“A psalm.” Oh sing unto the Lord a new song; for he hath done wonderful things: his right hand and his holy arm have gotten him the victory.

2 خداوند پیروزی خود را اعلام نموده و عدالت نجاتبخش خویش را بر قومها آشکار ساخته است.

The Lord hath made known his salvation: before the eyes of the nations hath he revealed his righteousness.

3 او به قوم اسرائیل وعده داد که بر ایشان محبت فرماید، و به وعده‌اش وفا نمود. همهٔ مردم دنیا پیروزی رهایی‌بخش خدای ما را دیده‌اند.

He hath remembered his kindness and his truth toward the house of Israel: all the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.

4 ای ساکنان زمین، با شادی خداوند را بستایید؛ با صدای بلند سرود بخوانید و او را بپرستید.

Shout joyfully unto the Lord, all the lands: break forth, and rejoice, and sing praises.

5 خداوند را با چنگ بسرایید، با چنگ و سرودها.

Sing praises unto the Lord with the harp, —with the harp, and the voice of psalmody.

6 با کَرِناها و آوای سُرنا، به حضور خداوند پادشاه بانگ شادی برآورید!

With trumpets and the sound of cornet shout joyfully before the King, the Lord.

7 دریا و هر آنچه که در آن است، به جوش و خروش آید. زمین و ساکنانش سرود بخوانند.

Let the sea roar, with all that filleth it; the world, with those that dwell therein.

8 نهرها دست بزنند و کوهها در حضور خداوند شادی کنند؛ زیرا خداوند برای داوری جهان می‌آید. او قومهای جهان را با عدل و انصاف داوری خواهد کرد.

Let the rivers clap their hands; let the mountains be joyful together,

Before the Lord; for he cometh to judge the earth: he will judge the world with righteousness, and people with equity.
