مزامیر 91
| آنکه به خدای متعال پناه می‌برد، زیر سایهٔ قادر مطلق در امان خواهد بود. | 1 |
Those who live under the protection of God Almighty, will be able to rest [safely] under his care.
| او به خداوند می‌گوید: «تو پناهگاه و خدای من هستی. من بر تو توکل دارم.» | 2 |
I will declare to Yahweh, “You protect me; [you are like] a fort [MET] in which I am safe. You are my God, the one in whom I trust.”
| خداوند، تو را از هر دام خطرناک و بیماری کشنده خواهد رهانید. | 3 |
Yahweh will rescue you from all hidden traps and save you from deadly diseases.
| او تو را در زیر بالهای خود خواهد گرفت و از تو مراقبت خواهد کرد. وعده‌های امین او برای تو چون سلاح و سپر می‌باشد. | 4 |
He will shield/protect you [like a bird shields/protects its chicks] [MET] with/under her wings. You will be safe (in his care/because he takes care of you). His faithfully doing what he has promised is like a shield [MET] that will protect you.
| از بلاهای شب نخواهی ترسید و از حملات ناگهانی در روز بیم نخواهی داشت. | 5 |
You will not be afraid of things that happen during the night that could (terrorize you/cause you to be very afraid), or of arrows that [your enemies will shoot at you] during the day.
| وبایی که در تاریکی می‌خزد تو را نخواهد ترساند و طاعونی که در روشنایی کشتار می‌کند تو را نخواهد هراساند. | 6 |
You will not be afraid of (plagues/widespread sicknesses) that demons cause when they attack people at night, or of other [evil forces] that kill people at midday.
| اگر هزار نفر در کنار تو بیفتند و ده هزار نفر در اطراف تو جان بسپارند، به تو آسیبی نخواهد رسید. | 7 |
Even if 1,000 people fall [dead] alongside you, even if 10,000 [people are dying] around you, you will not be harmed.
| تنها با چشمان خود، خواهی نگریست و مجازات گناهکاران را خواهی دید. | 8 |
Look and see that (wicked people are being punished/God is punishing wicked people)!
| هیچ بدی دامنگیر تو نخواهد شد و بلایی بر خانهٔ تو سایه نخواهد افکند، زیرا تو به خداوند پناه برده‌ای و زیر سایهٔ خدای قادر متعال به سر می‌بری. | 9 |
If you allow Yahweh to protect you, if you trust God Almighty to (shelter/take care of) you,
| 10 |
nothing evil will happen to you; no plague will come near your house,
| زیرا به فرشتگان خود فرمان خواهد داد تا به هر راهی که بروی، تو را حفظ کنند. | 11 |
because Yahweh will command his angels to protect you wherever you go.
| آنها تو را بر دستهای خود بلند خواهند کرد تا حتی پایت هم به سنگی نخورَد. | 12 |
They will hold you up with their hands, with the result that you will not hurt your foot on a big stone.
| شیر درنده و مار سمی را زیر پا له خواهی کرد و آسیبی به تو نخواهد رسید! | 13 |
You will be [kept safe from being harmed by your enemies] [MET]; [it will be as though] you are stepping on lions and poisonous snakes [without them harming you!]
| خداوند می‌فرماید: «آنانی را که مرا دوست دارند، نجات خواهم داد و کسانی را که مرا می‌شناسند، حفظ خواهم کرد. | 14 |
[Yahweh says], “I will rescue those who love me, I will protect them because they (acknowledge that I am Yahweh/know me).
| وقتی دعا کنند، دعایشان را مستجاب خواهم ساخت و چون در زحمت بیفتند، به کمک ایشان خواهم شتافت؛ آنها را خواهم رهانید و سرافراز خواهم ساخت. | 15 |
When they call out to me, I will answer them. I will help them when they are experiencing trouble; I will rescue them and honor them.
| به آنها عمر دراز خواهم بخشید و نجاتشان خواهم داد.» | 16 |
I will reward them by enabling them to live a long time, and I will save them.”
