| مزمور آساف. ای خدا، قومهای خدانشناس، سرزمین قوم برگزیدهٔ تو را تسخیر نمودند؛ خانهٔ مقدّس تو را بی‌حرمت کردند و شهر اورشلیم را خراب نمودند. | 1 |
A Psalm of Asaph. O God, the heathen have come into thy inheritance; thy holy temple have they defiled; they have laid Jerusalem on heaps.
| جنازه‌های بندگانت را خوراک پرندگان و جانوران ساختند. | 2 |
The dead bodies of thy servants have they given [to be] food to the fowls of the heaven, the flesh of thy saints, to the beasts of the earth.
| خون آنها را مانند آب در اطراف اورشلیم جاری کردند؛ کسی باقی نماند تا آنها را دفن کند. | 3 |
Their blood have they shed like water around Jerusalem; and [there was] none to bury [them].
| ای خدا، نزد قومهای اطراف رسوا و مایهٔ ریشخند شده‌ایم. | 4 |
We have become a reproach to our neighbors, a scorn and derision to them that are around us.
| خداوندا، تا به کی بر ما خشمگین خواهی بود؟ آیا آتش خشم تو تا به ابد بر سر ما زبانه خواهد کشید؟ | 5 |
How long, LORD? wilt thou be angry for ever? shall thy jealousy burn like fire?
| خدایا، خشم خود را بر سرزمینها و قومهایی که تو را نمی‌شناسند و عبادت نمی‌کنند، بریز. | 6 |
Pour out thy wrath upon the heathen that have not known thee, and upon the kingdoms that have not called upon thy name.
| همین قومها بودند که دست به کشتار قوم تو زدند و خانه‌هایشان را خراب نمودند. | 7 |
For they have devoured Jacob, and laid waste his dwelling-place.
| ای خدا، ما را به سبب گناهانی که اجدادمان مرتکب شده‌اند مجازات نکن. بر ما رحم فرما، زیرا بسیار دردمندیم. | 8 |
O remember not against us former iniquities: let thy tender mercies speedily succor us: for we are brought very low.
| ای خدایی که نجا‌ت‌دهندۀ ما هستی، به خاطر حرمت نام خودت ما را یاری فرما؛ ما را نجات ده و گناهان ما را بیامرز. | 9 |
Help us, O God of our salvation, for the glory of thy name: and deliver us, and purge away our sins, for thy name's sake.
| چرا قومهای خدانشناس بگویند: «خدای ایشان کجاست؟» ای خدا، بگذار با چشمان خود ببینیم که تو انتقام خون بندگانت را از دشمنان می‌گیری. | 10 |
Why should the heathen say, Where [is] their God? let him be known among the heathen in our sight [by] avenging the blood of thy servants [which is] shed.
| خداوندا، نالهٔ اسیران را بشنو و با دست توانای خود آنانی را که محکوم به مرگ هستند، برهان. | 11 |
Let the sighing of the prisoner come before thee; according to the greatness of thy power preserve thou those that are appointed to die;
| از قومهای مجاور ما، به سبب بی‌حرمتی‌ای که نسبت به تو روا داشته‌اند، هفت برابر شدیدتر انتقام بگیر. | 12 |
And render to our neighbors seven-fold into their bosom their reproach, with which they have reproached thee, O LORD.
| آنگاه ما که قوم برگزیده و گوسفندان گلهٔ تو هستیم، تو را تا به ابد شکر خواهیم گفت و تمام نسلهای آیندهٔ ما تو را ستایش خواهند کرد. | 13 |
So we thy people and sheep of thy pasture will give thee thanks for ever: we will show forth thy praise to all generations.
