مزامیر 77

1 برای رهبر سرایندگان: برای یِدوتون. مزمور آساف. با صدایی بلند به سوی خدا فریاد برمی‌آورم! به سوی خدا فریاد برمی‌آورم تا صدای مرا بشنود.

To the chief Musician. On Jeduthun. Of Asaph. A Psalm. My voice is unto God, and I will cry; my voice is unto God, and he will give ear unto me.

2 به هنگام گرفتاری از خدا کمک می‌طلبم. تمام شب به سوی او دست نیاز دراز می‌کنم. تا دعایم را مستجاب نکند آرام نخواهم گرفت.

In the day of my trouble, I sought the Lord: my hand was stretched out in the night, and slacked not; my soul refused to be comforted.

3 خدا را به یاد می‌آورم و از حسرت می‌نالم. به فکر فرو می‌روم و پریشان می‌شوم.

I remembered God, and I moaned; I complained, and my spirit was overwhelmed. (Selah)

4 او نمی‌گذارد خواب بچشمانم بیاید. از شدت ناراحتی نمی‌توانم حرف بزنم.

Thou holdest open mine eyelids; I am full of disquiet and cannot speak.

5 به روزهای گذشته فکر می‌کنم، به سالهایی که پشت سر نهاده‌ام می‌اندیشم.

I consider the days of old, the years of ancient times.

6 تمام شب را در تفکر می‌گذرانم و از خود می‌پرسم:

I remember my song in the night; I muse in mine own heart, and my spirit maketh diligent search.

7 «آیا خداوند مرا برای همیشه ترک کرده است؟ آیا او دیگر هرگز از من راضی نخواهد شد؟

Will the Lord cast off for ever? and will he be favourable no more?

8 آیا دیگر هرگز به من محبت نخواهد کرد؟ آیا دیگر هرگز به قول خود وفا نخواهد کرد؟

Hath his loving-kindness ceased for ever? hath [his] word come to an end from generation to generation?

9 آیا خدا مهربانی و دلسوزی را فراموش کرده است؟ آیا غضب او باعث شده در رحمت او بسته شود؟»

Hath God forgotten to be gracious? or hath he in anger shut up his tender mercies? (Selah)

10 سپس به خود می‌گویم: «این از ضعف من است که چنین فکر می‌کنم. پس سالهایی را که دست خداوند قادر متعال در کار بوده است به یاد خواهم آورد.»

Then said I, This is my weakness: — the years of the right hand of the Most High

11 بله، معجزات و کارهای بزرگی را که خداوند انجام داده است به یاد خواهم آورد

Will I remember, — the works of Jah; for I will remember thy wonders of old,

12 و در کارهای شگفت‌انگیز او تفکر خواهم کرد.

And I will meditate upon all thy work, and muse upon thy doings.

13 ای خدا، تمام راههای تو پاک و بی‌عیب است! خدایی به بزرگی و عظمت تو وجود ندارد.

O God, thy way is in the sanctuary: who is so great a god as God?

14 تو خدایی هستی که معجزه می‌کنی و قدرت خود را بر قومها نمایان می‌سازی.

Thou art the God that doest wonders; thou hast declared thy strength among the peoples.

15 با دست توانای خود بنی‌اسرائیل را رهانیدی.

Thou hast with [thine] arm redeemed thy people, the sons of Jacob and Joseph. (Selah)

16 آبها وقتی تو را دیدند به عقب رفتند و اعماق دریا به لرزه درآمد.

The waters saw thee, O God, the waters saw thee; they trembled, yea, the depths were troubled:

17 از ابرها باران بارید. در آسمان رعد و برق پدید آمد و تیرهای آتشین به هر سو جهید.

The thick clouds poured out water; the skies sent out a sound, yea, thine arrows went abroad:

18 در میان گردباد صدای رعد شنیده شد و برق آسمان دنیا را روشن کرد. زمین تکان خورد و لرزید.

The voice of thy thunder was in the whirlwind, lightnings lit up the world; the earth was troubled and it quaked.

19 از میان دریا جایی که هرگز به فکر کسی نمی‌رسید راهی پدید آوردی

Thy way is in the sea, and thy paths are in the great waters; and thy footsteps are not known.

20 و مانند یک شبان، بنی‌اسرائیل را به رهبری موسی و هارون از آن عبور دادی.

Thou leddest thy people like a flock by the hand of Moses and Aaron.
