مزامیر 68

1 برای رهبر سرایندگان. مزمور داوود. سرود. ای خدا، برخیز و دشمنانت را پراکنده ساز. بگذار آنانی که از تو نفرت دارند از حضور تو بگریزند.

To the Chief Musician. David’s. A Melody, a Song. Let God arise, let his enemies be scattered, Yea let them that hate him flee before him:

2 چنانکه دود در برابر باد پراکنده می‌شود، همچنان تو ایشان را پراکنده ساز؛ همان‌گونه که موم در مقابل آتش گداخته می‌شود، همچنان بگذار گناهکاران در حضورت نابود شوند.

As smoke is driven about, Let them be driven about, —As wax is melted before a fire, Let the lawless perish before God.

3 اما نیکوکاران شادی کنند و در حضور تو خوشحال باشند؛ از شادی فریاد برآورند و خوش باشند.

But let, the righteous, be glad, let them exult before God, Yea let them rejoice with gladness.

4 در وصف خدا سرود بخوانید. نام او را ستایش کنید. برای او که بر ابرها سوار است، راهی درست کنید. نام او یهوه است! در حضورش شادی کنید!

Sing ye to God, Make music of his Name, —Lift up (a song), to him that rideth through the waste plains, —Since Yah is his name, exult ye before him.

5 خدایی که در خانهٔ مقدّس خود ساکن است، پدر یتیمان و دادرس بیوه‌زنان می‌باشد.

The father of the fatherless, And the advocate of widows, Is God, in his holy habitation.

6 او بی‌کسان و آوارگان را در خانه‌ها ساکن می‌گرداند و اسیران را آزاد می‌سازد. اما یاغیان در زمین خشک و بی‌آب ساکن خواهند شد.

God, is he that causeth the solitary to dwell in a home, That bringeth out prisoners into prosperity, But, the rebellious, have made their habitation in a sunburnt land.

7 ای خدای اسرائیل، وقتی تو قوم برگزیدهٔ خود را هدایت کردی و از میان بیابان عبور نمودی،

O God! When thou camest forth before thy people, When thou didst stride through the wilderness, (Selah)

8 زمین تکان خورد و آسمان بارید و کوه سینا از ترس حضور تو به لرزه افتاد.

Earth, trembled, Yea, the heavens, dripped at the presence of God, —This Sinai—at the presence of God, the God of Israel.

9 ای خدا، تو نعمتها بارانیدی و قوم برگزیدهٔ خود را که خسته و ناتوان بودند، نیرو و توان بخشیدی.

A bounteous rain, dost thou shed abroad, O God, upon thine inheritance, When exhausted, thou thyself, hast supported it:

10 جماعت تو در زمین موعود ساکن شدند و تو ای خدای مهربان، حاجت نیازمندان را برآوردی.

Thy living host, have remained therein, Thou dost provide, in thy bounty, for the humbled ones—O God!

11 خداوند کلام را اعلام کرد و کسانی که آن را بشارت دادند عدهٔ بی‌شماری بودند؛ کلام او این است:

Let, My Lord, but give the word, The herald bands, will be a mighty host:

12 «پادشاهان و سپاهیانشان بشتاب می‌گریزند! زنانی که در خانه هستند غنایم جنگی را بین خود قسمت می‌کنند.

Kings of armies, they flee! they flee! And, she that stayeth at home, shall share the spoil.

13 آنها اگرچه روزی فقیر و بینوا بودند، اما اینک خوشبخت و ثروتمندند و خود را مانند کبوتری که بالهایش نقره‌ای و پرهایش طلایی است با زر و زیور آراسته‌اند.»

Though ye rest between the folds, The wings of the dove, shall be covered with silver, And, her pinions, with green-shimmering gold.

14 خدای قادر مطلق پادشاهانی را که دشمن اسرائیل بودند مانند دانه‌های برف که در جنگلهای کوه صلمون آب می‌شود، پراکنده و محو ساخت.

When the Almighty scattereth kings therein, It will gleam like snow in the gloom:

15 ای کوههای عظیم باشان، ای سلسله جبال بزرگ که قله‌های بلند دارید،

A mighty mountain, is the mountain of Bashan, A mountain of peaks, is the mountain of Bashan!—

16 چرا با حسرت به این کوهی که خدا برای مسکن خود برگزیده است نگاه می‌کنید؟ به یقین خداوند تا به ابد در آن ساکن خواهد بود.

Wherefore start ye up, ye mountains, ye peaks? The mountain God hath coveted for his habitation, Surely, Yahweh will inhabit it ever!

17 خداوند در میان هزاران هزار ارابه از کوه سینا به خانهٔ مقدّس خویش که در کوه صهیون است، رفته است.

The chariots of God, are two myriads—thousands repeated, My Lord, is among them Sinai, is in the sanctuary!

18 آن هنگام که به برترین مکان بالا رفتی، بسیاری را به اسارت بردی و هدایا از آدمیان گرفتی، حتی از کسانی که زمانی یاغی بوده‌اند. اکنون خداوند در میان ما ساکن خواهد شد.

Thou hast ascended on high, Thou hast led in procession a body of captives, Thou hast received gifts consisting of men, Yea even the rebellious, That, Yah, Elohim, might settle down to rest.

19 شکر و سپاس بر خداوندی که هر روز بارهای ما را متحمل می‌شود و خدایی که نجات ماست.

Blessed be My Lord! Day by day, he beareth our burden for us, GOD himself, is our salvation. (Selah)

20 خدای ما نجا‌ت‌دهندۀ ماست و ما را از مرگ می‌رهاند.

The GOD we have, is a GOD of saving deeds, And, due to Yahweh, My Lord, are escapes from death.

21 خدا سر دشمنانش را که در گناه زندگی می‌کنند، خرد خواهد کرد.

Yea, God himself, will smite through the head of his foes, —The hairy crown of him that is marching on in his guilty deeds.

22 خداوند می‌فرماید: «دشمنان شما را از باشان و از اعماق دریا باز خواهم آورد

Said My Lord, From Bashan, will I bring back, —I will bring back from the depths of the sea:

23 تا در میان خون ریخته شدهٔ آنان راه بروید و سگها خون ایشان را بخورند.»

That thou mayest bathe thy foot in blood, —The tongue of thy dogs, from the foes, hath its portion.

24 ای خدایی که پادشاه و خداوند من هستی، همهٔ قومها حرکت پیروزمندانهٔ تو را به سوی خانهٔ مقدّست دیده‌اند.

They have seen thy progress O God, The progress of my GOD, my king into the sanctuary:

25 سرایندگان در پیش و نوازندگان در عقب و دوشیزگان در وسط آنان دف‌زنان حرکت می‌کنند.

In front are the singers, Behind are the harpers, In the midst of damsels playing on timbrels:

26 همهٔ مردم اسرائیل خدا را حمد گویند. ای فرزندان یعقوب، خداوند را ستایش کنید.

In the congregations, bless ye God, My Lord, from among the called of Israel:

27 قبیلهٔ کوچک بنیامین پیشاپیش ستایش‌کنندگان خدا در حرکت است؛ بعد از او رهبران قبیلهٔ یهودا با دسته‌های خود، سپس بزرگان قبیلهٔ زبولون و نفتالی حرکت می‌کنند.

There, is Benjamin, the Diminutive—ruling them, The princes of Judah—their throng, The princes of Zebulun, The princes of Naphtali.

28 ای خدا، نیروی خود را برای ما به کار ببر، همان‌گونه که در گذشته این کار را کردی.

Thy God hath commanded thy strength, —The strength, O God, which thou hast wrought for us.

29 به احترام خانهٔ تو در اورشلیم، پادشاهان هدایا نزد تو خواهند آورد.

Because of thy temple above Jerusalem, Unto thee, shall kings bear along a gift—

30 مصر، آن حیوان وحشی را که در میان نیزارها ساکن است، توبیخ نما. قومهای جهان را که همچون رمه‌های گاو و گوساله هستند، سرزنش کن تا به فرمان تو گردن نهند و نقره‌های خود را به تو تقدیم کنند. اقوامی را که جنگ را دوست می‌دارند، پراکنده ساز.

Rebuke thou, The wild beast of the reeds, The herd of mighty oxen among the calves of the peoples—Each one bowing down with bars of silver, —Scatter thou the peoples, who in wars take delight.

31 مصر هدایا به دست سفیران خود خواهد فرستاد و حبشه دست دعا به سوی خداوند دراز خواهد کرد.

Ambassadors come out of Egypt, The Ethiopian, eagerly stretcheth out his hands, unto God.

32 ای ممالک جهان، برای خدا سرود بخوانید؛ خداوند را با سرودها بستایید.

Ye kingdoms of the earth, sing unto God, Praise in song Adonay. (Selah)

33 خدای ازلی و ابدی را که در آسمانها نشسته است و با صدای بلند و نیرومند سخن می‌گوید، ستایش کنید.

Unto him that rideth upon the most ancient heavens, Lo! he uttereth his voice, a voice of strength.

34 قدرت خدا را توصیف نمایید خدایی که شکوه و جلالش بر اسرائیل است و قوتش در آسمانها پابرجاست.

Ascribe ye strength unto God, —Over Israel, is his majesty, And his strength, in the skies. To be revered is God, for his sanctuary, —

35 چه مَهیب است خداوند در مکان مقدّس خویش! خدای اسرائیل به قوم برگزیدهٔ خود قوت و عظمت می‌بخشد. خدا را شکر و سپاس باد!

As for the GOD of Israel, he, is giving strength and abundant might to the people. Blessed be God!
