For the chief musician; set to Al Tashheth. A psalm of David. A michtam. Do you rulers speak righteousness? Do you judge uprightly, you people?
| شما در فکر خود نقشه‌های پلید می‌کشید و در سرزمین خود مرتکب ظلم و جنایت می‌شوید. | 2 |
No, you commit wickedness in your heart; you distribute violence throughout the land with your hands.
| شریران در تمام زندگی خود منحرف هستند؛ از روز تولد لب به دروغ می‌گشایند. | 3 |
The wicked go astray even when they are in the womb; they go astray from birth, speaking lies.
| آنها زهری کشنده چون زهر مار دارند و مانند افعی کر، گوش خود را می‌بندند | 4 |
Their poison is like a snake's poison; they are like a deaf adder that stops up its ears,
| تا آواز افسونگران را نشنوند، هر چند افسونگران با مهارت افسون کنند. | 5 |
that pays no attention to the voice of charmers, no matter how skillful they are.
| خدایا، دندانهای آنها را بشکن! خداوندا، فک این مردم درنده‌خو را خرد کن! | 6 |
Break their teeth in their mouths, God; break out the great teeth of the young lions, Yahweh.
| بگذار آنها همچون آبی که به زمین تشنه ریخته می‌شود، نیست و نابود گردند و وقتی تیر می‌اندازند، تیرشان به هدر رود. | 7 |
Let them melt away as water that runs off; when they shoot their arrows, let them be as though they had no points.
| بگذار همچون حلزون به گل فرو روند و محو شوند و مانند بچه‌ای که مرده به دنیا آمده، نور آفتاب را نبینند. | 8 |
Let them be like a snail that melts and passes away, like the untimely-born child of a woman that never sees the sunlight.
| باشد که آتش خشم تو، ای خداوند بر آنها افروخته شود و پیش از اینکه به خود بیایند، پیر و جوان مانند خار و خاشاک بسوزند. | 9 |
Before your pots can feel the thorn's burning heat, he will take them away with a whirlwind, the green thorns and the burning thorns alike.
| عادلان وقتی مجازات شریران را ببینند، شادخاطر خواهند شد؛ آنها از میان جویبار خون اجساد شریران عبور خواهند کرد. | 10 |

| آنگاه مردم خواهند گفت: «براستی عادلان پاداش می‌گیرند؛ به‌یقین خدایی هست که در جهان داوری می‌کند.» | 11 |
so that men will say, “Truly, there is a reward for the righteous person; truly there is a God who judges the earth.”
