مزامیر 51

1 برای رهبر سرایندگان. مزمور داوود، دربارۀ زمانی که ناتان نبی پس از همبستر شدن داوود با بَتشِبَع، نزد او رفت. خدایا، بخاطر محبتت بر من رحم فرما. بخاطر رحمت بیکرانت گناهانم را محو کن.

Have gracious pity on me, God, according to your chesed ·loving-kindness·. According to the multitude of your tender rachamim ·merciful loves·, blot out my rebellious breaches of relationships.

2 مرا از عصیانم کاملاً شستشو ده و مرا از گناهم پاک ساز.

Wash me thoroughly from my depravity (moral evil). Cleanse me from my habitual sin ·missing the mark·.

3 به عمل زشتی که مرتکب شده‌ام اعتراف می‌کنم؛ گناهم همیشه در نظر من است.

For I know my rebellious breaches of relationships. My habitual sin ·missing the mark· is constantly before me.

4 به تو ای خداوند، بله، تنها به تو گناه کرده‌ام و آنچه را که در نظر تو بد است، انجام داده‌ام. حکم تو علیه من عادلانه است و در این داوری، تو مصون از خطا هستی.

Against you, and you only, have I sinned ·deviated (from the standard goal)·, and done that which is evil in your sight; that you may be proved right when you speak, and justified when you judge.

5 من از بدو تولد گناهکار بوده‌ام، بله، از لحظه‌ای که نطفهٔ من در رحم مادرم بسته شد آلوده به گناه بوده‌ام.

Behold, I was born in depravity (moral evil). In crime deserving penalty, sin ·missing the goal· my mother conceived me.

6 تو از ما قلبی صادق و راست می‌خواهی؛ پس فکر مرا از حکمتت پُر ساز.

Behold, you desire truth in the inward parts. You teach me wisdom in the inmost place.

7 گناه مرا از من دور کن تا پاک شوم؛ مرا شستشو ده تا سفیدتر از برف شوم.

Cleanse sin ·err (the standard goal)· from me with hyssop, and I will be clean. Wash me, and I will be whiter than snow.

8 ای که مرا در هم کوبیده‌ای، شادی مرا به من بازگردان تا جان من بار دیگر مسرور شود.

Let me sh'ma ·hear obey· joy and gladness, That the bones which you have broken may rejoice.

9 از گناهانم چشم بپوش و همهٔ خطاهایم را محو کن.

Hide your face from my crimes deserving penalty, sins ·missing the goal·, and blot out all of my depravities (moral evils).

10 خدایا، دلی پاک در درون من بیافرین و از نو، روحی راست به من عطا کن.

Create in me a clean heart, O God. Renew a right spirit within me.

11 مرا از حضور خود بیرون نکن و روح پاک خود را از من نگیر.

Don’t throw me from your presence, and don’t take your Ruach Kodesh [Holy Spirit, Breath] from me.

12 شادی نجات از گناه را به من بازگردان و کمکم کن تا با میل و رغبت تو را اطاعت کنم.

Restore to me the joy of your yesha' ·salvation·. Uphold me with a willing spirit.

13 آنگاه احکام تو را به گناهکاران خواهم آموخت و آنان به سوی تو بازگشت خواهند نمود.

Then I will teach the rebellious who break away from authority thus breaking relationship, teach them your ways. People who sin ·intentionally miss the mark goal· shall be converted to you.

14 ای خدایی که نجا‌ت‌دهندۀ من هستی، وجدان مرا از این گناه خونریزی پاک کن تا بتوانم در وصف عدالت تو سرود بخوانم.

Deliver me from the guilt of bloodshed, O God, the God of my salvation. My tongue shall sing aloud of your righteousness.

15 خداوندا، کمکم کن تا بتوانم دهانم را بگشایم و تو را ستایش کنم.

Adonai, open my lips. My mouth shall declare your tehilah ·praise song·.

16 تو از من قربانی حیوانی نخواستی، و گرنه آن را تقدیم می‌کردم.

For you don’t delight in sacrifice, or else I would give it. You have no pleasure in burnt offering.

17 قربانی من این قلب شکسته و این روح توبه‌کار من است که به تو تقدیم می‌کنم؛ خدایا، می‌دانم که این هدیهٔ مرا خوار نخواهی شمرد.

The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit. A broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise.

18 خدایا، به لطف خود صهیون را کامیاب ساز و دیوارهای اورشلیم را دوباره بنا کن.

Do well in your good pleasure to Zion [Mountain ridge, Marking]. Build the walls of Jerusalem [City of peace].

19 آنگاه بر مذبح تو گاوها ذبح خواهند شد و تو از انواع قربانیهایی که بر مذبح تو تقدیم می‌شوند خشنود خواهی گردید.

Then you will delight in the sacrifices of righteousness, in burnt offerings and in whole burnt offerings. Then they will offer bulls on your altar.
