مزامیر 50

1 مزمور آساف. یهوه، خدای خدایان، سخن می‌گوید؛ او همهٔ مردم را از مشرق تا مغرب نزد خود فرا می‌خواند.

The salm of Asaph. God, the Lord of goddis, spak; and clepide the erthe,

2 نور جلال خدا از کوه صهیون، که مظهر زیبایی و بزرگی اوست، می‌تابد.

fro the risynge of the sunne til to the goyng doun. The schap of his fairnesse fro Syon,

3 خدای ما خواهد آمد و سکوت نخواهد کرد. شعله‌های آتش در پیشاپیش او و گردباد در اطراف اوست.

God schal come opynli; oure God, and he schal not be stille. Fier schal brenne an hiye in his siyt; and a strong tempest in his cumpas.

4 او آسمان و زمین را به گواهی می‌طلبد تا بر قوم خود داوری کند.

He clepide heuene aboue; and the erthe, to deme his puple.

5 خداوند می‌فرماید: «قوم خاص مرا که با قربانیهای خود با من عهد بسته‌اند که نسبت به من وفادار بمانند، نزد من جمع کنید.»

Gadere ye to hym hise seyntis; that ordeynen his testament aboue sacrifices.

6 آسمانها گواهند که خدا، خود داور است و با عدالت داوری می‌کند.

`And heuenes schulen schewe his riytfulnesse; for God is the iuge.

7 «ای قوم من، ای اسرائیل، به سخنان من گوش دهید، زیرا من خدای شما هستم! من خود بر ضد شما شهادت می‌دهم.

Mi puple, here thou, and Y schal speke to Israel; and Y schal witnesse to thee, Y am God, thi God.

8 دربارهٔ قربانی‌هایتان شما را سرزنش نمی‌کنم، زیرا قربانی‌های سوختنی خود را پیوسته به من تقدیم می‌کنید.

I schal not repreue thee in thi sacrifices; and thi brent sacrifices ben euere bifor me.

9 من محتاج گوساله‌ای از طویلۀ تو نیستم و نه بزی از آغُلت،

I schal not take calues of thin hows; nethir geet buckis of thi flockis.

10 زیرا همهٔ حیواناتی که در جنگل و کوه هستند از آن منند.

For alle the wyelde beestis of wodis ben myne; werk beestis, and oxis in hillis.

11 همهٔ پرندگانی که بر کوهها پرواز می‌کنند و تمام حیواناتی که در صحراها می‌چرند، به من تعلق دارند.

I haue knowe alle the volatils of heuene; and the fairnesse of the feeld is with me.

12 اگر گرسنه هم می‌بودم از تو خوراک نمی‌خواستم، زیرا که جهان و هر چه که در آن است از آن من است.

If Y schal be hungry, Y schal not seie to thee; for the world and the fulnesse therof is myn.

13 مگر من گوشت گاوها را می‌خورم و یا خون بزها را می‌نوشم؟

Whether Y schal eete the fleischis of boolis? ethir schal Y drynke the blood of geet buckis?

14 «قربانی واقعی که باید تقدیم کنید این است که خدای متعال را شکر نمایید و نذرهایی را که کرده‌اید ادا کنید.

Offre thou to God the sacrifice of heriyng; and yelde thin avowis to the hiyeste God.

15 هنگامی که در مشکلات هستید مرا بخوانید؛ من شما را نجات خواهم داد و شما مرا ستایش خواهید کرد.»

And inwardli clepe thou me in the dai of tribulacioun; and Y schal delyuere thee, and thou schalt onoure me.

16 اما خدا به شریران چنین می‌گوید: «شما چه حق دارید که فرایض مرا بر زبان بیاورید و دربارهٔ عهد من سخن بگویید؟

But God seide to the synnere, Whi tellist thou out my riytfulnessis; and takist my testament bi thi mouth?

17 زیرا شما از اصلاح شدن نفرت دارید و کلام مرا پشت گوش می‌اندازید.

Sotheli thou hatidist lore; and hast cast awey my wordis bihynde.

18 وقتی دزد را می‌بینید که دزدی می‌کند با وی همدست می‌شوید و با زناکاران معاشرت می‌کنید.

If thou siyest a theef, thou `hast runne with hym; and thou settidist thi part with avowtreris.

19 سخنان شما با خباثت و نیرنگ آمیخته است.

Thi mouth was plenteuouse of malice; and thi tunge medlide togidere giles.

20 هر جا می‌نشینید از برادرتان بد می‌گویید و غیبت می‌کنید.

Thou sittynge spakist ayens thi brother, and thou settidist sclaundir ayens the sone of thi modir;

21 این کارها را کردید و من چیزی نگفتم. فکر کردید من هم مانند شما هستم! اما اینک من شما را برای تمام این کارها تنبیه می‌کنم.

thou didist these thingis, and Y was stille. Thou gessidist wickidli, that Y schal be lijk thee; Y schal repreue thee, and Y schal sette ayens thi face.

22 «ای کسانی که مرا فراموش کرده‌اید، به من گوش دهید و گرنه شما را هلاک خواهم کرد و فریادرسی نخواهید داشت.

Ye that foryeten God, vndurstonde these thingis; lest sum tyme he rauysche, and noon be that schal delyuere.

23 قربانی شایستهٔ من آنست که از من سپاسگزار باشید و مرا ستایش کنید. هر که چنین کند راه نجات را به او نشان خواهم داد.»

The sacrifice of heriyng schal onoure me; and there is the weie, where ynne Y schal schewe to hym the helthe of God.
