| برای رهبر سرایندگان. مزمور داوود. خوشا به حال کسانی که به فکر فقیران و درماندگان هستند، زیرا هنگامی که خود در زحمت بیفتند خداوند به یاری ایشان خواهد شتافت. | 1 |
For the Leader. A Psalm of David. Happy is he that considereth the poor; the LORD will deliver him in the day of evil.
| او ایشان را حفظ کرده، زنده نگاه خواهد داشت. آنان در دنیا سعادتمند خواهند بود و خدا نخواهد گذاشت که به دست دشمنانشان بیفتند. | 2 |
The LORD preserve him, and keep him alive, let him be called happy in the land; and deliver not Thou him unto the greed of his enemies.
| به هنگام بیماری، خداوند ایشان را شفا می‌بخشد و سلامتی از دست رفته را به آنان باز می‌گرداند. | 3 |
The LORD support him upon the bed of illness; mayest Thou turn all his lying down in his sickness.
| گفتم: «خداوندا، به تو گناه کرده‌ام؛ بر من رحم کن و مرا شفا ده!» | 4 |
As for me, I said: 'O LORD, be gracious unto me; heal my soul; for I have sinned against Thee.'
| دشمنانم با کینه و نفرت دربارهٔ من می‌گویند: «کی می‌میرد و نامش گم می‌شود؟» | 5 |
Mine enemies speak evil of me: 'When shall he die, and his name perish?'
| هنگامی که به عیادتم می‌آیند، وانمود می‌کنند که دوستدارانم هستند، و حال آنکه از من نفرت دارند و قصدشان سخن‌چینی و شایعه‌سازی است. | 6 |
And if one come to see me, he speaketh falsehood; his heart gathereth iniquity to itself; when he goeth abroad, he speaketh of it.
| همهٔ دشمنانم پشت سرم حرف می‌زنند و درباره‌ام بد می‌اندیشند. | 7 |
All that hate me whisper together against me, against me do they devise my hurt:
| آنها می‌گویند: «به مرض کشنده‌ای مبتلا شده؛ از بستر بیماری بلند نخواهد شد.» | 8 |
'An evil thing cleaveth fast unto him; and now that he lieth, he shall rise up no more.'
| حتی بهترین دوستم نیز که به او اعتماد داشتم و نان و نمک مرا می‌خورد، دشمن من شده است. | 9 |
Yea, mine own familiar friend, in whom I trusted, who did eat of my bread, hath lifted up his heel against me.
| ای خداوند، بر من رحم کن و مرا بر پا بدار تا جواب آنان را بدهم. | 10 |
But Thou, O LORD, be gracious unto me, and raise me up, that I may requite them.
| یقین دارم که از من راضی هستی و نخواهی گذاشت دشمنانم بر من پیروز شوند. | 11 |
By this I know that Thou delightest in me, that mine enemy doth not triumph over me.
| مرا به سبب درستکاریم حفظ خواهی کرد و تا ابد در حضورت نگاه خواهی داشت. | 12 |
And as for me, Thou upholdest me because of mine integrity, and settest me before Thy face for ever.
| سپاس بر خداوند، خدای اسرائیل، از حال تا ابد. آمین! آمین! | 13 |
Blessed be the LORD, the God of Israel, from everlasting and to everlasting. Amen, and Amen.
