| مزمور داوود. ای خداوند، نزد تو فریاد برمی‌آورم؛ ای تکیه‌گاه من، دعایم را بشنو! اگر دعای مرا نشنوی به سرنوشت کسانی دچار خواهم شد که الان در قبرها خفته‌اند. | 1 |
Yahweh, I call out to you; [you are like an overhanging] rock [under which I can hide]. Do not refuse to answer me, because if you are silent, I will soon be with those who are in their graves.
| وقتی دستهای خود را به سوی قُدس تو بلند می‌کنم و با گریه و زاری از تو کمک می‌طلبم، مرا اجابت فرما. | 2 |
Listen to me when I call out for you [to help me], when I pray, lifting up my hands as I face your sacred temple.
| مرا جزو بدکاران و شروران محسوب نکن. آنها در ظاهر با همسایگان خود سخنان دوستانه می‌گویند، اما در دل خود قصد اذیت و آزارشان را دارند. | 3 |
Do not drag me away with wicked people, with those who do wicked deeds, with those who pretend [to act] peacefully toward others while in their inner beings, they hate them.
| آنها را برای آنچه که کرده‌اند مجازات کن! برای کارهای زشتی که مرتکب شده‌اند، مزدشان را کف دستشان بگذار! | 4 |
Punish those people in the way that they deserve for what they have done; punish them for their evil deeds [DOU].
| آنها را چنان بر زمین بکوب که دیگر نتوانند بلند شوند، زیرا به آفرینش و کارهای دست تو اهمیت نمی‌دهند. | 5 |
Yahweh, they do not pay attention to the [wonderful] things that you have done and that you have created; so get rid of them permanently and do not let them appear again!
| خداوند را سپاس باد! او فریاد التماس مرا شنیده است. | 6 |
Praise Yahweh because he has heard me when I called out for him to help me!
| خداوند قوت و سپر من است. از صمیم قلب بر او توکل کردم و او نیز مرا یاری نمود. از این رو، دلم شاد است و با سرود از او تشکر می‌نمایم. | 7 |
Yahweh makes me strong and [protects] me [like a shield] [MET]; I trusted in him, and he helped me. I was glad, and from my inner being I praised him as I sang to him.
| خداوند قوم خود را حفظ می‌کند و از پادشاه برگزیدهٔ خویش حمایت می‌نماید و او را نجات می‌بخشد. | 8 |
Yahweh causes us to be strong and protects us; and he saves me, the one he appointed [MTY] to be king.
| ای خداوند، قوم برگزیدهٔ خود را نجات ده و عزیزان خود را برکت عنایت فرما. تو شبان ایشان باش و تا ابد از ایشان نگهداری کن! | 9 |
Yahweh, save/rescue your people; bless those who belong to you. [Take care of them like] a shepherd [takes care of his sheep] [MET]; take care of them forever.
