1 مزمور داوود. ای خداوند، به داد من برس، زیرا در کمال صداقت رفتار می‌کنم و توکل راسخ به تو دارم.

`To Dauid. Lord, deme thou me, for Y entride in myn innocens; and Y hopynge in the Lord schal not be made vnstidfast.

2 خداوندا، مرا بیازما. فکر و دل مرا تفتیش کن و پاک ساز؛

Lord, preue thou me, and asaie me; brenne thou my reynes, and myn herte.

3 زیرا محبت تو را در نظر دارم و وفاداری تو را شعار زندگی خود کرده‌ام.

For whi thi merci is bifor myn iyen; and Y pleside in thi treuthe.

4 با مردان نادرست همنشین نمی‌شوم و با اشخاص ریاکار رفت و آمد نمی‌کنم.

I sat not with the counsel of vanyte; and Y schal not entre with men doynge wickid thingis.

5 از بدکاران نفرت دارم و با شریران معاشرت نمی‌کنم.

I hatide the chirche of yuele men; and Y schal not sitte with wickid men.

6 دستهای خود را خواهم شست تا نشان دهم که بی‌گناهم، سپس مذبح تو را طواف خواهم کرد.

I schal waische myn hondis among innocentis; and, Lord, Y schal cumpasse thin auter.

7 آنگاه با سراییدن سرود شکرگزاری کارهای شگفت‌انگیز تو را به همه خبر خواهم داد.

That Y here the vois of heriyng; and that Y telle out alle thi merueils.

8 خداوندا، خانهٔ تو را که حضور پرجلالت در آنجاست، دوست می‌دارم.

Lord, Y haue loued the fairnesse of thin hows; and the place of the dwellyng of thi glorie.

9 پس با من مانند بدکاران و قاتلان رفتار نکن که رشوه می‌دهند و خون مردم را می‌ریزند.

God, leese thou not my soule with vnfeithful men; and my lijf with men of bloodis.

In whose hondis wyckidnessis ben; the riythond of hem is fillid with yiftis.

11 اما من راستی را پیشه کرده‌ام؛ بر من رحم کن و مرا نجات ده.

But Y entride in myn innocens; ayenbie thou me, and haue merci on me.

12 خداوند را در حضور مردم سپاس خواهم گفت، زیرا مرا از خطر رهانیده است.

Mi foot stood in riytfulnesse; Lord, Y schal blesse thee in chirchis.
