مزامیر 21

1 برای رهبر سرایندگان. مزمور داوود. ای خداوند، پادشاه از قوتی که به او داده‌ای شادی می‌کند و از پیروزی‌ای که به او بخشیده‌ای شادمان است.

To him that excelleth. A Psalme of Dauid. The King shall reioyce in thy strength, O Lord: yea how greatly shall he reioyce in thy saluation!

2 تو آرزوی دل او را برآوردی و هر چه از تو خواسته از او دریغ نداشتی.

Thou hast giuen him his hearts desire, and hast not denyed him the request of his lips. (Selah)

3 تو با برکات نیکو، به استقبالش رفتی و تاجی از طلای ناب بر سرش نهادی.

For thou diddest preuent him with liberall blessings, and didest set a crowne of pure gold vpon his head.

4 از تو حیات خواست، به او دادی و بقا و طول عمر به او بخشیدی.

He asked life of thee, and thou gauest him a long life for euer and euer.

5 شکوه و عظمت او به خاطر پیروزی‌ای است که تو به او بخشیده‌ای. تو به او عزت و احترام داده‌ای.

His glory is great in thy saluation: dignitie and honour hast thou laid vpon him.

6 او را تا ابد با برکاتت پر ساخته‌ای و با حضورت او را شاد گردانیده‌ای.

For thou hast set him as blessings for euer: thou hast made him glad with the ioy of thy countenance.

7 پادشاه بر خداوند توکل دارد. محبت خدای متعال او را از لغزیدن حفظ خواهد کرد.

Because the King trusteth in the Lord, and in the mercie of the most High, he shall not slide.

8 پادشاه بر همهٔ دشمنانش غلبه خواهد یافت.

Thine hand shall finde out all thine enemies, and thy right hand shall finde out them that hate thee.

9 او وقتی بیاید مانند آتش مشتعل مخالفانش را نابود خواهد کرد. آتش خشم خداوند، دشمنان پادشاه را خواهد بلعید؛

Thou shalt make them like a fierie ouen in time of thine anger: the Lord shall destroy them in his wrath, and the fire shall deuoure them.

10 و نسل آنها را از روی زمین نابود خواهد ساخت.

Their fruite shalt thou destroy from the earth, and their seede from the children of men.

11 آنها بر ضد پادشاه قیام کردند و نقشه‌های پلید کشیدند، اما موفق نشدند.

For they intended euill against thee, and imagined mischiefe, but they shall not preuaile.

12 او با تیر و کمان آنها را هدف قرار خواهد داد و ایشان برگشته، پا به فرار خواهند گذاشت.

Therefore shalt thou put them aparte, and the strings of thy bowe shalt thou make readie against their faces.

13 ای خداوند، به خاطر قدرتت تو را ستایش می‌کنیم و عظمت تو را می‌سراییم.

Be thou exalted, O Lord, in thy strength: so will we sing and prayse thy power.
