مزامیر 18

1 برای رهبر سرایندگان. مزمور داوود، خدمتگزار خداوند. داوود این سرود را هنگامی سرایید که خداوند او را از چنگ تمام دشمنان و از چنگ شائول رهانید. داوود چنین سرود: ای خداوند، ای قوت من، تو را دوست دارم!

To him that excelleth. A Psalme of Dauid the seruant of the Lord, which spake unto the Lord the wordes of this song (in the day that the Lord delivered him for the hande of all this enemies, and form the and of saul) and sayd, I will loue thee dearely, O Lord my strength.

2 خداوند قلعهٔ من است. او صخرهٔ من است و مرا نجات می‌بخشد. خدایم صخرهٔ محکمی است که به آن پناه می‌برم. او همچون سپر از من محافظت می‌کند، به من پناه می‌دهد و با قدرتش مرا می‌رهاند. نجا‌ت‌دهندۀ من، مرا از ظلم می‌رهاند.

The Lord is my rocke, and my fortresse, and he that deliuereth me, my God and my strength: in him will I trust, my shield, the horne also of my saluation, and my refuge.

3 او را به کمک خواهم طلبید و از چنگ دشمنان رهایی خواهم یافت. ای خداوند تو شایستهٔ پرستش هستی!

I will call vpon the Lord, which is worthie to be praysed: so shall I be safe from mine enemies.

4 مرگ، مرا در چنگال خود گرفتار کرده بود و موجهای ویرانگرش مرا در بر گرفته بود.

The sorowes of death compassed me, and the floods of wickednes made me afraide.

5 مرگ برای من دام نهاده بود تا مرا به کام خود بکشد. (Sheol h7585)

The sorowes of the graue haue compassed me about: the snares of death ouertooke me. (Sheol h7585)

6 اما من در این پریشانی به سوی خداوند فریاد برآوردم و از خدایم کمک خواستم. فریاد من به گوش او رسید و او از خانهٔ مقدّسش نالهٔ مرا شنید.

But in my trouble did I call vpon the Lord, and cryed vnto my God: he heard my voyce out of his Temple, and my crye did come before him, euen into his eares.

7 آنگاه زمین تکان خورد و لرزید و بنیاد آسمان مرتعش شد و به لرزه درآمد، زیرا خداوند به خشم آمده بود.

Then the earth trembled, and quaked: the foundations also of the mountaines mooued and shooke, because he was angrie.

8 دود از بینی او برآمد و شعله‌های سوزانندهٔ آتش از دهانش زبانه کشید.

Smoke went out at his nostrels, and a consuming fire out of his mouth: coales were kindled thereat.

9 او آسمان را شکافت و فرود آمد، زیر پایش ابرهای سیاه قرار داشت.

He bowed the heauens also and came downe, and darkenes was vnder his feete.

10 سوار بر فرشته‌ای پرواز کرد و بر بالهای باد اوج گرفت.

And he rode vpon Cherub and did flie, and he came flying vpon the wings of the winde.

11 او خود را با تاریکی پوشاند و ابرهای غلیظ و پر آب او را احاطه کردند.

He made darkenes his secrete place, and his pauilion round about him, euen darkenesse of waters, and cloudes of the ayre.

12 درخشندگی حضور او، شعله‌های آتش پدید آورد.

At the brightnes of his presence his clouds passed, haylestones and coles of fire.

13 آنگاه خداوند، خدای متعال، با صدای رعدآسا از آسمان سخن گفت.

The Lord also thundred in the heauen, and the Highest gaue his voyce, haylestones and coales of fire.

14 او با تیرهای آتشین خود، دشمنانم را پراکنده و پریشان ساخت.

Then hee sent out his arrowes and scattred them, and he increased lightnings and destroyed them.

15 آنگاه به فرمان تو و با دم نفس تو، ای خداوند، آب دریا به عقب رفت و خشکی پدید آمد.

And the chanels of waters were seene, and the foundations of the worlde were discouered at thy rebuking, O Lord, at the blasting of the breath of thy nostrels.

16 خداوند از آسمان دست خود را دراز کرد و مرا از اعماق آبهای بسیار بیرون کشید.

He hath sent downe from aboue and taken mee: hee hath drawen mee out of many waters.

17 مرا از چنگ دشمنان نیرومندی که از من تواناتر بودند، رهانید.

He hath deliuered mee from my strong enemie, and from them which hate me: for they were too strong for me.

18 وقتی در سختی و پریشانی بودم، دشمنان بر من هجوم آوردند، اما خداوند مرا حفظ کرد.

They preuented me in the day of my calamitie: but the Lord was my stay.

19 او مرا به جای امنی برد، او مرا نجات داد، زیرا مرا دوست می‌داشت.

Hee brought mee foorth also into a large place: hee deliuered mee because hee fauoured me.

20 خداوند پاداش درستکاری و پاکی مرا داده است،

The Lord rewarded me according to my righteousnes: according to the purenes of mine hands he recompensed me:

21 زیرا از دستورهای خداوند اطاعت نموده‌ام و به خدای خود گناه نورزیده‌ام.

Because I kept the wayes of the Lord, and did not wickedly against my God.

22 همهٔ احکامش را به‌جا آورده‌ام و از فرمان او سرپیچی نکرده‌ام.

For all his Lawes were before mee, and I did not cast away his commandements from mee.

23 در نظر خداوند بی‌عیب بوده‌ام، خود را از گناه دور نگاه داشته‌ام.

I was vpright also with him, and haue kept me from my wickednes.

24 خداوند به من پاداش داده است، زیرا در نظر او پاک و عادل بوده‌ام.

Therefore the Lord rewarded me according to my righteousnesse, and according to the purenes of mine hands in his sight.

25 خدایا، تو نسبت به کسانی که به تو وفادارند، امین هستی و کسانی را که کاملند محبت می‌کنی.

With the godly thou wilt shewe thy selfe godly: with the vpright man thou wilt shew thy selfe vpright.

26 اشخاص پاک را برکت می‌دهی و افراد فاسد را مجازات می‌کنی.

With the pure thou wilt shewe thy selfe pure, and with the froward thou wilt shewe thy selfe froward.

27 تو افتادگان را نجات می‌دهی، اما متکبران را سرنگون می‌کنی.

Thus thou wilt saue the poore people, and wilt cast downe the proude lookes.

28 ای خداوند، تو نور من هستی، تو تاریکی مرا به روشنایی تبدیل می‌کنی.

Surely thou wilt light my candle: the Lord my God wil lighten my darkenes.

29 با کمک تو به صفوف دشمن حمله خواهم برد و قلعه‌های آنها را در هم خواهم کوبید.

For by thee I haue broken through an hoste, and by my God I haue leaped ouer a wall.

30 راه خداوند کامل و بی‌نقص است و وعده‌های او پاک و قابل اعتماد! خداوند از کسانی که به او پناه می‌برند مانند سپر محافظت می‌کند.

The way of God is vncorrupt: the worde of the Lord is tried in the fire: he is a shield to all that trust in him.

31 کیست خدا غیر از یهوه؟ و کیست صخرهٔ نجات غیر از خدای ما؟

For who is God besides the Lord? and who is mightie saue our God?

32 خدا به من قوت می‌بخشد و در راههایی که می‌روم مرا حفظ می‌کند.

God girdeth me with strength, and maketh my way vpright.

33 پاهایم را چون پاهای آهو می‌گرداند تا بتوانم بر بلندیها بایستم.

He maketh my feete like hindes feete, and setteth me vpon mine high places.

34 او دستهای مرا برای جنگ تقویت می‌کند و بازوی مرا قوت می‌بخشد تا بتوانم کمان مفرغین را خم کنم.

He teacheth mine hands to fight: so that a bowe of brasse is broken with mine armes.

35 خداوندا، تو با سپرت مرا نجات داده‌ای و با دست راستت حمایتم نموده‌ای و از لطف توست که به این عظمت رسیده‌ام.

Thou hast also giuen me the shield of thy saluation, and thy right hand hath stayed me, and thy louing kindenes hath caused me to increase.

36 زمین زیر پایم را وسیع ساخته‌ای تا نلغزم.

Thou hast enlarged my steps vnder mee, and mine heeles haue not slid.

37 دشمنانم را تعقیب کرده، به آنها می‌رسم، و تا آنها را از بین نبرم، باز نمی‌گردم.

I haue pursued mine enemies, and taken them, and haue not turned againe till I had consumed them.

38 آنها را چنان بر زمین می‌کوبم که زیر پاهایم بیفتند و برنخیزند.

I haue wounded them, that they were not able to rise: they are fallen vnder my feete.

39 تو برای جنگیدن مرا قوت بخشیده‌ای و دشمنانم را زیر پاهای من انداخته‌ای.

For thou hast girded me with strength to battell: them, that rose against me, thou hast subdued vnder me.

40 تو آنها را وادار به عقب‌نشینی و فرار می‌نمایی و من آنها را نابود می‌کنم.

And thou hast giuen me the neckes of mine enemies, that I might destroy them that hate me.

41 فریاد برمی‌آورند، ولی کسی نیست که آنها را برهاند. از خداوند کمک می‌خواهند، اما او نیز به داد ایشان نمی‌رسد.

They cryed but there was none to saue them, euen vnto the Lord, but hee answered them not.

42 من آنها را خرد کرده، به صورت غبار درمی‌آورم، و آنها را مانند گِل کوچه‌ها لگدمال می‌کنم.

Then I did beate them small as the dust before the winde: I did treade them flat as the clay in the streetes.

43 تو مرا از شورش قومم نجات داده‌ای و مرا رهبر قومها ساخته‌ای. مردمی که قبلاً آنها را نمی‌شناختم اکنون مرا خدمت می‌کنند.

Thou hast deliuered me from the contentions of the people: thou hast made me the head of the heathen: a people, whom I haue not knowen, shall serue me.

44 بیگانه‌ها در حضور من سر تعظیم فرود می‌آورند و به محض شنیدن دستورهایم، آنها را اجرا می‌کنند.

As soone as they heare, they shall obey me: the strangers shall be in subiection to me.

45 آنها روحیهٔ خود را باخته‌اند و با ترس و لرز از قلعه‌های خود بیرون می‌آیند.

Strangers shall shrinke away, and feare in their priuie chambers.

46 خداوند زنده است! شکر و سپاس بر خدای متعال باد که صخرهٔ نجات من است!

Let the Lord liue, and blessed be my strength, and the God of my saluation be exalted.

47 خدایی که انتقام مرا می‌گیرد، قومها را مغلوب من می‌گرداند،

It is God that giueth me power to auenge me, and subdueth the people vnder me.

48 و مرا از چنگ دشمنان می‌رهاند. خداوندا، تو مرا بر دشمنانم پیروز گردانیدی و از دست ظالمان رهایی دادی.

O my deliuerer from mine enemies, euen thou hast set mee vp from them, that rose against me: thou hast deliuered mee from the cruell man.

49 ای خداوند، تو را در میان قومها خواهم ستود و در وصف تو خواهم سرایید.

Therefore I will prayse thee, O Lord, among the nations, and wil sing vnto thy Name.

50 خدا پیروزیهای بزرگی نصیب پادشاه برگزیدهٔ خود، داوود، می‌سازد، و بر او و نسلش همیشه محبت می‌کند.

Great deliuerances giueth hee vnto his King, and sheweth mercie to his anoynted, euen to Dauid, and to his seede for euer.

David Escapes through a Window
