| غزل داوود. ای خدا، از من محافظت فرما، زیرا که به تو پناه آورده‌ام. | 1 |
Michtam of David. Keep me, O God; for I have taken refuge in Thee.
| به خداوند گفتم: «تو خداوند من هستی و من جز تو هیچ چیز خوب ندارم.» | 2 |
I have said unto the LORD: 'Thou art my Lord; I have no good but in Thee';
| بزرگان واقعی دنیا کسانی هستند که به تو ایمان دارند، و ایشان مایهٔ شادی من می‌باشند. | 3 |
As for the holy that are in the earth, they are the excellent in whom is all my delight.
| آنان که به دنبال خدایان دیگر می‌روند دچار دردهای زیادی خواهند شد. من برای این خدایان قربانی نخواهم کرد و حتی نام آنها را بر زبان نخواهم آورد. | 4 |
Let the idols of them be multiplied that make suit unto another; their drink-offerings of blood will I not offer, nor take their names upon my lips.
| ای خداوند، تو همه چیز من هستی! تو پیالۀ برکت من هستی! آنچه دارم، در تو محفوظ است. | 5 |
O LORD, the portion of mine inheritance and of my cup, Thou maintainest my lot.
| زمینی که به من بخشیده‌ای زمینی است دلپذیر. چه میراثی عالی به من داده‌ای! | 6 |
The lines are fallen unto me in pleasant places; yea, I have a goodly heritage.
| خداوند را شکر می‌کنم که مرا راهنمایی می‌کند و حتی شب هنگام نیز مرا تعلیم می‌دهد. | 7 |
I will bless the LORD, who hath given me counsel; yea, in the night seasons my reins instruct me.
| خداوند را همیشه پیش روی خود می‌دارم. او در کنار من است و هیچ چیز نمی‌تواند مرا بلرزاند. | 8 |
I have set the LORD always before me; surely He is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.
| پس دلم شاد است و زبانم در وجد؛ بدنم نیز در امنیت ساکن است. | 9 |
Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoiceth; my flesh also dwelleth in safety;
| زیرا تو جان مرا در چنگال مرگ رها نخواهی کرد و نخواهی گذاشت قُدّوسِ تو در قبر بپوسد. (Sheol h7585) | 10 |
For Thou wilt not abandon my soul to the nether-world; neither wilt Thou suffer Thy godly one to see the pit. (Sheol h7585)
| تو راه حیات را به من نشان خواهی داد. حضور تو مرا از شادی لبریز می‌کند و بودن در کنار تو به من لذتی جاودانی می‌بخشد. | 11 |
Thou makest me to know the path of life; in Thy presence is fulness of joy, in Thy right hand bliss for evermore.
