| مزمور داوود. ای خداوند، دعای مرا بشنو و به التماس من گوش بده! تو عادل و امین هستی، پس دعایم را اجابت فرما. | 1 |
A Melody of David. O Yahweh, hear my prayer, Give ear to my supplications, In thy faithfulness, answer me, in thy righteousness.
| بندهٔ خود را محاکمه نکن، زیرا هیچ‌کس در نزد تو عادل و بی‌گناه نیست. | 2 |
Do not then enter into judgment with thy servant, for no one living, can appear just before thee.
| دشمن مرا از پای درآورده و به زمین کوبیده است! روزگارم را آنچنان سیاه کرده که مرگ را در چند قدمی خود می‌بینم! | 3 |
For an enemy hath pursued my soul, hath crushed, to the earth, my life, hath made me dwell in dark places, like the ancient dead.
| روحیهٔ خود را به کلی باخته‌ام و از ترس نزدیک است قالب تهی کنم. | 4 |
Therefore hath my spirit, fainted concerning myself, Within me, hath, my heart, been confounded.
| گذشتهٔ خود را به یاد می‌آورم و به کارهایی که تو ای خدا، برای من انجام داده‌ای می‌اندیشم. | 5 |
I have remembered the days of aforetime, I have talked with myself of every deed of thine, Of the work of thy hands, I would speak:
| دستهای خود را به سوی تو دراز می‌کنم. جان من همچون زمین خشک، تشنه و طالب توست! | 6 |
I have spread out my hands unto thee, My soul, is as a thirsty land, for thee. (Selah)
| ای خداوند، دعای مرا هر چه زودتر اجابت فرما، زیرا نومید و مأیوسم. روی خود را از من برنگردان، مبادا بمیرم. | 7 |
Speedily answer me, O Yahweh, My spirit faileth, —Do not hide thy face from me, or I shall be made like unto them who go down into the pit.
| هر روز صبح محبت خود را به من بنمایان، زیرا بر تو توکل دارم. راهی را که باید بپیمایم به من نشان ده، زیرا از صمیم قلب به حضور تو دعا می‌کنم. | 8 |
Let me hear, in the morning, thy lovingkindness, for, in thee, have, I trusted, —Let me know the way in which I should walk, for, unto thee, have I uplifted my soul.
| ای خداوند، مرا از دست دشمنانم برهان، زیرا به تو پناه آورده‌ام. | 9 |
Rescue me from my foes, O Yahweh, Unto thee, have I come seeking refuge.
| مرا تعلیم ده تا ارادهٔ تو را بجا آورم، زیرا تو خدای من هستی. باشد که روح مهربان تو مرا به زمین هموار هدایت کند. | 10 |
Teach me to do thy good pleasure, for, thou, art my God, —Thy spirit, is good, thou wilt set me down to rest in a level land.
| ای خداوند، به خاطر نام خود جانم را حفظ کن، به خاطر عدالت خود، مرا از این تنگی برهان. | 11 |
For the sake of thy Name, O Yahweh, wilt thou give unto me life, In thy righteousness, wilt thou bring forth, out of distress, my soul;
| بر من محبت فرما و همهٔ دشمنان و مخالفانم را نابود کن، زیرا من خدمتگزار تو هستم. | 12 |
And, in thy lovingkindness, wilt thou exterminate my foes, —and destroy all the adversaries of my soul, because, I, am thy servant.
