1 سپاس بر خداوند! نام خداوند را بستایید! ای خدمتگزاران خداوند، او را نیایش کنید!

Praise Yah! Praise Yahweh’s name! Praise him, you servants of Yahweh,

2 ای کسانی که در صحن خانهٔ خداوند می‌ایستید، او را پرستش نمایید!

you who stand in Yahweh’s house, in the courts of our God’s house.

3 خداوند را شکر کنید، زیرا او نیکوست. نام خداوند را بسرایید، زیرا نام او دلپسند است.

Praise Yah, for Yahweh is good. Sing praises to his name, for that is pleasant.

4 خداوند یعقوب را برای خود برگزید، و اسرائیل را تا قوم خاص او باشد.

For Yah has chosen Jacob for himself, Israel for his own possession.

5 می‌دانم که خداوند بزرگ است و از جمیع خدایان برتر!

For I know that Yahweh is great, that our Lord is above all gods.

6 او هر آنچه که بخواهد، در آسمان و زمین و حتی اعماق دریا، انجام می‌دهد.

Whatever Yahweh pleased, that he has done, in heaven and in earth, in the seas and in all deeps.

7 ابرها را از جاهای دور دست زمین برمی‌آورد، رعد و برق و باد و باران ایجاد می‌کند.

He causes the clouds to rise from the ends of the earth. He makes lightnings with the rain. He brings the wind out of his treasuries.

8 خداوند پسران ارشد مصری‌ها را کشت و نخست‌زاده‌های حیواناتشان را هلاک کرد.

He struck the firstborn of Egypt, both of man and animal.

9 او بر ضد فرعون و قومش معجزات و علامات عظیم در مصر انجام داد.

He sent signs and wonders into the middle of you, Egypt, on Pharaoh, and on all his servants.

10 ممالک بزرگ را مجازات کرد و پادشاهان مقتدر را از بین برد:

He struck many nations, and killed mighty kings—

11 سیحون، پادشاه اموری‌ها و عوج، پادشاه باشان و همهٔ پادشاهان کنعان را،

Sihon king of the Amorites, Og king of Bashan, and all the kingdoms of Canaan—

12 و سرزمین آنها را همچون میراث به قوم خود اسرائیل بخشید.

and gave their land for a heritage, a heritage to Israel, his people.

13 ای خداوند، نام تو تا ابد باقی است! همهٔ نسلها تو را به یاد خواهند آورد.

Your name, Yahweh, endures forever; your renown, Yahweh, throughout all generations.

14 تو قوم خود را داوری خواهی نمود و بر بندگان خود رحم خواهی کرد.

For Yahweh will judge his people and have compassion on his servants.

15 خدایان قومهای دیگر، بتهای ساخته شده از طلا و نقره هستند.

The idols of the nations are silver and gold, the work of men’s hands.

16 دهان دارند، ولی سخن نمی‌گویند؛ چشم دارند، اما نمی‌بینند؛

They have mouths, but they can’t speak. They have eyes, but they can’t see.

17 گوش دارند، ولی نمی‌شنوند؛ حتی قادر نیستند نفس بکشند!

They have ears, but they can’t hear, neither is there any breath in their mouths.

18 سازندگان و پرستندگان بتها نیز مانند آنها هستند.

Those who make them will be like them, yes, everyone who trusts in them.

19 ای بنی‌اسرائیل، خداوند را ستایش کنید! ای کاهنان، ای خاندان هارون، خداوند را ستایش کنید!

House of Israel, praise Yahweh! House of Aaron, praise Yahweh!

20 ای لاویان، خداوند را ستایش کنید! ای خداشناسان، او را ستایش کنید!

House of Levi, praise Yahweh! You who fear Yahweh, praise Yahweh!

21 ای مردم اورشلیم، خداوند را ستایش کنید، زیرا او در اورشلیم ساکن است! سپاس بر خداوند!

Blessed be Yahweh from Zion, who dwells in Jerusalem. Praise Yah!
