| خوشا به حال آنان که راست‌کردارند، و مطابق شریعت خداوند رفتار می‌کنند. | 1 |
ALEPH. Blessed are the perfect in the way, who walk in the law of Jehovah.
| خوشا به حال کسانی که احکام خداوند را بجا می‌آورند، از صمیم قلب او را اطاعت می‌کنند | 2 |
Blessed are they that observe his testimonies, that seek him with the whole heart;
| و به راههای کج نمی‌روند، بلکه در راههایی گام برمی‌دارند که خدا نشان داده است. | 3 |
Who also do no unrighteousness: they walk in his ways.
| خداوندا، تو فرمانهای خود را به ما داده‌ای و فرموده‌ای که آنها را با جدیت انجام دهیم. | 4 |
Thou hast enjoined thy precepts, to be kept diligently.
| چقدر آرزو دارم که در انجام فرایض تو مطیع و وفادار باشم! | 5 |
Oh that my ways were directed to keep thy statutes!
| اگر تمام دستورهای تو را پیوسته در نظر داشته باشم، هیچوقت شرمنده نخواهم شد! | 6 |
Then shall I not be ashamed, when I have respect unto all thy commandments.
| وقتی قوانین منصفانهٔ تو را بیاموزم، از صمیم قلب تو را حمد خواهم گفت! | 7 |
I will give thee thanks with uprightness of heart, when I shall have learned thy righteous judgments.
| ای خداوند، فرایض تو را بجا خواهم آورد؛ تو هیچگاه مرا ترک نکن! | 8 |
I will keep thy statutes: forsake me not utterly.
| مرد جوان چگونه می‌تواند زندگی خود را پاک نگاه دارد؟ به‌وسیلۀ خواندن کلام خدا و اطاعت از دستورهای آن! | 9 |
BETH. Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his path? by taking heed according to thy word.
| خداوندا، با تمام وجودم تو را می‌جویم، پس نگذار از احکام تو منحرف شوم. | 10 |
With my whole heart have I sought thee: let me not wander from thy commandments.
| کلام تو را در دل خود حفظ می‌کنم و به خاطر می‌سپارم تا مبادا نسبت به تو گناه ورزم! | 11 |
Thy word have I hid in my heart, that I might not sin against thee.
| ای خداوند متبارک، فرایض خود را به من بیاموز! | 12 |
Blessed art thou, Jehovah! teach me thy statutes.
| تمام قوانین تو را با صدای بلند بیان خواهم کرد. | 13 |
With my lips have I declared all the judgments of thy mouth.
| بیش از هر چیز دیگر، از پیروی قوانین تو لذت می‌برم! در کلام تو تفکر خواهم کرد و فرمانهایت را به خاطر خواهم سپرد. | 14 |
I have rejoiced in the way of thy testimonies, as [much as] in all wealth.
| 15 |
I will meditate upon thy precepts, and have respect unto thy paths.
| از فرایض تو لذت می‌برم و هرگز آنها را فراموش نخواهم کرد. | 16 |
I delight myself in thy statutes; I will not forget thy word.
| خداوندا، به خدمتگزارت احسان نما تا زنده بمانم و کلام تو را اطاعت کنم. | 17 |
GIMEL. Deal bountifully with thy servant [and] I shall live; and I will keep thy word.
| چشمانم را بگشا تا حقایق شگفت‌انگیز شریعت تو را ببینم. | 18 |
Open mine eyes, and I shall behold wondrous things out of thy law.
| من در این دنیا غریب هستم؛ ای خدا، احکام خود را از من مخفی مدار. | 19 |
I am a stranger in the land; hide not thy commandments from me.
| اشتیاق به دانستن قوانین تو، همچون آتش همواره جانم را می‌سوزاند! | 20 |
My soul breaketh for longing after thy judgments at all times.
| تو متکبران ملعون را که از احکام تو منحرف می‌شوند، مجازات خواهی کرد. | 21 |
Thou hast rebuked the proud [that are] cursed, who wander from thy commandments.
| ننگ و رسوایی را از من بگیر، زیرا احکام تو را انجام داده‌ام. | 22 |
Roll off from me reproach and contempt; for I observe thy testimonies.
| حکمرانان می‌نشینند و بر ضد من توطئه می‌چینند، اما من به فرایض تو فکر می‌کنم. | 23 |
Princes also did sit [and] talk together against me: thy servant doth meditate in thy statutes.
| احکام تو موجب شادی من است و همیشه مرا راهنمایی کرده است. | 24 |
Thy testimonies also are my delight [and] my counsellors.
| ای خداوند، جانم به خاک چسبیده است؛ مطابق کلامت مرا زنده ساز! | 25 |
DALETH. My soul cleaveth unto the dust: quicken me according to thy word.
| راههای خود را آشکار کردم و تو مرا اجابت فرمودی. اکنون فرایض خود را به من بیاموز. | 26 |
I have declared my ways, and thou hast answered me: teach me thy statutes.
| فرمانهایت را به من یاد ده تا دربارهٔ کلام شگفت‌انگیز تو تفکر نمایم. | 27 |
Make me to understand the way of thy precepts, and I will meditate upon thy wondrous works.
| جان من از حزن و اندوه پژمرده می‌شود؛ با کلامت جان مرا تازه ساز! | 28 |
My soul melteth for sadness: strengthen me according to thy word.
| نگذار به راه خطا روم؛ شریعت خود را به من بشناسان. | 29 |
Remove from me the way of falsehood, and graciously grant me thy law.
| من راه وفاداری را اختیار نموده‌ام و قوانین تو را از نظر خود دور نداشته‌ام. | 30 |
I have chosen the way of faithfulness; thy judgments have I set [before me].
| خداوندا، احکام تو را بجا می‌آورم؛ مگذار شرمنده شوم. | 31 |
I cleave unto thy testimonies; Jehovah, let me not be ashamed.
| با اشتیاق فراوان در احکام تو گام برمی‌دارم، زیرا تو دل مرا از بند رها ساختی. | 32 |
I will run the way of thy commandments when thou shalt enlarge my heart.
| ای خداوند، راه اجرای فرایض خود را به من بیاموز و من همیشه آنها را انجام خواهم داد. | 33 |
HE. Teach me, O Jehovah, the way of thy statutes, and I will observe it [unto] the end.
| به من فهم و حکمت بده تا با تمام دل شریعت تو را نگاه دارم. | 34 |
Give me understanding, and I will observe thy law; and I will keep it with [my] whole heart.
| مرا در راه احکامت هدایت کن، زیرا از آنها لذت می‌برم. | 35 |
Make me to walk in the path of thy commandments; for therein do I delight.
| دل مرا به سوی احکامت مایل ساز، نه به سوی حرص و طمع! | 36 |
Incline my heart unto thy testimonies, and not to gain.
| مگذار به آنچه بی‌ارزش است توجه کنم؛ مرا با کلامت احیا کن! | 37 |
Turn away mine eyes from beholding vanity; quicken me in thy way.
| طبق وعده‌ای که به من داده‌ای عمل نما همان وعده‌ای که تو به مطیعان خود می‌دهی! | 38 |
Establish thy word unto thy servant, who is [devoted] to thy fear.
| از آن رسوایی که می‌ترسم مرا برهان، زیرا قوانین تو نیکوست! | 39 |
Turn away my reproach which I fear; for thy judgments are good.
| خداوندا، مشتاق فرمانهای تو هستم! ای خدای عادل، جان مرا تازه ساز! | 40 |
Behold, I have longed after thy precepts: quicken me in thy righteousness.
| ای خداوند، بر من محبت فرما و طبق وعده‌ات مرا نجات ده | 41 |
VAU. And let thy loving-kindness come unto me, O Jehovah, — thy salvation according to thy word.
| تا بتوانم پاسخ مخالفانم را بدهم، زیرا آنان مرا برای اینکه بر تو اعتماد دارم، سرزنش می‌کنند. | 42 |
So shall I have wherewith to answer him that reproacheth me; for I confide in thy word.
| قدرت بیان حقیقت را از من مگیر، زیرا به قوانین تو امید بسته‌ام. | 43 |
And take not the word of truth utterly out of my mouth; because I have hoped in thy judgments.
| پیوسته شریعت تو را نگاه خواهم داشت، تا ابدالآباد! | 44 |
Then will I keep thy law continually, for ever and ever;
| در آزادی کامل زندگی خواهم کرد، زیرا همیشه مطیع فرمانهایت هستم. | 45 |
And I will walk at liberty, for I have sought thy precepts;
| احکام تو را در حضور پادشاهان اعلام خواهم کرد و از این کار خود شرمنده نخواهم شد. | 46 |
And I will speak of thy testimonies before kings, and will not be ashamed;
| از اطاعت کردن احکامت لذت می‌برم، زیرا آنها را دوست دارم. | 47 |
And I will delight myself in thy commandments, which I have loved;
| احکام تو را با جان و دل می‌پذیرم و دربارهٔ فرایض تو تفکر می‌کنم. | 48 |
And I will lift up my hands unto thy commandments, which I have loved, and I will meditate in thy statutes.
| خداوندا، قولی را که به بندهٔ خود داده‌ای به یاد آور، زیرا مرا به‌وسیلۀ آن امیدوار ساخته‌ای. | 49 |
ZAIN. Remember the word for thy servant, upon which thou hast caused me to hope.
| در زمان مصیبت به‌وسیلۀ کلامت تسلی یافتم، زیرا وعدهٔ تو حیات به جان من بخشید. | 50 |
This is my comfort in mine affliction; for thy word hath quickened me.
| متکبران مرا بسیار مسخره کردند، اما من هرگز شریعت تو را ترک نکردم. | 51 |
The proud have derided me beyond measure: I have not declined from thy law.
| ای خداوند، قوانین تو را که در زمانهای قدیم صادر کرده بودی، به یاد آوردم و به‌وسیلۀ آنها خود را دلداری دادم. | 52 |
I remembered thy judgments of old, O Jehovah, and have comforted myself.
| وقتی می‌بینم بدکاران شریعت تو را می‌شکنند، بسیار خشمگین می‌شوم. | 53 |
Burning indignation hath taken hold upon me because of the wicked who forsake thy law.
| هر جا مسکن گزینم، فرایض تو سرود من خواهند بود. | 54 |
Thy statutes have been my songs in the house of my pilgrimage.
| ای خداوند، در شب نیز افکارم متوجهٔ توست و دربارهٔ شریعت تو می‌اندیشم. | 55 |
I have remembered thy name, O Jehovah, in the night, and have kept thy law.
| سعادت من در این است که از فرامین تو اطاعت کنم. | 56 |
This I have had, because I have observed thy precepts.
| ای خداوند، تو نصیب من هستی! قول می‌دهم که کلامت را نگاه دارم. | 57 |
CHETH. My portion, O Jehovah, I have said, is to keep thy words.
| با تمام دل خود طالب رضامندی تو می‌باشم، طبق وعده‌ات بر من رحم فرما! | 58 |
I have sought thy favour with [my] whole heart: be gracious unto me according to thy word.
| دربارهٔ زندگی خود بسیار اندیشیدم و به سوی تو آمدم تا از احکام تو پیروی کنم. | 59 |
I have thought on my ways, and turned my feet unto thy testimonies.
| با شتاب آمدم تا احکام تو را اجرا کنم. | 60 |
I have made haste, and not delayed, to keep thy commandments.
| بدکاران کوشیدند مرا به گناه بکشانند، اما من شریعت تو را فراموش نکردم. | 61 |
The bands of the wicked have wrapped me round: I have not forgotten thy law.
| در نیمه‌های شب برمی‌خیزم تا تو را به سبب قوانین عادلانه‌ات ستایش کنم. | 62 |
At midnight I rise up to give thanks unto thee, because of thy righteous judgments.
| من دوست همهٔ کسانی هستم که تو را گرامی می‌دارند و فرمانهایت را انجام می‌دهند. | 63 |
I am the companion of all that fear thee, and of them that keep thy precepts.
| ای خداوند، زمین از محبت تو پر است! فرایض خود را به من بیاموز! | 64 |
The earth, O Jehovah, is full of thy loving-kindness: teach me thy statutes.
| خداوندا، همان‌گونه که وعده دادی، بر بنده‌ات احسان فرموده‌ای. | 65 |
TETH. Thou hast dealt well with thy servant, O Jehovah, according to thy word.
| حکمت و قضاوت صحیح را به من یاد ده، زیرا به احکام تو ایمان دارم. | 66 |
Teach me good discernment and knowledge; for I have believed in thy commandments.
| پیش از اینکه تو مرا تنبیه کنی، من گمراه بودم، اما اینک پیرو کلام تو هستم. | 67 |
Before I was afflicted I went astray, but now I keep thy word.
| تو نیک هستی و نیکی می‌کنی! فرایض خود را به من بیاموز! | 68 |
Thou art good, and doest good; teach me thy statutes.
| متکبران دروغها دربارهٔ من می‌گویند، اما من از صمیم قلب مطیع فرمانهایت هستم. | 69 |
The proud have forged falsehood against me: I will observe thy precepts with [my] whole heart.
| دل آنها سخت و بی‌احساس است، اما من از شریعت تو لذت می‌برم. | 70 |
Their heart is as fat as grease: as for me, I delight in thy law.
| تو مرا تنبیه کردی و این به نفع من تمام شد، زیرا باعث شد فرایض تو را بیاموزم. | 71 |
It is good for me that I have been afflicted, that I might learn thy statutes.
| شریعت تو برای من از تمام زر و سیم دنیا با ارزشتر است. | 72 |
The law of thy mouth is better unto me than thousands of gold and silver.
| ای خداوند، تو مرا آفریده‌ای؛ پس به من دانش عطا کن تا احکام تو را بیاموزم. | 73 |
YOD. Thy hands have made me and fashioned me: give me understanding, and I will learn thy commandments.
| آنان که تو را گرامی می‌دارند، از دیدن من خوشحال می‌شوند، زیرا من نیز بر کلام تو توکل دارم. | 74 |
They that fear thee will see me, and rejoice; because I have hoped in thy word.
| ای خداوند، می‌دانم که قوانین تو عدل است، و مرا منصفانه تنبیه نموده‌ای. | 75 |
I know, Jehovah, that thy Judgments are righteousness, and that in faithfulness thou hast afflicted me.
| اکنون طبق وعده‌ای که فرموده‌ای، بگذار محبت تو مایهٔ تسلی من شود. | 76 |
Oh let thy loving-kindness be for my comfort, according to thy word unto thy servant.
| بر من رحم فرما تا جانم تازه شود، زیرا از شریعت تو لذت می‌برم! | 77 |
Let thy tender mercies come unto me, that I may live; for thy law is my delight.
| باشد که متکبران شرمنده شوند، زیرا با دروغهای خود مرا آزار رساندند؛ اما من دربارهٔ فرمانهایت تفکر خواهم کرد. | 78 |
Let the proud be ashamed; for they have acted perversely towards me with falsehood: as for me, I meditate in thy precepts.
| ای خداوند، بگذار آنانی که تو را گرامی می‌دارند و با احکام تو آشنا هستند، نزد من آیند. | 79 |
Let those that fear thee turn unto me, and those that know thy testimonies.
| مرا یاری ده که به طور کامل از فرایض تو اطاعت کنم تا شرمنده نشوم! | 80 |
Let my heart be perfect in thy statutes, that I be not ashamed.
| خداوندا، آنقدر انتظار کشیدم مرا نجات دهی که خسته و فرسوده شدم؛ اما هنوز به وعدهٔ تو امیدوارم! | 81 |
CAPH. My soul fainteth for thy salvation; I hope in thy word.
| از بس منتظر شدم به وعدهٔ خود وفا کنی، چشمانم تار گردید! خداوندا، چه وقت به کمک من خواهی آمد؟ | 82 |
Mine eyes fail for thy word, saying, When wilt thou comfort me?
| مانند مشک دوده گرفته و چروکیده شده‌ام؛ اما فرایض تو را فراموش نکرده‌ام. | 83 |
For I am become like a bottle in the smoke; I do not forget thy statutes.
| تا به کی باید منتظر باشم؟ کی آزاردهندگان مرا مجازات خواهی کرد؟ | 84 |
How many shall be the days of thy servant? when wilt thou execute judgment on them that persecute me?
| متکبران که با شریعت تو مخالفت می‌کنند، برای من چاه کنده‌اند تا مرا گرفتار سازند. | 85 |
The proud have digged pits for me, which is not according to thy law.
| ای خداوند، تمام احکام تو قابل اعتماد می‌باشند. متکبران به ناحق مرا عذاب دادند. خداوندا، به دادم برس! | 86 |
All thy commandments are faithfulness. They persecute me wrongfully: help thou me.
| نزدیک بود مرا از بین ببرند، اما من از فرامین تو غافل نشدم. | 87 |
They had almost consumed me upon the earth; but as for me, I forsook not thy precepts.
| خداوندا، تو پر از محبتی؛ به جان من حیات ببخش تا احکامت را بجا آورم. | 88 |
Quicken me according to thy loving-kindness, and I will keep the testimony of thy mouth.
| ای خداوند، کلام تو تا ابد در آسمانها پایدار خواهد ماند. | 89 |
LAMED. For ever, O Jehovah, thy word is settled in the heavens.
| وفاداری تو در همهٔ نسلها همچنان پا برجا خواهد بود و مانند زمینی که آفریده‌ای ثابت خواهد ماند. | 90 |
Thy faithfulness is from generation to generation: thou hast established the earth, and it standeth.
| همهٔ کاینات به فرمان تو تا به حال باقی مانده‌اند، زیرا تمام آنها در خدمت تو هستند. | 91 |
By thine ordinances they stand this day; for all things are thy servants.
| اگر شریعت تو مایهٔ شادمانی من نشده بود، بدون شک تا به حال از غصه مرده بودم! | 92 |
Unless thy law had been my delight, I should then have perished in mine affliction.
| فرمانهایت را هرگز فراموش نخواهم کرد، زیرا به‌وسیلۀ آنها مرا حیات بخشیدی. | 93 |
I will never forget thy precepts; for by them thou hast quickened me.
| من از آن تو هستم، نجاتم ده. کوشیده‌ام فرمانهای تو را نگاه دارم. | 94 |
I am thine, save me; for I have sought thy precepts.
| بدکاران منتظرند مرا نابود کنند اما من به احکام تو می‌اندیشم. | 95 |
The wicked have awaited me to destroy me; [but] I attend unto thy testimonies.
| برای هر کمالی انتهایی دیدم، اما حکم تو کامل و بی‌انتهاست! | 96 |
I have seen an end of all perfection: thy commandment is exceeding broad.
| خداوندا، شریعت تو را چقدر دوست دارم! تمام روز در آن تفکر می‌کنم. | 97 |
MEM. Oh how I love thy law! it is my meditation all the day.
| احکام تو مرا از مخالفانم حکیمتر ساخته است، زیرا همیشه در ذهن و وجود من است. | 98 |
Thy commandments make me wiser than mine enemies; for they are ever with me.
| آری، حتی از معلمان خود نیز داناتر شده‌ام، زیرا همیشه در احکامت تفکر می‌کنم. | 99 |
I have more understanding than all my teachers; for thy testimonies are my (meditation)
| از ریش‌سفیدان قوم خود نیز خردمندتر شده‌ام، زیرا فرمانهای تو را اطاعت کرده‌ام. | 100 |
I understand more than the aged, because I have observed thy precepts.
| از رفتن به راه بد پرهیز کرده‌ام، زیرا خواست من این بوده که کلام تو را اطاعت کنم. | 101 |
I have refrained my feet from every evil path, that I might keep thy word.
| از قوانین تو دور نشده‌ام، زیرا تعلیم تو برای من نیک بوده است. | 102 |
I have not departed from thy judgments; for it is thou that hast taught me.
| کلام تو برای جان من شیرین است؛ حتی شیرینتر از عسل! | 103 |
How sweet are thy words unto my taste! more than honey to my mouth!
| از فرامین تو دانش و حکمت کسب کردم، به همین جهت از هر راه کج بیزار و گریزانم. | 104 |
From thy precepts I get understanding; therefore I hate every false path.
| کلام تو چراغ راهنمای من است؛ نوری است که راه را پیش پایم روشن می‌سازد! | 105 |
NUN. Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.
| قول داده‌ام که از قوانین عادلانهٔ تو اطاعت کنم و به قول خود وفادار خواهم ماند. | 106 |
I have sworn, and I will perform it, that I will keep thy righteous judgments.
| ای خداوند، بسیار درمانده و پریشان هستم؛ همان‌گونه که وعده فرموده‌ای، جان مرا حیات ببخش! | 107 |
I am afflicted very much; O Jehovah, quicken me according to thy word.
| خداوندا، دعای شکرگزاری مرا بپذیر و قوانین خود را به من بیاموز. | 108 |
Accept, I beseech thee, Jehovah, the voluntary-offerings of my mouth, and teach me thy judgments.
| جان من دائم در معرض خطر قرار می‌گیرد؛ اما من شریعت تو را فراموش نمی‌کنم. | 109 |
My life is continually in my hand; but I do not forget thy law.
| بدکاران بر سر راه من دام می‌نهند؛ اما من از فرمانهای تو منحرف نمی‌شوم. | 110 |
The wicked have laid a snare for me; but I have not wandered from thy precepts.
| احکام تو تا ابد در خزانهٔ قلبم خواهد ماند، زیرا مایهٔ شادی قلبم می‌باشد. | 111 |
Thy testimonies have I taken as a heritage for ever; for they are the rejoicing of my heart.
| با خود عهد بسته‌ام که تا دم مرگ فرایض تو را اطاعت کنم! | 112 |
I have inclined my heart to perform thy statutes for ever, unto the end.
| از مردمان دورو و متظاهر بیزارم، اما شریعت تو را دوست دارم. | 113 |
SAMECH. The double-minded have I hated; but thy law do I love.
| تو پناهگاه و سپر من هستی؛ امید من به وعدهٔ توست. | 114 |
Thou art my hiding-place and my shield: I hope in thy word.
| ای بدکاران، از من دور شوید؛ زیرا من احکام خدای خود را بجا می‌آورم. | 115 |
Depart from me, ye evil-doers; and I will observe the commandments of my God.
| خداوندا، طبق وعده‌ای که به من داده‌ای قدرت عطا فرما تا زنده بمانم. مگذار امیدم به یاس و نومیدی تبدیل شود. | 116 |
Uphold me according to thy word, that I may live; and let me not be ashamed of my hope.
| از من حمایت کن تا از دست دشمنانم ایمن باشم و به حفظ فرایض تو بپردازم. | 117 |
Hold thou me up, and I shall be safe; and I will have respect unto thy statutes continually.
| تو همهٔ کسانی را که فرایض تو را قبول نمی‌کنند از خود می‌رانی و تمام نقشه‌های اغفال کنندهٔ آنها را بی‌اثر می‌سازی. | 118 |
Thou hast set at nought all them that wander from thy statutes; for their deceit is falsehood.
| تمام بدکاران روی زمین را مانند تفاله دور خواهی انداخت، به همین دلیل است که من احکام تو را دوست دارم. | 119 |
Thou puttest away all the wicked of the earth [like] dross; therefore I love thy testimonies.
| ای خداوند، ترس تو در دل من است و از داوریهای تو هراسانم. | 120 |
My flesh shuddereth for fear of thee; and I am afraid of thy judgments.
| خداوندا، مرا به دست دشمنانم تسلیم نکن، زیرا آنچه را که درست و عادلانه بوده است، انجام داده‌ام. | 121 |
AIN. I have done judgment and justice: leave me not to mine oppressors.
| به من اطمینان بده که مرا یاری خواهی کرد؛ مگذار متکبران بر من ظلم کنند. | 122 |
Be surety for thy servant for good; let not the proud oppress me.
| آنقدر چشم انتظار ماندم که بیایی و مرا نجات دهی که چشمانم تار شد. | 123 |
Mine eyes fail for thy salvation, and for the word of thy righteousness.
| با من طبق محبت خود عمل نما و فرایض خود را به من بیاموز. | 124 |
Deal with thy servant according to thy loving-kindness, and teach me thy statutes.
| من خدمتگزار تو هستم؛ به من دانایی عنایت فرما تا احکامت را درک نمایم. | 125 |
I am thy servant; give me understanding that I may know thy testimonies.
| خداوندا، زمان آن رسیده که تو اقدام کنی، زیرا مردم از شریعت تو سرپیچی می‌کنند. | 126 |
It is time for Jehovah to work: they have made void thy law.
| من احکام تو را دوست دارم؛ آنها را بیش از طلا و زر خالص دوست دارم. | 127 |
Therefore I love thy commandments above gold, yea, above fine gold.
| همهٔ فرمانهای تو را، در هر موردی، صحیح می‌دانم؛ اما از هر نوع تعلیم دروغ متنفرم. | 128 |
Therefore I regard all [thy] precepts concerning all things to be right: I hate every false path.

PE. Thy testimonies are wonderful; therefore doth my soul observe them.
| درک کلام تو به انسان نور می‌بخشد و ساده‌دلان را خردمند می‌سازد. | 130 |
The entrance of thy words giveth light, giving understanding unto the simple.
| دهان خود را باز می‌کنم و لَه‌لَه می‌زنم، زیرا مشتاق احکام تو هستم. | 131 |
I opened my mouth wide and panted; for I longed for thy commandments.
| همان‌گونه که بر دوستداران خود رحمت می‌فرمایی، بر من نیز نظر لطف بیفکن و مرا مورد رحمت خود قرار ده. | 132 |
Turn unto me, and be gracious unto me, as thou art wont to do unto those that love thy name.
| با کلامت مرا راهنمایی کن تا مغلوب بدی نشوم. | 133 |
Establish my steps in thy word; and let not any iniquity have dominion over me.
| مرا از دست ظالمان نجات ده تا فرمانهای تو را انجام دهم. | 134 |
Deliver me from the oppression of man; and I will keep thy precepts.
| روی خود را بر خادم خود تابان ساز، و فرایض خود را به من بیاموز. | 135 |
Make thy face to shine upon thy servant, and teach me thy statutes.
| اشک همچون سیل از چشمانم سرازیر می‌شود، زیرا مردم شریعت تو را بجا نمی‌آورند. | 136 |
Mine eyes run down with streams of water, because they keep not thy law.
| ای خداوند، تو عادل هستی و قوانین تو منصفانه است. | 137 |
TZADE. Righteous art thou, Jehovah, and upright are thy judgments.
| احکامی را که وضع نموده‌ای تمام از عدل و انصاف سرشار است. | 138 |
Thou hast commanded thy testimonies in righteousness and exceeding faithfulness.
| آتش خشم من وجود مرا می‌سوزاند، زیرا دشمنانم به احکام تو بی‌اعتنایی می‌کنند. | 139 |
My zeal destroyeth me, because mine oppressors have forgotten thy words.
| کلام تو آزموده شده و پاک است؛ خادمت چقدر آن را دوست می‌دارد! | 140 |
Thy word is exceeding pure, and thy servant loveth it.
| من کوچک و نالایق هستم، اما از اجرای فرمانهای تو غافل نمی‌شوم. | 141 |
I am little and despised: thy precepts have I not forgotten.
| عدالت تو ابدی است و شریعت تو همیشه راست و درست است. | 142 |
Thy righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, and thy law is truth.
| من در زحمت و فشار هستم، ولی احکام تو موجب شادی من است! | 143 |
Trouble and anguish have taken hold upon me: thy commandments are my delights.
| احکام تو همیشه عادلانه است، مرا در فهم آنها یاری فرما تا روحم تازه شود! | 144 |
The righteousness of thy testimonies is for ever: give me understanding, and I shall live.
| ای خداوند، با تمام قوت خود نزد تو فریاد برمی‌آورم؛ مرا اجابت فرما تا فرایض تو را بجا آورم. | 145 |
KOPH. I have called with [my] whole heart; answer me, O Jehovah: I will observe thy statutes.
| از تو یاری می‌خواهم؛ مرا نجات ده تا احکام تو را انجام دهم. | 146 |
I call upon thee; save me, and I will keep thy testimonies.
| پیش از طلوع آفتاب نزد تو دعا و التماس کردم و به انتظار وعدهٔ تو نشستم. | 147 |
I anticipate the morning-dawn and I cry: I hope in thy word.
| تمام شب بیدار ماندم تا در کلام تو تفکر نمایم. | 148 |
Mine eyes anticipate the night-watches, that I may meditate in thy word.
| ای خداوند، به سبب محبت خود فریادم را بشنو و طبق قوانین خود جان مرا حفظ کن! | 149 |
Hear my voice according to thy loving-kindness: O Jehovah, quicken me according to thy judgment.
| افراد شرور و بدکار، که بویی از شریعت تو نبرده‌اند، به من نزدیک می‌شوند؛ | 150 |
They have drawn nigh that follow after mischief: they are far from thy law.
| اما ای خداوند، تو در کنار من هستی. همهٔ احکام تو حقیقت است. | 151 |
Thou, Jehovah, art near, and all thy commandments are truth.
| احکام تو را از مدتها پیش آموخته‌ام! تو آنها را چنان تثبیت کرده‌ای که تا ابد پا برجا بمانند. | 152 |
From thy testimonies, I have known of old that thou hast founded them for ever.
| ای خداوند، بر رنجهای من نظر کن و مرا نجات ده، زیرا من نسبت به شریعت تو بی‌اعتنا نبوده‌ام. | 153 |
RESH. See mine affliction, and deliver me; for I have not forgotten thy law.
| از حق من دفاع کن و مرا آزاد ساز! طبق وعده‌ات جان مرا حفظ کن. | 154 |
Plead my cause, and redeem me: quicken me according to thy word.
| بدکاران نجات نخواهند یافت، زیرا فرایض تو را اطاعت نمی‌کنند. | 155 |
Salvation is far from the wicked; for they seek not thy statutes.
| خداوندا، رحمت تو عظیم است! بگذار با حفظ قوانینت زنده بمانم! | 156 |
Many are thy tender mercies, O Jehovah; quicken me according to thy judgments.
| دشمنان و آزاردهندگان من بسیارند، اما من از اطاعت نمودن احکام تو غفلت نخواهم کرد. | 157 |
Many are my persecutors and mine oppressors; I have not declined from thy testimonies.
| وقتی به بدکاران که کلام تو را اطاعت نمی‌کنند، نگاه می‌کنم، از آنها منزجر می‌شوم. | 158 |
I beheld them that deal treacherously, and was grieved; because they kept not thy word.
| خداوندا، ملاحظه فرما که چقدر فرمانهای تو را دوست می‌دارم. طبق محبت خود، جان مرا حفظ کن. | 159 |
See how I have loved thy precepts: quicken me, O Jehovah, according to thy loving-kindness.
| تمام قوانین تو بر حق و داوریهای تو همیشه عادلانه است. | 160 |
The sum of thy word is truth, and every righteous judgment of thine is for ever.
| زورمندان با بی‌انصافی بر من ظلم کردند، اما من کلام تو را گرامی داشتم. | 161 |
SHIN. Princes have persecuted me without a cause; but my heart standeth in awe of thy word.
| به سبب وعده‌های تو خوشحال هستم، خوشحال مانند کسی که گنج بزرگی یافته باشد! | 162 |
I have joy in thy word, as one that findeth great spoil.
| از دروغ متنفر و بیزارم، اما شریعت تو را دوست دارم. | 163 |
I hate and abhor falsehood; thy law do I love.
| برای قوانین عادلانهٔ تو، روزی هفت بار تو را سپاس می‌گویم. | 164 |
Seven times a day do I praise thee because of thy righteous judgments.
| آنان که شریعت تو را دوست دارند از سلامتی کامل برخوردارند و هیچ قدرتی باعث لغزش آنان نخواهد شد! | 165 |
Great peace have they that love thy law, and nothing doth stumble them.
| ای خداوند، من احکام تو را اطاعت می‌کنم و امیدم به توست که مرا نجات دهی. | 166 |
I have hoped for thy salvation, O Jehovah, and have done thy commandments.
| احکام تو را انجام می‌دهم و آنها را از صمیم قلب دوست می‌دارم. | 167 |
My soul hath kept thy testimonies, and I love them exceedingly.
| فرامین و احکام تو را نگاه می‌دارم، زیرا تو ناظر بر همهٔ کارهای من هستی. | 168 |
I have kept thy precepts and thy testimonies; for all my ways are before thee.
| ای خداوند، فریاد مرا بشنو! طبق وعده‌ای که داده‌ای قدرت درک مرا زیاد کن. | 169 |
TAU. Let my cry come near before thee, Jehovah: give me understanding according to thy word.
| دعایم را بشنو و طبق وعده‌ات مرا نجات ده! | 170 |
Let my supplication come before thee: deliver me according to thy word.
| همیشه تو را سپاس می‌گویم، زیرا فرایض خود را به من می‌آموزی. | 171 |
My lips shall pour forth praise when thou hast taught me thy statutes.
| کلامت را با سرود ستایش خواهم کرد، زیرا تمام احکام تو عادلانه است! | 172 |
My tongue shall speak aloud of thy word; for all thy commandments are righteousness.
| یار و یاور من باش، زیرا مطیع فرامین تو هستم. | 173 |
Let thy hand be for my help; for I have chosen thy precepts.
| ای خداوند، مشتاق دیدن عمل رهایی‌بخش تو هستم؛ شریعت تو لذت زندگی من است! | 174 |
I have longed for thy salvation, O Jehovah, and thy law is my delight.
| بگذار زنده بمانم و تو را سپاس بگویم! بگذار قوانین تو راهنمای من باشند! | 175 |
Let my soul live, and it shall praise thee; and let thy judgments help me.
| مانند گوسفند گمشده سرگردان هستم! بیا و مرا دریاب، زیرا خادمت احکام تو را فراموش نکرده است. | 176 |
I have gone astray like a lost sheep: seek thy servant; for I have not forgotten thy commandments.
