| ما را نه، ای خداوند، ما را نه، بلکه نام خود را جلال بده، به خاطر محبت و وفاداریت. | 1 |
Not unto us, O Yahweh, not unto us, —but, unto thine own Name, give glory, concerning thy lovingkindness, concerning thy faithfulness.
| چرا مردم خدانشناس از ما بپرسند: «خدای شما کجاست؟» | 2 |
Wherefore should the nations say, Pray where is their God?
| خدای ما در آسمانهاست و آنچه را که اراده فرماید انجام می‌دهد. | 3 |
When, our God, is in the heavens, Whatsoever he pleased, hath he done.
| اما خدایان آنها، بتهای طلا و نقره می‌باشند که با دستهای انسان ساخته شده‌اند. | 4 |
Their idols, are silver and gold, the works of the hands of men, —
| بتهایشان دهان دارند ولی حرف نمی‌زنند. چشم دارند اما نمی‌بینند. | 5 |
A mouth, have they, but they speak not, Eyes, have they, but they see not;
| گوش دارند ولی نمی‌شنوند. بینی دارند، اما نمی‌بویند. | 6 |
Ears, have they, but they hear not, A nose, have they, but they smell not:
| دست دارند، ولی لمس نمی‌کنند. پا دارند اما راه نمی‌روند. از گلویشان صدایی بیرون نمی‌آید. | 7 |
Their hands! but they feel not Their feet! but they walk not, No sound make they in their throat.
| همه کسانی که این بتها را می‌سازند و آنها را پرستش می‌کنند مانند بتهایشان هستند. | 8 |
Like unto them, shall be they who make them, Every one who trusteth in them.
| ای قوم اسرائیل، بر خداوند توکل کنید، زیرا او مددکار و سپرِ محافظ شماست. | 9 |
O Israel! trust thou in Yahweh, Their help and their shield, is he!
| ای کاهنان نسل هارون، بر خداوند توکل کنید، زیرا او مددکار و سپرِ محافظ شماست. | 10 |
O house of Aaron! trust ye in Yahweh, Their help and their shield, is he!
| ای خداترسان بر خداوند توکل کنید، زیرا او مددکار و سپرِ محافظ شماست. | 11 |
Ye that revere Yahweh! trust in Yahweh, Their help and their shield, is he!
| خداوند همیشه به فکر ماست و ما را برکت می‌دهد. او مردم اسرائیل و کاهنان نسل هارون را برکت می‌دهد. | 12 |
Yahweh, hath remembered us, he will bless—He will bless the house of Israel, He will bless the house of Aaron;
| خداوند همهٔ کسانی را که او را گرامی می‌دارند، از کوچک و بزرگ، برکت می‌دهد. | 13 |
He will bless them who revere Yahweh, the small with the great.
| خداوند شما و فرزندانتان را به فراوانی برکت دهد. | 14 |
Yahweh multiply you, You, and your children.
| او که آسمانها و زمین را آفرید، شما را برکت دهد. | 15 |
Blessed are ye of Yahweh, who made the heavens and the earth:
| آسمانها از آن خداوند می‌باشند، ولی او زمین را به انسان بخشید. | 16 |
As for the heavens, the heavens, belong to Yahweh, but the earth, hath he given to the sons of men.
| مردگان و آنانی که به عالم خاموشی می‌روند، خداوند را ستایش نمی‌کنند. | 17 |
The dead, cannot praise Yah, nor any that go down into silence;
| اما ما زندگان، خداوند را از حال تا ابد ستایش خواهیم کرد. سپاس بر خداوند! | 18 |
But, we, will bless Yah, from henceforth even unto times age-abiding. Praise ye Yah.
