مزامیر 112

1 سپاس بر خداوند! خوشا به حال کسی که از خداوند می‌ترسد و احکام او را با رغبت انجام می‌دهد.

Hallelujah. Happy is the man that feareth the LORD, that delighteth greatly in His commandments.

2 فرزندان شخص درستکار در دنیا نیرومند خواهند شد و نسل او برکت خواهند یافت.

His seed shall be mighty upon earth; the generation of the upright shall be blessed.

3 خانواده‌اش صاحب مال و ثروت خواهد شد و خوبی‌های او هرگز از یاد نخواهند رفت.

Wealth and riches are in his house; and his merit endureth for ever.

4 برای کسی که درستکار و بخشنده، مهربان و نیکوکار است، حتی در تاریکی شب نیز نور طلوع می‌کند.

Unto the upright He shineth as a light in the darkness, gracious, and full of compassion, and righteous.

5 خوشبخت است کسی که سخاوتمندانه قرض می‌دهد و در کسب و کارش با انصاف است.

Well is it with the man that dealeth graciously and lendeth, that ordereth his affairs rightfully.

6 شخص عادل پیوسته پایدار خواهد بود و نام نیکش همیشه در یادها باقی خواهد ماند.

For he shall never be moved; the righteous shall be had in everlasting remembrance.

7 او از شنیدن خبر بد نمی‌ترسد، زیرا ایمانش قوی است و بر خداوند توکل دارد.

He shall not be afraid of evil tidings; his heart is stedfast, trusting in the LORD.

8 او نگران نمی‌شود و نمی‌ترسد زیرا مطمئن است که شکست دشمنانش را خواهد دید.

His heart is established, he shall not be afraid, until he gaze upon his adversaries.

9 او با گشاده‌دستی به نیازمندان کمک می‌کند و محبت و نیکوکاری‌اش همواره مایهٔ افتخارش خواهد بود؛ او همیشه نزد مردم سربلند و محترم می‌باشد.

He hath scattered abroad, he hath given to the needy; his righteousness endureth for ever; his horn shall be exalted in honour.

10 بدکاران این را می‌بینند و خشمگین می‌شوند؛ دندانهای خود را به هم می‌فشارند و همراه آرزوهایشان از بین می‌روند.

The wicked shall see it, and be vexed; he shall gnash with his teeth, and melt away; the desire of the wicked shall perish.
