| مزمور داوود. خداوند به خداوند من گفت: «به دست راست من بنشین تا دشمنانت را به زیر پایت بیفکنم.» | 1 |
Yahweh said to my lord [the king], “Sit [here], close to me, in the place of highest honor [MTY] until I [completely defeat] your enemies [MET] [and] make [them like] a stool for your feet!”
| خداوند، پادشاهی قدرتمند تو را فراتر از اورشلیم گسترش خواهد داد تا در میان دشمنانت حکمرانی کنی. | 2 |
Yahweh [also said to him], “I will extend your power as king from Jerusalem [to other lands]; you will rule over all your enemies.
| هنگامی که رهسپار جنگ شوی، قوم تو در لباس تقوی و پرهیزگاری، به حضورت خواهند آمد، و نیروی تو همچون شبنم صبحگاهی هر روز تازه‌تر خواهد شد. | 3 |
On the day that you lead your armies into battle, many of your people will volunteer [to join your army]. Like the dew refreshes the earth early in the morning, young men will [encourage you by] coming to help you.”
| خداوند سوگند خورده است و از آن برنخواهد گشت که: «تو تا ابد کاهن هستی، تو تا ابد کاهن هستی، کاهنی همانند مِلکیصدق.» | 4 |
Yahweh has made a solemn promise, and he will never change his mind; he has said to the king, “You will be a priest forever [serving Yahweh] like Melchizedek did.”
| خداوند که به دست راست توست در روز غضب خود، پادشاهان را شکست خواهد داد. | 5 |
Yahweh stands [in the place of highest honor] your right side; when he becomes angry, he will defeat [many kings].
| او قومها را داوری خواهد کرد، و میدانهای جنگ را از اجساد کشته‌شدگان پر خواهد ساخت و در سراسر دنیا، پادشاهان را مغلوب خواهد کرد. | 6 |
He will judge and punish the people of [many] nations; he will fill the land with their corpses. He will crush the heads of other kings all over the earth.
| او از نهر سر راهش خواهد نوشید و نیروی تازه گرفته، سربلند و پیروز خواهد ایستاد. | 7 |
But my lord the king will drink from streams near the road; he will be refreshed after defeating his enemies.
