مزامیر 107

1 خداوند را حمد گویید، زیرا او نیکوست و محبتش تا ابد باقی است.

O give thanks to Yahweh—For he is good, For, age-abiding, is his lovingkindness.

2 کسانی که توسط خداوند نجات یافته‌اند به همه اعلام کنند که خداوند آنها را از دست دشمنانشان نجات داده است

Let the redeemed of Yahweh say, Whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the adversary;

3 و آنها را از سرزمینهای بیگانه، از مشرق و مغرب، شمال و جنوب، به سرزمین خودشان بازگردانیده است.

And, out of the lands, hath gathered them—From the east and from the west, From the north and from the south.

4 برخی در صحرا آواره و سرگردان شدند و جای معینی برای سکونت نیافتند،

They wandered about in the desert—in a waste, Way to a city to dwell in, found they none;

5 گرسنه و تشنه بودند و جانشان به لب رسیده بود.

Hungry—yea thirsty, their soul, within them, fainted:

6 آنگاه در گرفتاری خود نزد خداوند فریاد برآوردند و او ایشان را از همهٔ تنگیهایشان رهانید و ایشان را از راه راست به سرزمینی هدایت کرد که بتوانند در آن زندگی کنند.

Then made they outcry to Yahweh, in their peril, Out of their distresses, he rescued them;

And led them by a straight road, That they might journey to a city to dwell in.

8 پس باید از خداوند، به سبب محبتش و کارهای بزرگی که در حق ایشان انجام داده است، تشکر کنند.

Let them give thanks to Yahweh for his lovingkindness, and for his wonderful dealings with the sons of men;

9 او جان تشنه و گرسنه را با نعمتهای خوب سیر می‌کند.

For he hath satisfied the longing soul, and, the famished soul, hath he filled with good.

10 آنانی که از دستورهای خدای متعال سر پیچیدند و به او اهانت کردند، اسیر و زندانی شدند و مرگ بر آنها سایه افکند.

The dwellers in darkness and death-shade, bound with oppression and iron;

Because they had rebelled against the sayings of GOD, —and, the counsel of the Most High, they had spurned;

12 پشت آنها در زیر بار مشقت خم شد و سرانجام افتادند و کسی نبود که ایشان را یاری کند.

And he bowed down, with labour, their heart, They staggered, with no one to help,

13 آنگاه در گرفتاری خود نزد خداوند فریاد برآوردند و او آنها را از همه تنگیهایشان رهانید.

Then made they outcry to Yahweh in their peril, Out of their distresses, he saved them;

14 آنها را از مرگی که بر آنها سایه افکنده بود رهانید و زنجیرهای اسارت ایشان را پاره کرد.

He brought them forth out of darkness and death-shade, and, their fetters, he tare off.

15 پس باید از خداوند، به سبب محبتش و کارهای بزرگی که در حق آنها انجام داده است، تشکر کنند.

Let them give thanks to Yahweh for his lovingkindness, and for his wonderful dealings with the sons of men!

16 او درهای مفرغین زندانها را می‌شکند و زنجیرهای اسارت را پاره می‌کند.

For he brake in pieces the doors of bronze, And, the bars of iron, he hewed asunder.

17 افراد نادان، به سبب رفتار شرارت‌بار و آلوده به گناه خود، ضعیف و بیمار شدند،

The perverse, by reason of their transgression, and on account of their iniquities, are afflicted;

18 اشتهای خود را از دست دادند و جانشان به لب گور رسید.

All manner of food, their soul abhorreth, and so they draw near unto the gates of death,

19 آنگاه در این گرفتاری خود، نزد خداوند فریاد برآوردند و او ایشان را از تنگیهایشان رهایی بخشید.

Then make they outcry to Yahweh in their peril, and, out of their distresses, he saveth them.

20 او با کلام خود آنها را شفا بخشید و ایشان را از مرگ نجات داد.

He sendeth his word, and healeth them, and delivereth them from their graves.

21 پس باید خداوند را به سبب محبتش و کارهای بزرگی که در حق ایشان انجام داده است، سپاس گویند.

Let them give thanks to Yahweh for his lovingkindness, and for his wonderful dealings with the sons of men!

22 باید با تقدیم قربانی از او تشکر کنند و با سرودهای شاد کارهایی را که کرده است اعلام نمایند.

Yea let them sacrifice the sacrifices of thanksgiving, and recount his works with a shout.

23 برخی به کشتی سوار شده، به دریا رفتند و به کار تجارت مشغول شدند.

Men who go down to the sea, in ships, doing business through mighty waters;

24 آنان قدرت خداوند را دیدند و کارهای شگرف او را در اعماق دریاها مشاهده نمودند.

They, see the works of Yahweh, and his wonders in the deep;

25 به امر او بادی شدید ایجاد شد و دریا را طوفانی ساخت،

And he speaketh, and there ariseth a tempestuous wind, which lifteth on high its rolling waves;

26 چنانکه کشتی‌ها دستخوش امواج گردیدند و بالا و پایین می‌رفتند. سرنشینان آنها، از ترس نیمه جان شدند

They mount the heavens, they descend the roaring deeps, their soul, by trouble, dissolveth;

27 و مثل مستان، تلوتلو خورده، گیج و سرگردان بودند.

They reel and stagger, like a drunken man, and, all their wisdom, is engulfed,

28 آنگاه در این گرفتاری خود نزد خداوند فریاد برآوردند و او ایشان را از این گرفتاری رهایی بخشید.

Then make they outcry to Yahweh in their peril, and, out of their distresses, he bringeth them forth,

29 خداوند طوفان را آرام و امواج دریا را ساکت ساخت.

He calmeth the storm to a whisper, and silent are their rolling waves:

30 آنها شاد شدند زیرا از خطر رهایی یافته بودند، و سرانجام به سلامت به بندر مراد خود رسیدند.

Then are they glad, because they are hushed, And he guideth them unto their desired haven.

31 پس آنها نیز باید خداوند را به سبب محبتش و کارهای بزرگی که در حق ایشان انجام داده است، سپاس گویند.

Let them give thanks to Yahweh for his lovingkindness, and for his wonderful dealings with the sons of men!

32 باید عظمت خداوند را در بین جماعت اسرائیل اعلام کنند و نزد بزرگان قوم، او را ستایش نمایند.

Yea let them extol him in the convocation of the people, and, in the seated company of elders, let them praise him.

33 خداوند رودخانه‌ها را به خشکی مبدل ساخت و چشمه‌های آب را خشک کرد.

He turneth Rivers into a desert, and, Springs of Water, into thirsty ground,

34 زمین حاصلخیز را به شوره‌زار تبدیل نمود، زیرا ساکنان آن شرور بودند.

A Land of Fruit, into a waste of salt, For the wickedness of them who dwell therein.

35 اما بار دیگر زمینهای شوره‌زار و خشک را حاصلخیز و پر از چشمه‌های آب نمود.

He turneth A Desert, into a pool of water, and, A Parched Land into springs of water;

36 گرسنگان را در آن اِسکان داد تا شهرهایشان را بسازند.

And hath caused the famished to dwell there, And they have built them a city to dwell in;

37 آنها مزارع و تاکستانها ایجاد کردند، و محصول پربار به دست آوردند.

And have sown fields, and planted vineyards, and made them fruits of increase:

38 خداوند آنها را برکت داده، فرزندان بسیاری به ایشان بخشید، و نگذاشت رمه‌ها و گله‌هایشان کم شوند.

Thus hath he blessed them, and they have multiplied greatly, And, their cattle, he maketh not few.

39 هنگامی که قوم خداوند در زیر ظلم و ستم رو به نابودی می‌رفتند،

So have they become few and been brought low, By oppression, misfortune, and sorrow;

40 خداوند کسانی را که بر قومش ظلم می‌کردند خوار و ذلیل ساخت و آنها را در میان ویرانه‌ها، آواره و سرگردان کرد.

He poureth contempt upon nobles, and causeth them to wander in a pathless waste;

41 او قوم فقیر و درماندهٔ خود را از زیر بار سختیها رهانید و فرزندان و گله‌های ایشان را افزونی بخشید.

But he hath set the needy on high from affliction, and made families, like a flock: —

42 نیکان این را دیده، شاد خواهند شد اما بدکاران خاموش خواهند شد.

The upright seeth and is glad, And, all perverseness, hath closed her mouth.

43 خردمندان دربارهٔ اینها فکر کنند و رحمت و محبت خداوند را به یاد داشته باشند.

Who is wise? then let him observe these things! and diligently consider the lovingkindness of Yahweh.
