The proverbs of Solomon, son of David, king of Israel.
| این امثال به شما کمک خواهند کرد تا حکمت و ادب بیاموزید و بتوانید سخنان پرمغز را درک کنید. | 2 |
They are for achieving wisdom and instruction, and to recognize sayings that bring insight.
| آنها به شما یاد خواهند داد چگونه رفتار عاقلانه داشته باشید و با صداقت و عدالت و انصاف عمل کنید. | 3 |
They provide education in what makes sense, living right, judging correctly, and acting fairly.
| این امثال به جاهلان حکمت می‌بخشند و به جوانان فهم و بصیرت. | 4 |
They give discernment to the immature, knowledge and discretion to the young.
| با شنیدن و درک این امثال، حتی دانایان داناتر می‌شوند و دانشمندان چاره اندیشی کسب می‌کنند تا بتوانند معانی گفتار پیچیدهٔ حکیمان را بفهمند. | 5 |
Wise people will listen and gain in learning, and those who have good judgment will gain skills in guidance,

understanding the proverbs and puzzles, the sayings and questions of the wise.
| ترس خداوند سرآغاز دانش است. کسی که حکمت و ادب را خوار می‌شمارد، جاهل است. | 7 |
Honoring the Lord is where true knowledge begins, but fools treat wisdom and good advice with contempt.
| ای جوان، نصیحت پدرت را بشنو و از تعلیم مادرت رویگردان نشو، | 8 |
My son, pay attention to your father's instruction, and don't reject your mother's teaching.
| زیرا سخنان ایشان مانند تاج و جواهر، سیرت تو را زیبا خواهند ساخت. | 9 |
They are a wreath of grace to decorate your head; they are pendants for your neck.
| وقتی گناهکاران تو را وسوسه می‌کنند، تسلیم نشو. | 10 |
My son, if evil people try to tempt you, don't give into them.
| اگر آنها به تو بگویند: «بیا در کمین مردم بنشینیم و آنها را بکشیم | 11 |
They may tell you, “Come with us. Let's go and hide, ready to kill someone. Let's ambush someone for fun!
| و مانند قبر، آنها را ببلعیم و از هستی ساقط کنیم؛ (Sheol h7585) | 12 |
Let's bury them alive; let's put them in the grave while they're still healthy! (Sheol h7585)
| از این راه ما اشیاء قیمتی فراوان به چنگ خواهیم آورد و خانه‌های خود را از این غنایم پر خواهیم ساخت؛ | 13 |
We'll take from them all kinds of valuable things and fill our homes with the stuff we steal!
| هر چه به دست بیاوریم به تساوی بین خود تقسیم خواهیم کرد؛ پس بیا و با ما همدست شو!» | 14 |
Come and join us and we'll all share what we get!”
| پسرم تو با آنها نرو و خود را از چنین افرادی دور نگه دار؛ | 15 |
My son, don't follow their ways. Don't go in that direction with them.
| زیرا آنها همیشه در پی گناه و قتل هستند. | 16 |
For they rush to do evil; they hurry to commit violence and murder.
| یک پرنده وقتی می‌بیند برایش دام گذاشته‌اند، از آن دوری می‌کند. | 17 |
There's no point in trying to lure birds into a net when they can see it.
| ولی این افراد چنین نیستند. آنها خودشان را به دام می‌اندازند و با دست خود گور خود را می‌کنند. | 18 |
However, these evil people hide ready to kill others, but they themselves are the victims. They're only ambushing themselves!
| این است سرنوشت تمام کسانی که در پی سود نامشروع هستند. چنین اشخاص خود را نابود می‌کنند. | 19 |
This is what happens to you if you try to become rich through crime—it kills you!
| حکمت در کوچه‌ها ندا می‌دهد. | 20 |
Wisdom calls out in the streets; she shouts aloud in the squares.
| مردم را که در سر چهارراه‌ها و نزد دروازهٔ شهر جمع شده‌اند صدا کرده، می‌گوید: | 21 |
She cries out at busy corners; she explains her message at the town gates:
| «ای نادانان! تا کی می‌خواهید نادان بمانید؟ تا کی می‌خواهید دانایی را مسخره کنید و از آن متنفر باشید؟ | 22 |
“How long will you stupid people love stupidity? How long will scornful people enjoy their mocking? How long will fools hate knowledge?
| بیایید و مشورت مرا بپذیرید، و من روح خود را بر شما نازل خواهم کرد و شما را دانا خواهم ساخت. | 23 |
Pay attention to my warnings, and I'll pour out my deepest thoughts to you—I'll explain what I know to you.
| «بارها شما را صدا کردم ولی توجه نکردید، التماس نمودم اما اعتنا ننمودید. | 24 |
For I have called you, but you refused to listen; I reached out my hand to you, but you didn't care.
| شما نصیحت و نکوهش مرا نپذیرفتید. | 25 |
You ignored everything I said; you wouldn't accept any of my warnings.
| من نیز به مصیبت شما خواهم خندید، و هنگامی که بلا دامنگیرتان شود شما را مسخره خواهم کرد، | 26 |
So I'll laugh at you when you're in trouble; I'll mock you when you're in a panic.
| آری، وقتی بلا مانند طوفان شما را فرا گیرد و مصیبت مثل گردباد شما را احاطه کند، و سختی و بدبختی شما را از پای درآورد. | 27 |
When panic rains down on you like a storm, when trouble hits you like a whirlwind, when sorrow and pain come on you,
| «هنگامی که آنها فریاد برآورند، به دادشان نخواهم رسید، و اگرچه با اشتیاق به دنبالم بگردند، مرا نخواهند یافت؛ | 28 |
then you'll call out to me for help, but I won't answer; you'll search hard for me, but won't find me.
| زیرا از دانایی متنفر بوده‌اند و از خداوند اطاعت نکرده‌اند. | 29 |
Why?—because they hated knowledge, and they didn't choose to respect the Lord.
| نصیحت مرا گوش نگرفته‌اند و نکوهش مرا نپذیرفته‌اند. | 30 |
They're not willing to accept my advice; they despise all my warnings.
| بنابراین ثمرهٔ راهی را که در پیش گرفته‌اند خواهند دید. | 31 |
So they'll have to eat the fruit of their own choices, bloated by their own devious schemes.
| زیرا سرکشی احمقان، ایشان را خواهد کشت و بی‌خیالی نادانان آنها را از پای در خواهد آورد. | 32 |
Stupid people are killed by their rebellion; foolish people are destroyed by their lack of concern.
| ولی همهٔ کسانی که به من گوش دهند، از هیچ بلایی نخواهند ترسید و در امنیت زندگی خواهند کرد.» | 33 |
But everyone who listens to me will be kept safe, and will live without worrying about problems.”
