| خداوند به موسی فرمود: | 1 |
And Yahweh spake unto Moses saying:
| «به هارون بگو که وقتی چراغها را در چراغدان می‌گذارد طوری باشد که نور هفت چراغ، جلوی چراغدان بتابد.» | 2 |
Speak unto Aaron, and thou shalt say unto him, —When thou lightest up the lamps, over against the front of the lampstand, shall the seven lamps give light.
| پس هارون همین کار را کرد. او چراغها را طوری کار گذاشت که نور آنها جلوی چراغدان بتابد، همان‌طور که خداوند به موسی فرمان داده بود. | 3 |
And Aaron did so, over against the front of the lampstand, lighted he up the lamps thereof, —As Yahweh commanded Moses,
| چراغدان از تزیینات پایه گرفته تا شاخه‌هایش تمام از طلا ساخته شده بود. این چراغدان دقیقاً طبق همان طرحی ساخته شده بود که خداوند به موسی نشان داده بود. | 4 |
Now, this, was the work of the lampstand—beaten work of gold both in the shaft thereof and in the flowers thereof, was it beaten work, according to the appearance which Yahweh caused to appear unto Moses, so, made he the lampstand.
| سپس خداوند به موسی فرمود: | 5 |
And Yahweh spake unto Moses, saying:
| «اکنون لاویان را از بقیهٔ قوم اسرائیل جدا کن و آنها را تطهیر نما. | 6 |
Take the Levites, out of the midst of the sons of Israel, —and thou shalt purify them.
| این عمل را با پاشیدن آب طهارت بر آنها شروع نموده، سپس به آنان بگو که تمام موی بدن خود را تراشیده، لباسهایشان را بشویند و این‌گونه خود را تطهیر کنند. | 7 |
And, thus, shalt thou do unto them, to purify them, sprinkle upon them sin-cleansing water, —then shall they, cause a razor to pass over all their flesh, and shall wash their clothes and so make themselves pure.
| از ایشان بخواه که یک گوسالۀ نر و هدیهٔ آردی آن را که از آرد مرغوب مخلوط با روغن تهیه شده با یک گوسالۀ نر دیگر برای قربانی گناه بیاورند. | 8 |
Then shall they take a choice young bullock, with the meal-offering thereof even fine meal overflowed with oil, —and a second choice young bullock, shalt thou take. as a sin-bearer.
| بعد در حضور همۀ جماعت اسرائیل، لاویان را به کنار در خیمهٔ ملاقات بیاور. | 9 |
Then shalt thou bring the Levites near, before the tent of meeting, —and shalt call together all the assembly of the sons of Israel;
| پس لاویان را به حضور خداوند بیاور و بنی‌اسرائیل دستهای خود را روی سر آنها بگذارند، | 10 |
and shalt bring the Levites near before Yahweh, —and the sons of Israel shall lean their hands upon the Levites;
| و هارون آنان را به جای تمام قوم اسرائیل به عنوان هدیهٔ مخصوص، وقف خداوند نماید تا لاویان به جای تمامی قوم، خداوند را خدمت کنند. | 11 |
and Aaron shall offer the Levites as a wave-offering before Yahweh, from among the sons of Israel, —so shall they be for performing the laborious work of Yahweh.
| «سپس لاویان دستهای خود را بر سر گاوها بگذارند، و تو یکی را به‌عنوان قربانی گناه و دیگری را به‌عنوان قربانی سوختنی به حضور خداوند تقدیم کن تا برای لاویان کفاره شود. | 12 |
And, the Levites, shall lean their hands upon the head of the bullocks; then make thou of the one a sin-bearer and of the other an ascending-sacrifice unto Yahweh, to put a propitiatory-covering over the Levites.
| آنگاه لاویان باید به عنوان هدیهٔ مخصوص به خداوند تقدیم شده توسط هارون و پسرانش به خدمت گماشته شوند. | 13 |
Thus shalt thou cause the Levites to stand before Aaron and before his sons, —thus shalt thou offer them as a wave-offering unto Yahweh;
| به این طریق، لاویان را از میان بقیهٔ قوم اسرائیل جدا کن و ایشان از آن من خواهند بود. | 14 |
thus shalt thou separate the Levites out of the midst of the sons of Israel, —thus shall the Levites become mine.
| پس از آنکه لاویان را به این ترتیب تطهیر و وقف نمودی، ایشان خدمت خود را در خیمهٔ ملاقات آغاز خواهند کرد. | 15 |
And after that, shall the Levites enter to do the labour of the tent of meeting, —so shalt thou purify them, and offer them as a wave-offering,
| «لاویان از میان تمام قوم اسرائیل به من تعلق دارند و من آنها را به جای همهٔ پسران ارشد بنی‌اسرائیل قبول کرده‌ام؛ | 16 |
For, given, given, they are unto me, out of the midst of the sons of Israel, —instead of every firstborn that a mother beareth from among the sons of Israel, have I taken them unto me.
| زیرا همۀ نخست‌زادگان در میان قوم اسرائیل، خواه انسان و خواه حیوان، به من تعلق دارند. همان شبی که نخست‌زادگان مصری‌ها را کشتم اینها را به خود اختصاص دادم. | 17 |
For mine, is every firstborn among the sons of Israel, among men and among beasts, —on the day when I smote every firstborn in the land of Egypt, did I hallow them unto me.
| آری، من لاویان را به جای تمام نخست‌زادگان بنی‌اسرائیل پذیرفته‌ام | 18 |
Therefore have I taken the Levites, —instead of every firstborn among the sons of Israel;
| و من لاویان را به هارون و پسرانش هدیه می‌کنم. لاویان باید وظایف مقدّسی را که بر عهدهٔ قوم اسرائیل می‌باشد، در خیمهٔ ملاقات انجام داده، قربانیهای قوم را تقدیم نمایند و برای ایشان کفاره کنند تا وقتی بنی‌اسرائیل به قدس نزدیک می‌شوند بلایی بر سر آنها نیاید.» | 19 |
therefore have I given the Levites as a gift unto Aaron and unto his sons, out of the midst of the sons of Israel, to do the laborious work of the sons of Israel in the tent of meeting, and to put a propitiatory-covering over the sons of Israel, —so shall there be among the sons of Israel, no plague, by the coming nigh of the sons of Israel unto the sanctuary.
| پس موسی و هارون و قوم اسرائیل با پیروی دقیق از دستورهایی که خداوند به موسی داده بود، لاویان را وقف نمودند. | 20 |
And Moses and Aaron and all the assembly of the sons of Israel did thus unto the Levites, —according to all that Yahweh commanded Moses as touching the Levites, so, did the sons of Israel unto them.
| لاویان خود را طاهر ساخته، لباسهایشان را شستند و هارون آنان را به عنوان هدیهٔ مخصوص به خداوند تقدیم نمود. بعد به منظور تطهیر نمودن لاویان برای ایشان مراسم کفاره را بجا آورد. | 21 |
And the Levites accepted the cleansing from sin and washed their clothes, and Aaron offered them as a wave-offering before Yahweh, —and Aaron put a propitiatory-covering over them to make them pure.
| همه چیز درست طبق دستورهایی که خداوند به موسی داده بود، انجام گردید و به این ترتیب لاویان به عنوان دستیاران هارون و پسرانش، آمادهٔ خدمت در خیمهٔ ملاقات شدند. | 22 |
And after that, went the Levites in to do their laborious work in the tent of meeting, before Aaron and before his sons, —as Yahweh commanded Moses concerning the Levites, so, did they unto them.
| خداوند همچنین به موسی فرمود: | 23 |
And Yahweh spake unto Moses saying;
| «لاویان باید خدمت در خیمۀ ملاقات را از سن بیست و پنج سالگی یا بالاتر شروع کنند | 24 |
This is what concerneth the Levites, —from twenty-five years old and upwards, shall they enter to take rank in the host, for doing the laborious work of the tent of meeting;
| و در سن پنجاه سالگی بازنشسته شوند. | 25 |
but from the age of fifty years, shall they retire from taking rank in the labour, and shall do laborious work no more;
| پس از بازنشستگی می‌توانند در خیمهٔ ملاقات، برادران خود را در انجام وظایفشان یاری دهند، ولی خود، مستقیم مسئولیتی نخواهند داشت. به این ترتیب وظایف لاویان را به ایشان محول کن.» | 26 |
yet shall they wait upon their brethren in the tent of meeting, by keeping charge, but laborious work, shall they not perform, —thus, shalt thou do unto the Levites, as touching their charges.
