| خداوند به موسی فرمود: | 1 |
And the LORD spoke unto Moses, saying:
| «دو شیپور از نقره چکش‌کاری شده درست کن و آنها را برای جمع کردن قوم اسرائیل و نیز برای کوچ دادن اردو به کار ببر. | 2 |
'Make thee two trumpets of silver; of beaten work shalt thou make them; and they shall be unto thee for the calling of the congregation, and for causing the camps to set forward.
| هر وقت هر دو شیپور نواخته شوند، قوم بدانند که باید دم مدخل خیمهٔ ملاقات جمع شوند. | 3 |
And when they shall blow with them, all the congregation shall gather themselves unto thee at the door of the tent of meeting.
| ولی اگر یک شیپور نواخته شود، آنگاه فقط سران قبایل اسرائیل پیش تو بیایند. | 4 |
And if they blow but with one, then the princes, the heads of the thousands of Israel, shall gather themselves unto thee.
| «وقتی شیپور کوچ نواخته شود، قبیله‌هایی که در سمت شرقی خیمهٔ عبادت چادر زده‌اند باید حرکت کنند. | 5 |
And when ye blow an alarm, the camps that lie on the east side shall take their journey.
| بار دوم که شیپور نواخته شود، قبیله‌های سمت جنوب راه بیفتند. برای کوچاندن قوم باید شیپور را با صدای تیز نواخت. | 6 |
And when ye blow an alarm the second time, the camps that lie on the south side shall set forward; they shall blow an alarm for their journeys.
| اما وقتی برای جمع کردن جماعت شیپور را می‌نوازید باید با صدایی دیگر بنوازید. | 7 |
But when the assembly is to be gathered together, ye shall blow, but ye shall not sound an alarm.
| فقط کاهنان نسل هارون مجازند شیپور بنوازند. این یک حکم دائمی است که باید نسل اندر نسل آن را بجا آورند. | 8 |
And the sons of Aaron, the priests, shall blow with the trumpets; and they shall be to you for a statute for ever throughout your generations.
| «وقتی در سرزمین موعود، دشمن به شما حمله کند و شما در دفاع از خود با آنها وارد جنگ شوید، شیپورها را بلند بنوازید تا یهوه خدایتان شما را به یاد آورد و از چنگ دشمنانتان نجات دهد. | 9 |
And when ye go to war in your land against the adversary that oppresseth you, then ye shall sound an alarm with the trumpets; and ye shall be remembered before the LORD your God, and ye shall be saved from your enemies.
| در روزهای شاد خود نیز این شیپورها را بنوازید، یعنی در موقع برگزاری عیدها و اول هر ماه که قربانیهای سوختنی و قربانیهای سلامتی تقدیم می‌کنید و من شما را به یاد خواهم آورد. من خداوند، خدای شما هستم.» | 10 |
Also in the day of your gladness, and in your appointed seasons, and in your new moons, ye shall blow with the trumpets over your burnt-offerings, and over the sacrifices of your peace-offerings; and they shall be to you for a memorial before your God: I am the LORD your God.'
| در روز بیستم ماه دوم از سال دوم، بعد از بیرون آمدن بنی‌اسرائیل از مصر، ابر از بالای خیمهٔ عبادت حرکت نمود. | 11 |
And it came to pass in the second year, in the second month, on the twentieth day of the month, that the cloud was taken up from over the tabernacle of the testimony.
| پس قوم اسرائیل از صحرای سینا کوچ کرده، به دنبال ابر به راه افتادند تا اینکه ابر در صحرای فاران از حرکت بازایستاد. | 12 |
And the children of Israel set forward by their stages out of the wilderness of Sinai; and the cloud abode in the wilderness of Paran. —
| پس از آنکه موسی دستورهای خداوند را در مورد کوچ قوم دریافت کرد این نخستین سفر ایشان بود. | 13 |
And they took their first journey, according to the commandment of the LORD by the hand of Moses.
| سربازان قبیلهٔ یهودا زیر پرچم بخش خود به رهبری نحشون پسر عمیناداب، پیشاپیش قوم اسرائیل حرکت می‌کردند. | 14 |
And in the first place the standard of the camp of the children of Judah set forward according to their hosts; and over his host was Nahshon the son of Amminadab.
| پشت سر آنها، سربازان قبیلهٔ یساکار به رهبری نتنائیل پسر صوعَر در حرکت بودند | 15 |
And over the host of the tribe of the children of Issachar was Nethanel the son of Zuar.
| و بعد از آنها سربازان قبیلهٔ زبولون به رهبری الیاب پسر حیلون. | 16 |
And over the host of the tribe of the children of Zebulun was Eliab the son of Helon.
| مردان بنی‌جرشون و بنی‌مراری از قبیلهٔ لاوی، خیمهٔ عبادت را که جمع شده بود بر دوش گذاشتند و به دنبال قبیلهٔ زبولون به راه افتادند. | 17 |
And the tabernacle was taken down; and the sons of Gershon and the sons of Merari, who bore the tabernacle, set forward.
| پشت سر آنها، سربازان قبیلهٔ رئوبین زیر پرچم بخش خود به رهبری الیصور پسر شدیئور حرکت می‌کردند. | 18 |
And the standard of the camp of Reuben set forward according to their hosts; and over his host was Elizur the son of Shedeur.
| در صف بعدی، سربازان قبیلهٔ شمعون به رهبری شلومی‌ئیل پسر صوریشدای | 19 |
And over the host of the tribe of the children of Simeon was Shelumiel the son of Zurishaddai.
| و پس از آنها، سربازان قبیلهٔ جاد به رهبری الیاساف پسر دعوئیل قرار داشتند. | 20 |
And over the host of the tribe of the children of Gad was Eliasaph the son of Deuel.
| به دنبال آنها بنی‌قهات که اسباب و لوازم قدس را حمل می‌کردند در حرکت بودند. (بر پا سازی خیمهٔ عبادت در جایگاه جدید می‌بایستی پیش از رسیدن قهاتیان انجام می‌شد.) | 21 |
And the Kohathites the bearers of the sanctuary set forward, that the tabernacle might be set up against their coming.
| در صف بعدی سربازان قبیلهٔ افرایم بودند که زیر پرچم بخش خود به رهبری الیشمع پسر عمیهود حرکت می‌کردند. | 22 |
And the standard of the camp of the children of Ephraim set forward according to their hosts; and over his host was Elishama the son of Ammihud.
| قبیلهٔ منسی به رهبری جملی‌ئیل پسر فدهصور | 23 |
And over the host of the tribe of the children of Manasseh was Gamaliel the son of Pedahzur.
| و قبیلهٔ بنیامین به رهبری ابیدان پسر جدعونی پشت سر آنها بودند. | 24 |
And over the host of the tribe of the children of Benjamin was Abidan the son of Gideoni.
| آخر از همه، سربازان قبایل بخش دان زیر پرچم خود حرکت می‌کردند. سربازان قبیلهٔ دان به رهبری اخیعزر پسر عمیشدای، | 25 |
And the standard of the camp of the children of Dan, which was the rearward of all the camps, set forward according to their hosts; and over his host was Ahiezer the son of Ammishaddai.
| سربازان قبیلهٔ اشیر به رهبری فجعی‌ئیل پسر عکران، | 26 |
And over the host of the tribe of the children of Asher was Pagiel the son of Ochran.
| و سربازان قبیلهٔ نفتالی به رهبری اخیرع پسر عینان به ترتیب در حرکت بودند. | 27 |
And over the host of the tribe of the children of Naphtali was Ahira the son of Enan.
| این بود ترتیب حرکت قبیله‌های اسرائیل با سربازانشان در هنگام کوچ کردن. | 28 |
Thus were the journeyings of the children of Israel according to their hosts. — And they set forward.
| روزی موسی به برادر زنش حوباب پسر رعوئیل مدیانی گفت: «ما عازم سرزمینی هستیم که خداوند وعدهٔ آن را به ما داده است. تو هم همراه ما بیا و ما در حق تو نیکی خواهیم کرد، زیرا خداوند وعده‌های عالی به قوم اسرائیل داده است.» | 29 |
And Moses said unto Hobab, the son of Reuel the Midianite, Moses' father-in-law: 'We are journeying unto the place of which the LORD said: I will give it you; come thou with us, and we will do thee good; for the LORD hath spoken good concerning Israel.'
| ولی برادر زنش جواب داد: «نه، من باید به سرزمین خود و نزد خویشانم برگردم.» | 30 |
And he said unto him: 'I will not go; but I will depart to mine own land, and to my kindred.'
| موسی اصرار نموده، گفت: «پیش ما بمان، چون تو این بیابان را خوب می‌شناسی و راهنمای خوبی برای ما خواهی بود. | 31 |
And he said: 'Leave us not, I pray thee; forasmuch as thou knowest how we are to encamp in the wilderness, and thou shalt be to us instead of eyes.
| اگر با ما بیایی، در تمام برکاتی که خداوند به ما می‌دهد شریک خواهی بود.» | 32 |
And it shall be, if thou go with us, yea, it shall be, that what good soever the LORD shall do unto us, the same will we do unto thee.'
| پس از ترک کوه خداوند، مدت سه روز به سفر ادامه دادند در حالی که صندوق عهد پیشاپیش قبایل اسرائیل در حرکت بود تا مکانی برای توقف آنها انتخاب کند. | 33 |
And they set forward from the mount of the LORD three days' journey; and the ark of the covenant of the LORD went before them three days' journey, to seek out a resting-place for them.
| هنگام روز بود که اردوگاه را ترک کردند و سفر خود را در پی حرکت ابر خداوند آغاز نمودند. | 34 |
And the cloud of the LORD was over them by day, when they set forward from the camp.
| هرگاه صندوق عهد به حرکت در می‌آمد موسی ندا سر می‌داد: «برخیز ای خداوند تا دشمنانت پراکنده شوند و خصمانت از حضورت بگریزند.» | 35 |
And it came to pass, when the ark set forward, that Moses said: 'Rise up, O LORD, and let Thine enemies be scattered; and let them that hate Thee flee before Thee.'
| و هرگاه صندوق عهد متوقف می‌شد، موسی می‌گفت: «ای خداوند نزد هزاران هزار اسرائیلی بازگرد.» | 36 |
And when it rested, he said: 'Return, O LORD, unto the ten thousands of the families of Israel.'
