نحمیا 3

1 آنگاه الیاشیب که کاهن اعظم بود به اتفاق کاهنان دیگر، حصار شهر را تا برج صد و برج حنن‌ئیل بازسازی نمودند. سپس دروازه گوسفند را ساختند و درهایش را کار گذاشتند و آن را تقدیس کردند.

Then Eliashib the high priest rose up with his brethren the priests, and they builded the sheep gate; they sanctified it, and set up the doors of it; even unto the tower of Hammeah they sanctified it, unto the tower of Hananel.

2 قسمت دیگر حصار را اهالی اریحا و قسمت بعدی را عده‌ای به سرپرستی زکور (پسر امری) بازسازی کردند.

And next unto him builded the men of Jericho. And next to them builded Zaccur the son of Imri.

3 پسران هسناه دروازهٔ ماهی را بر پا کردند. ایشان تیرها و درهای آن را کار گذاشتند و قفلها و پشت‌بندهایش را وصل کردند.

And the fish gate did the sons of Hassenaah build; they laid the beams thereof, and set up the doors thereof, the bolts thereof, and the bars thereof.

4 مریموت (پسر اوریا و نوه حقوص) قسمت بعدی حصار را تعمیر کرد. در کنار او مشلام (پسر برکیا و نوه مشیزبئیل) و صادوق (پسر بعنا) قسمت دیگر را تعمیر کردند.

And next unto them repaired Meremoth the son of Uriah, the son of Hakkoz. And next unto them repaired Meshullam the son of Berechiah, the son of Meshezabel. And next unto them repaired Zadok the son of Baana.

5 اهالی تقوع قسمت بعدی حصار را بازسازی نمودند، ولی بزرگان ایشان از کارفرمایان اطاعت نکردند و از کار کردن امتناع ورزیدند.

And next unto them the Tekoites repaired; but their nobles put not their necks to the work of their lord.

6 یویاداع (پسر فاسیح) و مشلام (پسر بسودیا) دروازهٔ کُهنه را تعمیر نمودند. ایشان تیرها را نصب کردند، درها را کار گذاشتند و قفلها و پشت‌بندهایش را وصل کردند.

And the old gate repaired Joiada the son of Paseah and Meshullam the son of Besodeiah; they laid the beams thereof, and set up the doors thereof, and the bolts thereof, and the bars thereof.

7 در کنار ایشان ملتیا اهل جبعون، یادون اهل میرونوت و اهالی جبعون و مصفه قسمت بعدی حصار را تا مقر حاکم ناحیهٔ غرب رود فرات تعمیر کردند.

And next unto them repaired Melatiah the Gibeonite, and Jadon the Meronothite, the men of Gibeon, and of Mizpah, [that appertained] to the throne of the governor beyond the River.

8 عزی‌ئیل (پسر حرهایا) که از زرگران بود قسمت بعدی را تعمیر کرد. در کنار او حننیا که از عطاران بود قسمت دیگر حصار را بازسازی نمود. به این ترتیب آنها حصار اورشلیم را تا دیوار عریض تعمیر کردند.

Next unto him repaired Uzziel the son of Harhaiah, goldsmiths. And next unto him repaired Hananiah one of the perfumers, and they fortified Jerusalem even unto the broad wall.

9 قسمت بعدی را رفایا (پسر حور) تعمیر کرد. او شهردار نصف شهر اورشلیم بود.

And next unto them repaired Rephaiah the son of Hur, the ruler of half the district of Jerusalem.

10 یدایا (پسر حروماف) قسمت دیگر حصار را که نزدیک خانه‌اش بود تعمیر کرد. قسمت بعدی را حطوش (پسر حشبنیا) بازسازی نمود.

And next unto them repaired Jedaiah the son of Harumaph, over against his house. And next unto him repaired Hattush the son of Hashabneiah.

11 ملکیا (پسر حاریم) و حشوب (پسر فحت موآب) برج تنورها و قسمت بعدی حصار را تعمیر کردند.

Malchijah the son of Harim, and Hasshub the son of Pahath-moab, repaired another portion, and the tower of the furnaces.

12 شلوم (پسر هلوحیش) و دختران او قسمت بعدی را ساختند. او شهردار نصف دیگر شهر اورشلیم بود.

And next unto him repaired Shallum the son of Hallohesh, the ruler of half the district of Jerusalem, he and his daughters.

13 حانون به اتفاق اهالی زانوح «دروازه دره» را ساخت، درها را کار گذاشت و قفلها و پشت‌بندهایش را وصل کرد؛ سپس پانصد متر از حصار را تا دروازۀ خاکروبه تعمیر نمود.

The valley gate repaired Hanun, and the inhabitants of Zanoah; they built it, and set up the doors thereof, the bolts thereof, and the bars thereof, and a thousand cubits of the wall unto the dung gate.

14 ملکیا (پسر رکاب)، شهردار بیت هکاریم، دروازۀ خاکروبه را تعمیر کرد و درها را کار گذاشت و قفلها و پشت‌بندهایش را وصل کرد.

And the dung gate repaired Malchijah the son of Rechab, the ruler of the district of Beth-haccherem; he built it, and set up the doors thereof, the bolts thereof, and the bars thereof.

15 شلون (پسر کُلحوزه)، شهردار مصفه، دروازهٔ چشمه را تعمیر کرد و تیرها و درها را کار گذاشت و قفلها و پشت‌بندهایش را وصل کرد. سپس حصار را از حوض سیلوحا که کنار باغ پادشاه بود تا پله‌هایی که به بخش شهر داوود می‌رسید، تعمیر کرد.

And the fountain gate repaired Shallun the son of Col-hozeh, the ruler of the district of Mizpah; he built it, and covered it, and set up the doors thereof, the bolts thereof, and the bars thereof, and the wall of the pool of Shelah by the king’s garden, even unto the stairs that go down from the city of David.

16 در کنار او نحمیا (پسر عزبوق)، شهردار نصف شهر بیت‌صور، حصار را تا مقابل آرامگاه داوود و تا مخزن آب و قرارگاه نظامی تعمیر کرد.

After him repaired Nehemiah the son of Azbuk, the ruler of half the district of Beth-zur, unto the place over against the sepulchres of David, and unto the pool that was made, and unto the house of the mighty men.

17 قسمتهای دیگر حصار توسط این لاویان بازسازی شد: رحوم (پسر بانی) قسمتی از حصار را تعمیر کرد. حشبیا شهردار نصف شهر قعیله، قسمت دیگر حصار را که در ناحیه او واقع شده بود بازسازی نمود.

After him repaired the Levites, Rehum the son of Bani. Next unto him repaired Hashabiah, the ruler of half the district of Keilah, for his district.

18 در کنار او بوای (پسر حیناداد) شهردار نصف دیگر قعیله قسمت بعدی را تعمیر نمود.

After him repaired their brethren, Bavvai the son of Henadad, the ruler of half the district of Keilah.

19 قسمت دیگر حصار را عازر (پسر یشوع) که شهردار مصفه بود از روبروی اسلحه‌خانه تا پیچ حصار تعمیر کرد.

And next to him repaired Ezer the son of Jeshua, the ruler of Mizpah, another portion, over against the ascent to the armory at the turning [of the wall].

20 قسمت بعدی را باروک (پسر زبای) از سر پیچ حصار تا دروازهٔ خانه الیاشیب کاهن اعظم بازسازی نمود.

After him Baruch the son of Zabbai earnestly repaired another portion, from the turning [of the wall] unto the door of the house of Eliashib the high priest.

21 مریموت (پسر اوریا و نوه هقوص) قسمت بعدی حصار را از دروازهٔ خانهٔ الیاشیب تا انتهای خانه‌اش تعمیر کرد.

After him repaired Meremoth the son of Uriah the son of Hakkoz another portion, from the door of the house of Eliashib even to the end of the house of Eliashib.

22 قسمتهای دیگر حصار توسط این کاهنان بازسازی شد: کاهنانی که از حومهٔ اورشلیم بودند قسمت بعدی حصار را تعمیر کردند.

And after him repaired the priests, the men of the Plain.

23 بنیامین، حشوب و عزریا (پسر معسیا و نوه عننیا) قسمت دیگر حصار را که مقابل خانه‌شان قرار داشت تعمیر کردند.

After them repaired Benjamin and Hasshub over against their house. After them repaired Azariah the son of Maaseiah the son of Ananiah beside his own house.

24 بنوی (پسر حیناداد) قسمت دیگر حصار را از خانهٔ عزریا تا پیچ حصار تعمیر کرد

After him repaired Binnui the son of Henadad another portion, from the house of Azariah unto the turning [of the wall], and unto the corner.

25 و فالال (پسر اوزای) از پیچ حصار تا برج کاخ بالایی پادشاه که نزدیک حیاط زندان است نوسازی کرد. قسمت بعدی را فدایا (پسر فرعوش) تعمیر نمود.

Palal the son of Uzai [repaired] over against the turning [of the wall], and the tower that standeth out from the upper house of the king, which is by the court of the guard. After him Pedaiah the son of Parosh [repaired].

26 خدمتگزاران خانۀ خدا که در عوفل زندگی می‌کردند، حصار را از مشرق دروازۀ آب تا برج بیرونی تعمیر کردند.

(Now the Nethinim dwelt in Ophel, unto the place over against the water gate toward the east, and the tower that standeth out.)

27 اهالی تقوع حصار را از برج بیرونی تا دیوار عوفل بازسازی کردند.

After him the Tekoites repaired another portion, over against the great tower that standeth out, and unto the wall of Ophel.

28 دسته‌ای از کاهنان نیز قسمتی از حصار را که از «دروازه اسب» شروع می‌شد تعمیر کردند؛ هر یک از ایشان حصار مقابل خانهٔ خود را بازسازی نمودند.

Above the horse gate repaired the priests, every one over against his own house.

29 صادوق (پسر امیر) هم حصار مقابل خانه خود را تعمیر کرد. قسمت بعدی را شمعیا (پسر شکنیا) نگهبان دروازهٔ شرقی، بازسازی نمود.

After them repaired Zadok the son of Immer over against his own house. And after him repaired Shemaiah the son of Shecaniah, the keeper of the east gate.

30 حننیا (پسر شلمیا) و حانون (پسر ششم صالاف)، قسمتهای بعدی را تعمیر کردند، مشلام (پسر برکیا) حصار مقابل خانهٔ خود را بازسازی کرد.

After him repaired Hananiah the son of Shelemiah, and Hanun the sixth son of Zalaph, another portion. After him repaired Meshullam the son of Berechiah over against his chamber.

31 ملکیا که از زرگران بود قسمت بعدی حصار را تا خانه‌های خدمتگزاران خانۀ خدا و خانه‌های تاجران که در مقابل دروازۀ بازرسی قرار داشتند و تا برجی که در پیچ حصار است، تعمیر کرد.

After him repaired Malchijah one of the goldsmiths unto the house of the Nethinim, and of the merchants, over against the gate of Hammiphkad, and to the ascent of the corner.

32 زرگران و تاجران بقیه حصار را تا دروازۀ گوسفند بازسازی نمودند.

And between the ascent of the corner and the sheep gate repaired the goldsmiths and the merchants.
