میکاه 5

1 ای شهر لشکرها، سربازانت را بسیج کن، زیرا محاصره شده‌ای. دشمن با عصای خود به صورت حاکم اسرائیل ضربه خواهند زد.

Nowe assemble thy garisons, O daughter of garisons: he hath layed siege against vs: they shall smite the iudge of Israel with a rod vpon the cheeke.

2 اما تو، ای بیت‌لحم افراته، هر چند که در یهودا روستای کوچکی بیش نیستی با وجود این از تو کسی برای من ظهور خواهد کرد که از ازل بوده است و او قوم من اسرائیل را رهبری خواهد نمود.

And thou Beth-leem Ephrathah art litle to bee among the thousandes of Iudah, yet out of thee shall he come forth vnto me, that shalbe the ruler in Israel: whose goings forth haue bene from the beginning and from euerlasting.

3 پس قوم اسرائیل به دست دشمن تسلیم خواهند شد تا زمانی که زن حامله فرزند خود را به دنیا آورد. آنگاه بقیهٔ قوم اسرائیل که در اسارت هستند باز خواهند گشت و به برادران خود ملحق خواهند شد.

Therefore will he giue them vp, vntill the time that shee which shall beare, shall trauaile: then the remnant of their brethren shall returne vnto the children of Israel.

4 وقتی او بیاید با قوت و جلال خداوند، خدای خود گلهٔ خود را خواهد چرانید. قوم او در امنیت زندگی خواهند کرد، زیرا تمام مردم جهان به عظمت او پی خواهند برد،

And he shall stand, and feed in the strength of the Lord, and in the maiestie of the Name of the Lord his God, and they shall dwel still: for now shall he be magnified vnto the ends of the world.

5 و او صلح و سلامتی به ارمغان خواهد آورد. هنگامی که آشوری‌ها به سرزمین ما هجوم آورده، وارد قلعه‌هایمان شوند، رهبران نیرومند خود را به مقابله با آنها خواهیم فرستاد؛

And hee shall be our peace when Asshur shall come into our lande: when he shall tread in our palaces, then shall we raise against him seuen shepheardes, and eight principall men.

6 و ایشان با شمشیرهای از غلاف کشیده، آشور، سرزمین نمرود را فتح خواهند کرد. زمانی که آشوری‌ها به سرزمین ما حمله‌ور شوند، او ما را از دست ایشان خواهد رهانید.

And they shall destroy Asshur with the sword, and the land of Nimrod with their swordes: thus shall he deliuer vs from Asshur, when hee commeth into our lande, and when he shall tread within our borders.

7 آنگاه بازماندگان اسرائیل برای قومهای بسیار، شبنم و بارانی از جانب خداوند خواهند بود. آنها به خدا اعتماد خواهند داشت نه به انسان.

And the remnant of Iaakob shalbe among many people, as a dewe from the Lord, and as the showres vpon the grasse, that waiteth not for man, nor hopeth in the sonnes of Adam.

8 ایشان در میان قومها و ملتهای بسیار مانند شیری درنده در میان گله‌های گوسفند خواهند بود، که هنگام عبور پایمال می‌کند و می‌درد و کسی نمی‌تواند آنها را برهاند.

And the remnant of Iaakob shalbe among the Gentiles in the middes of many people, as the lyon among the beastes of the forest, and as the lyons whelpe among the flockes of sheepe, who when he goeth thorow, treadeth downe and teareth in pieces, and none can deliuer.

9 قوم اسرائیل در برابر دشمنانش خواهد ایستاد و آنها را نابود خواهد کرد.

Thine hand shall bee lift vp vpon thine aduersaries, and all thine enemies shalbe cut off.

10 خداوند به قوم اسرائیل می‌فرماید: «در آن زمان تمام اسبها و ارابه‌های شما را از بین خواهم برد،

And it shall come to passe in that day, sayth the Lord, that I will cut off thine horses out of the middes of thee, and I will destroy thy charets.

11 شهرهای شما را خراب نموده، همهٔ قلعه‌هایتان را ویران خواهم کرد.

And I will cut off the cities of thy land, and ouerthrowe all thy strong holdes.

12 به جادوگری شما پایان خواهم داد و دیگر فالگیرانی نخواهند بود تا با آنها مشورت کنید.

And I will cut off thine enchanters out of thine hande: and thou shalt haue no more southsayers.

13 تمام بتهای شما را سرنگون خواهم ساخت. دیگر هرگز آنچه را که با دست خود ساخته‌اید عبادت نخواهید کرد.

Thine idoles also will I cut off, and thine images out of the middes of thee: and thou shalt no more worship the woorke of thine hands.

14 بتهایی را که در سرزمین شماست منهدم خواهم کرد و شهرهایتان را با خاک یکسان خواهم نمود.

And I wil plucke vp thy groues out of the middes of thee: so will I destroy thine enemies.

15 «من با خشم و غضب از اقوامی که مرا اطاعت نمی‌کنند انتقام خواهم گرفت.»

And I will execute a vegeance in my wrath and indignation vpon the heathen, which they haue not heard.
