میکاه 4

1 در روزهای آخر، کوهی که خانهٔ خداوند بر آن قرار دارد، بلندترین قلهٔ دنیا محسوب خواهد شد و مردم از سرزمینهای مختلف به آنجا روانه خواهند گردید.

And in the laste of daies the hil of the hous of the Lord schal be maad redi in the cop of hillis, and hiy ouer smale hillis. And puplis schulen flete to him, and many puplis schulen haaste,

2 آنان خواهند گفت: «بیایید به کوه خداوند که خانهٔ خدای اسرائیل بر آن قرار دارد برویم تا او قوانین خود را به ما یاد دهد و ما آنها را اطاعت کنیم.» زیرا خداوند دستورهای خود را در اورشلیم صادر می‌کند.

and shulen seie, Come ye, stie we til to the hil of the Lord, and to the hous of God of Jacob; and he schal teche vs of hise weies, and we schulen go in hise pathis. For lawe schal go out fro Syon, and the word of the Lord fro Jerusalem;

3 خداوند در میان قومها داوری خواهد کرد و به منازعات بین قدرتهای بزرگ در سرزمینهای دور دست خاتمه خواهد داد. ایشان شمشیرهای خود را برای ساختن گاوآهن در هم خواهند شکست، و نیزه‌های خویش را برای تهیۀ اره. قومها دیگر به جان هم نخواهند افتاد و خود را برای جنگ آماده نخواهند کرد.

and he schal deme bitwixe many puplis, and schal chastise stronge folkis til in to fer. And thei schulen bete togidere her swerdis in to scharis, and her speris in to picoisis; a folc schal not take swerd ayens folc, and thei schulen no more lerne for to fiyte.

4 هر کس در خانهٔ خود در صلح و امنیت زندگی خواهد کرد، زیرا چیزی که باعث ترس شود وجود نخواهد داشت. این وعده را خداوند لشکرهای آسمان داده است.

And a man schal sitte vndur his vyneyerd, and vndur his fige tree; and ther schal not be that schal make aferd, for the mouth of the Lord of oostis spak.

5 قومهای جهان خدایان خود را عبادت می‌کنند و از آنها پیروی می‌نمایند، ولی ما تا ابد خداوند، خدای خود را عبادت خواهیم کرد و از او پیروی خواهیم نمود.

For alle puplis schulen go, ech man in the name of his Lord God; but we schulen walke in the name of oure Lord God in to the world, and ouer.

6 خداوند می‌فرماید: «در آن روز قوم بیمار و لنگ خود را که از سرزمین خود رانده شده و تنبیه گشته‌اند، دوباره در وطن خودشان به قدرت خواهم رسانید و از آنها قوم نیرومندی به وجود خواهم آورد، و من تا ابد در اورشلیم بر آنها سلطنت خواهم کرد.

In that dai, seith the Lord, Y schal gadere the haltynge, and Y schal gadere hir that Y castide awei, and whom Y turmentide Y schal coumforte.

And Y schal putte the haltynge in to relifs, ether remenauntis, and hir that trauelide, in a strong folc. And the Lord schal regne on hem in the hil of Sion, fro this now and til in to with outen ende.

8 ای اورشلیم، ای برج دیدبانی خدا، قوت و قدرت سلطنت خود را مثل سابق باز خواهی یافت!»

And thou, `derk tour of the floc of the douyter of Sion, `til to thee he schal come, and the first power schal come, the rewme of the douytir of Jerusalem.

9 ای اورشلیم چرا فریاد برمی‌آوری؟ چرا مثل زنی که می‌زاید، درد می‌کشی؟ آیا به این علّت است که پادشاهی نداری و مشاورانت از بین رفته‌اند؟

Now whi art thou drawun togidere with mournyng? whether a kyng is not to thee, ether thi counselour perischide? for sorowe hath take thee, as a womman trauelinge of child.

10 ای مردم اورشلیم از درد به خود بپیچید و بنالید، چون باید این شهر را ترک کرده، در صحرا زندگی کنید! شما به سرزمین دور دست بابِل تبعید می‌شوید؛ ولی در آنجا من به داد شما می‌رسم و شما را از چنگ دشمن رهایی می‌بخشم.

Thou douyter of Sion, make sorewe, and haaste, as a womman trauelynge of child; for now thou schalt go out of the citee, and schalt dwelle in cuntree, and schalt come `til to Babiloyne; there thou schalt be delyuered, there the Lord schal ayen bie thee, fro the hond of thin enemyes.

11 درست است که قومهای زیادی بر ضد شما برخاسته‌اند و تشنهٔ خون شما هستند و می‌خواهند شما را نابود کنند،

And now many folkis ben gaderid on thee, whiche seien, Be it stonyd, and oure iye biholde in to Sion.

12 ولی آنها از قصد خداوند بی‌اطلاعند و نمی‌دانند که روزی فرا می‌رسد که خداوند آنها را مثل بافه‌ها در خرمنگاه جمع می‌کند.

Forsothe thei knewen not the thouytis of the Lord, and vndurstoden not the councel of hym, for he gaderide hem as the hei of feeld.

13 خداوند می‌فرماید: «ای مردم اورشلیم به پا خیزید و این خرمن را بکوبید. من به شما شاخهای آهنین و سمهای مفرغینن خواهم داد تا قومهای بسیاری را پایمال نمایید و اموالشان را که به زور به چنگ آورده‌اند، به خداوند که مالک تمامی زمین است تقدیم کنید.»

Rise thou, douyter of Sion, and threische, for Y schal putte thin horn of irun, and Y schal putte thi nailis brasun; and thou schalt make lesse, ether waste, many puplis, and schalt sle to the Lord the raueyns of hem, and the strengthe of hem to the Lord of al erthe.
