لوقا 21

1 وقتی عیسی در معبد ایستاده بود و به اطراف نگاه می‌کرد، ثروتمندانی را دید که هدایای خود را در صندوق بِیت‌المال می‌ریختند.

And as he behelde, he sawe the rich men, which cast their giftes into the treasurie.

2 در همان حال بیوه‌زن فقیری نیز آمد و دو سکۀ ناچیز در صندوق انداخت.

And he sawe also a certaine poore widowe which cast in thither two mites:

3 عیسی فرمود: «در واقع این بیوه‌زن فقیر بیشتر از تمام آن ثروتمندان هدیه داده است.

And he sayd, Of a trueth I say vnto you, that this poore widowe hath cast in more then they all.

4 چون آنها قسمت کوچکی از آنچه را که احتیاج نداشتند دادند، ولی این زن فقیر هر چه داشت داد.»

For they all haue of their superfluitie cast into the offerings of God: but she of her penurie hath cast in all the liuing that she had.

5 در این هنگام بعضی از شاگردان عیسی از سنگهای زیبایی که در بنای خانۀ خدا به کار رفته بود و از هدایای گرانبهایی که مردم وقف کرده بودند، تعریف می‌کردند. اما عیسی به ایشان فرمود:

Nowe as some spake of the Temple, how it was garnished with goodly stones, and with consecrate things, he sayd,

6 «روزی فرا می‌رسد که تمام این چیزهایی که می‌بینید، سنگی بر سنگی دیگر باقی نخواهد ماند، بلکه همه زیر و رو خواهد شد.»

Are these ye things that ye looke vpon? the dayes will come wherein a stone shall not be left vpon a stone, that shall not be throwen downe.

7 ایشان با تعجب گفتند: «استاد، این وقایع در چه زمانی روی خواهد داد؟ نشانۀ نزدیک شدن آنها چیست؟»

Then they asked him, saying, Master, but when shall these things be? and what signe shall there be when these things shall come to passe?

8 عیسی در جواب فرمود: «مواظب باشید کسی شما را گمراه نکند. زیرا بسیاری به نام من آمده، خواهند گفت،”من مسیح هستم“و”زمان موعود فرا رسیده است“. اما باور نکنید.

And he sayd, Take heede, that ye be not deceiued: for many will come in my Name, saying, I am Christ, and the time draweth neere: follow ye not them therefore.

9 و هنگامی که خبر جنگها و آشوبها را بشنوید، پریشان نشوید زیرا باید اول چنین وقایعی اتفاق بیفتد، اما به این زودی دنیا به آخر نخواهد رسید.»

And when ye heare of warres and seditions, be not afraid: for these things must first come, but the ende foloweth not by and by.

10 سپس ادامه داد: «قومها و ممالک به هم اعلان جنگ خواهند داد.

Then said hee vnto them, Nation shall rise against nation, and kingdome against kingdome,

11 در جاهای مختلف دنیا، زمین لرزه‌های عظیم، قحطی‌ها و بیماریهای مسری پدید خواهد آمد و در آسمان نیز چیزهای عجیب و هولناک دیده خواهد شد.

And great earthquakes shall be in diuers places, and hunger, and pestilence, and fearefull things, and great signes shall there be from heauen.

12 «اما قبل از این وقایع، دوره آزار و جفا و شکنجه پیش خواهد آمد. شما را به خاطر نام من، به کنیسه‌ها و زندانها خواهند سپرد، و به حضور پادشاهان و والیان خواهند کشاند.

But before all these, they shall lay their hands on you, and persecute you, deliuering you vp to the assemblies, and into prisons, and bring you before Kings and rulers for my Names sake.

13 اما این فرصتی خواهد بود تا دربارۀ من شهادت دهید.

And this shall turne to you, for a testimoniall.

14 پس پیشاپیش نگران نباشید که چگونه از خود دفاع کنید،

Lay it vp therefore in your heartes, that ye cast not before hand, what ye shall answere.

15 زیرا به شما خواهم آموخت که چه بگویید، به طوری که هیچ‌یک از دشمنانتان، یارای پاسخگویی و ایستادگی در مقابل شما را نخواهند داشت!

For I will giue you a mouth and wisdome, where against all your aduersaries shall not be able to speake, nor resist.

16 پدر و مادر و برادران و بستگان و دوستانتان به شما خیانت خواهند کرد و شما را تسلیم دشمن خواهند کرد؛ و برخی از شما کشته خواهید شد؛

Yea, ye shalbe betrayed also of your parents, and of your brethren, and kinsmen, and friendes, and some of you shall they put to death.

17 تمام مردم دنیا به خاطر نام من از شما متنفر خواهند شد.

And ye shall bee hated of all men for my Names sake.

18 اما مویی از سر شما گُم نخواهد شد!

Yet there shall not one heare of your heads perish.

19 اگر تا به آخر تحمل کنید، جانهای خود را نجات خواهید داد.

By your patience possesse your soules.

20 «اما هرگاه دیدید که اورشلیم به محاصره دشمن درآمده، بدانید که زمان نابودی آن فرا رسیده است.

And when ye see Hierusalem besieged with souldiers, then vnderstand that the desolation thereof is neere.

21 آنگاه کسانی که در یهودیه هستند، به تپه‌های اطراف فرار کنند و آنانی که در اورشلیم هستند از شهر بیرون بروند و کسانی که در بیرون شهر هستند، به شهر باز نگردند.

Then let them which are in Iudea, flee to the mountaines: and let them which are in the middes thereof, depart out: and let not them that are in the countrey, enter therein.

22 زیرا آن زمان، هنگام مجازات خواهد بود، روزهایی که تمام هشدارهای انبیا تحقق خواهند یافت.

For these be the dayes of vengeance, to fulfill all things that are written.

23 وای به حال زنانی که در آن زمان آبستن باشند یا کودک شیرخوار داشته باشند. زیرا این قوم دچار مصیبت سختی شده، خشم و غضب خدا بر آنان عارض خواهد شد؛

But woe be to them that be with childe, and to them that giue sucke in those dayes: for there shalbe great distresse in this land, and wrath ouer this people.

24 ایشان به دم شمشیر خواهند افتاد و یا اسیر شده، به سرزمینهای بیگانه تبعید خواهند گشت. اورشلیم نیز به دست بیگانگان افتاده، پایمال خواهد شد تا زمانی که دوره تسلط بیگانگان به پایان رسد.

And they shall fall on the edge of the sword, and shalbe led captiue into all nations, and Hierusalem shalbe troden vnder foote of the Gentiles, vntill the time of the Gentiles be fulfilled.

25 «آنگاه در آسمان اتفاقات عجیبی خواهد افتاد و در خورشید و ماه و ستارگان، علائم هولناکی دیده خواهد شد. بر روی زمین، قومها از غرش دریاها و خروش امواج آن، آشفته و پریشان خواهند شد.

Then there shalbe signes in the sunne, and in the moone, and in the starres, and vpon the earth trouble among the nations with perplexitie: the sea and the waters shall roare.

26 بسیاری از تصور سرنوشت هولناکی که در انتظار دنیاست، ضعف خواهند کرد؛ زیرا نیروهایی که زمین را نگاه داشته‌اند، به لرزه در خواهند آمد.

And mens hearts shall faile them for feare, and for looking after those thinges which shall come on the worlde: for the powers of heauen shall be shaken.

27 آنگاه تمام مردم روی زمین پسر انسان را خواهند دید که در ابری، با قدرت و شکوه عظیم می‌آید.

And then shall they see the Sonne of man come in a cloude, with power and great glory.

28 پس وقتی این رویدادها آغاز می‌شوند، بایستید و به بالا نگاه کنید، زیرا نجات شما نزدیک است!»

And when these things beginne to come to passe, then looke vp, and lift vp your heades: for your redemption draweth neere.

29 سپس این مثل را برایشان زد: «درخت انجیر یا سایر درختان را بنگرید.

And he spake to them a parable, Behold, the figge tree, and all trees,

30 وقتی شکوفه می‌کنند، بی‌آنکه کسی به شما بگوید، می‌فهمید تابستان نزدیک است.

When they nowe shoote foorth, ye seeing them, knowe of your owne selues, that sommer is then neere.

31 همین‌طور نیز وقتی تمام این نشانه‌ها را ببینید، بدانید که به‌زودی ملکوت خدا آغاز خواهد شد.

So likewise yee, when yee see these thinges come to passe, knowe ye that the kingdome of God is neere.

32 «براستی به شما می‌گویم که تا این چیزها اتفاق نیفتد، این نسل از میان نخواهد رفت.

Verely I say vnto you, This age shall not passe, till all these things be done:

33 آسمان و زمین از بین خواهند رفت، اما کلام من هرگز زایل نخواهد شد.

Heauen and earth shall passe away, but my wordes shall not passe away.

34 «پس مراقب باشید! نگذارید پرخوری، میگساری و غم و غصه‌های زندگی، دلتان را سنگین سازد و آن روز مانند دامی شما را غافلگیر کند.

Take heede to your selues, lest at any time your hearts be oppressed with surfeting and drunkennesse, and cares of this life, and least that day come on you at vnwares.

35 زیرا آن روز بر همۀ مردم جهان خواهد آمد.

For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth.

36 پس هر لحظه مراقب باشید و همیشه دعا کنید تا از این رویدادهای وحشتناک در امان بوده، در حضور پسر انسان بایستید.»

Watche therefore, and pray continually, that ye may be counted worthy to escape all these thinges that shall come to passe, and that ye may stand before the Sonne of man.

37 به این ترتیب، او هر روز در معبد به تعلیم مردم می‌پرداخت و هنگام عصر نیز از شهر خارج شده، شب را در کوه زیتون به صبح می‌رساند.

Nowe in the day time hee taught in the Temple, and at night hee went out, and abode in the mount that is called the mount of Oliues.

38 مردم نیز از صبح زود برای شنیدن سخنانش در معبد جمع می‌شدند.

And all the people came in the morning to him, to heare him in the Temple.
