| من کسی هستم که از خشم و غضب خدا مصیبتها دیده‌ام. | 1 |
[ALEPH-BET] I [am] the man [who] has seen affliction By the rod of His wrath.
| خدا مرا به اعماق تاریکی کشانده است. | 2 |
He has led me, and causes to go [in] darkness, and without light.
| او بر ضد من برخاسته و دستش تمام روز بر من بلند است. | 3 |
Surely against me He turns back, He turns His hand all the day.
| او گوشت و پوست بدنم را فرسوده و استخوانهایم را شکسته است. | 4 |
He has worn out my flesh and my skin. He has broken my bones.
| جان مرا با تلخی و مشقت پوشانده است. | 5 |
He has built up against me, And sets around poverty and weariness.
| مرا مانند کسی که سالهاست مرده، در تاریکی نشانده است. | 6 |
In dark places He has caused me to dwell, As the dead of old.
| با زنجیرهای سنگین مرا بسته و دورم را حصار کشیده است تا نتوانم فرار کنم. | 7 |
He has hedged me in, and I do not go out, He has made heavy my chain.
| فریاد برمی‌آورم و کمک می‌طلبم، ولی او به دادم نمی‌رسد. | 8 |
Also when I call and cry out, He has shut out my prayer.
| با دیوارهای سنگی راه مرا بسته است و طریق مرا پر پیچ و خم نموده است. | 9 |
He has hedged my ways with hewn work, My paths He has made crooked.
| او همچون خرسی در کمین من نشست و مانند شیر بر من هجوم آورد؛ | 10 |
A bear lying in wait He [is] to me, A lion in secret hiding places.
| مرا از راهم بیرون کشیده، پاره‌پاره‌ام کرد و تنها و بی‌کس رهایم ساخت. | 11 |
My ways He is turning aside, and He pulls me in pieces, He has made me a desolation.
| او کمانش را کشید و مرا هدف قرار داد، | 12 |
He has bent His bow, And sets me up as a mark for an arrow.
| و تیرهایش به اعماق قلبم فرو رفت. | 13 |
He has caused to enter into my reins The sons of His quiver.
| مردم تمام روز به من می‌خندند و مرا مسخره می‌کنند. | 14 |
I have been a derision to all my people, Their song all the day.
| او زندگی را به کامم تلخ کرده است. | 15 |
He has filled me with bitter things, He has filled me [with] wormwood.
| صورتم را به خاک مالیده است و دهانم را از سنگریزه پر کرده و دندانهایم را شکسته است. | 16 |
And He breaks with gravel my teeth, He has covered me with ashes.
| آسایش و سعادت از من رخت بربسته است. | 17 |
And You cast off my soul from peace, I have forgotten prosperity.
| رمق و امیدی برایم نمانده، زیرا خداوند مرا ترک گفته است. | 18 |
And I say, My strength and my hope have perished from YHWH.
| وقتی مصیبت و سرگردانی خود را به یاد می‌آورم، جانم تلخ می‌گردد. | 19 |
Remember my affliction and my mourning, Wormwood and gall!
| بله، آنها را دائم به یاد می‌آورم و وجودم پریشان می‌شود. | 20 |
Remember well, and my soul bows down in me.
| اما نور امیدی بر قلبم می‌تابد، وقتی به یاد می‌آورم که | 21 |
This I turn to my heart—therefore I hope.
| محبت خداوند بی‌انتهاست و رحمت او بی‌زوال. | 22 |
The kindnesses of YHWH! For we have not been consumed, For His mercies have not ended.
| وفاداری خدا عظیم است و رحمت او هر بامداد از نو آغاز می‌شود. | 23 |
New every morning, abundant [is] Your faithfulness.
| به خود می‌گویم: «من فقط خداوند را دارم، پس به او امید خواهم بست.» | 24 |
My portion [is] YHWH, my soul has said, Therefore I hope for Him.
| خداوند برای کسانی که به او توکل دارند و او را می‌طلبند نیکوست. | 25 |
YHWH [is] good to those waiting for Him, To the soul [that] seeks Him.
| پس خوبست که چشم امیدمان به او باشد و با صبر منتظر باشیم تا خداوند ما را نجات دهد. | 26 |
[It is] good when one stays and stands still For the salvation of YHWH.
| خوب است انسان در جوانی بیاموزد که سختیها را تحمل کند. | 27 |
[It is] good for a man that he bears a yoke in his youth.
| هنگامی که او دچار مصیبت می‌گردد بهتر آنست که در سکوت و تنهایی بنشیند | 28 |
He sits alone, and is silent, For He has laid [it] on him.
| و در برابر خداوند سر تعظیم فرود آورد، زیرا ممکن است امیدی باشد. | 29 |
He puts his mouth in the dust, if so be, there is hope.
| وقتی او را می‌زنند و اهانت می‌کنند خوب است آنها را تحمل کند، | 30 |
He gives to his striker the cheek, He is filled with reproach.
| زیرا خداوند تا ابد او را ترک نخواهد کرد. | 31 |
For the Lord does not cast off for all time.
| هر چند خدا کسی را اندوهگین کند، اما رحمتش شامل حال او خواهد شد، زیرا محبت او عظیم است. | 32 |
For though He afflicted, yet He has pitied, According to the abundance of His kindness.
| او از آزردن و غمگین ساختن انسان خشنود نمی‌گردد. | 33 |
For He has not afflicted with His heart, Nor does He grieve the sons of men.
| هنگامی که ستمدیدگان جهان زیر پا له می‌شوند، | 34 |
To bruise under one’s feet any bound ones of earth,
| و زمانی که حق انسانی که خدای متعال آن را به وی داده است، پایمال می‌گردد، | 35 |
To turn aside the judgment of a man, Before the face of the Most High,
| و هنگامی که مظلومی در دادگاه محکوم می‌شود، آیا خداوند اینها را نمی‌بیند؟ | 36 |
To subvert a man in his cause, the Lord has not approved.
| کیست که بتواند بدون اجازهٔ خداوند چیزی بگوید و واقع شود؟ | 37 |
Who [is] this—he has spoken, and it is, [And] the Lord has not commanded [it]?
| آیا هم مصیبت و هم برکت از جانب خدای متعال نازل نمی‌شود؟ | 38 |
From the mouth of the Most High does not go forth the evils and the good.
| پس چرا وقتی ما انسانهای فانی به سبب گناهانمان تنبیه می‌شویم، گله و شکایت می‌کنیم؟ | 39 |
Why does a living man sigh habitually, A man for his sin?
| به جای گله و شکایت بیایید کردار خود را بسنجیم و بیازماییم و به سوی خداوند بازگردیم. | 40 |
We search our ways, and investigate, And turn back to YHWH.
| بیایید قلبهای خود را برای خدایی که در آسمان است بگشاییم و دستهای خود را به سوی او برافرازیم و بگوییم: | 41 |
We lift up our heart on the hands to God in the heavens.
| «ما گناه کرده‌ایم و سرکش شده‌ایم، و تو ما را نیامرزیده‌ای. | 42 |
We have transgressed and been rebellious, You have not forgiven.
| «به هنگام خشم خود ما را تعقیب نموده و هلاک کرده‌ای و رحم ننموده‌ای. | 43 |
You have covered Yourself with anger, And pursue us; You have slain—You have not pitied.
| خود را با ابر پوشانیده‌ای تا دعاهای ما به حضور تو نرسد. | 44 |
You have covered Yourself with a cloud, So that prayer does not pass through.
| ما را مثل خاکروبه و زباله به میان قومها انداخته‌ای. | 45 |
Outcast and refuse You make us In the midst of the peoples.
| تمام دشمنانمان به ما توهین می‌کنند. | 46 |
Opened against us their mouth have all our enemies.
| خرابی و نابودی دامنگیر ما شده و در ترس و خطر زندگی می‌کنیم.» | 47 |
Fear and a snare has been for us, Desolation and destruction.
| به سبب نابودی قومم، روز و شب سیل اشک از چشمانم جاریست. آنقدر خواهم گریست | 48 |
Streams of water go down my eye, For the destruction of the daughter of my people.
| 49 |
My eye is poured out, And does not cease without intermission,
| تا خداوند از آسمان نظر کند و پاسخ دهد! | 50 |
Until YHWH looks and sees from the heavens,
| هنگامی که می‌بینم چه بر سر مردم اورشلیم آمده است، دلم از اندوه پر می‌شود. | 51 |
My eye affects my soul, Because of all the daughters of my city.
| کسانی که هرگز آزارشان نداده بودم، دشمن من شدند و مرا همچون پرنده‌ای به دام انداختند. | 52 |
Hunting—my enemies have hunted me without cause like the bird.
| آنها مرا در چاه افکندند و سر چاه را با سنگ پوشاندند. | 53 |
They have cut off my life in a pit, And they cast a stone against me.
| آب از سرم گذشت و فکر کردم مرگم حتمی است. | 54 |
Waters have flowed over my head, I have said, I have been cut off.
| اما ای خداوند، وقتی از عمق چاه نام تو را خواندم | 55 |
I called Your Name, O YHWH, from the lower pit.
| صدایم را شنیدی و به ناله‌هایم توجه کردی. | 56 |
You have heard my voice, do not hide Your ear at my breathing—at my cry.
| آری، هنگامی که تو را خواندم به کمکم آمدی و گفتی: «نترس!» | 57 |
You have drawn near in the day I call You, You have said, Do not fear.
| ای خداوند، تو به دادم رسیدی و جانم را از مرگ رهایی بخشیدی. | 58 |
You have pleaded, O Lord, the pleadings of my soul, You have redeemed my life.
| ای خداوند، تو ظلمی را که به من کرده‌اند دیده‌ای، پس داوری کن و داد مرا بستان. | 59 |
You have seen, O YHWH, my overthrow, Judge my cause.
| دیده‌ای که چگونه ایشان دشمن من شده و توطئه‌ها بر ضد من چیده‌اند. | 60 |
You have seen all their vengeance, All their thoughts of me.
| ای خداوند، تو شنیده‌ای که چگونه به من اهانت کرده و علیه من نقشه کشیده‌اند. | 61 |
You have heard their reproach, O YHWH, All their thoughts against me,
| تو از تمام آنچه که مخالفانم هر روز درباره من می‌گویند و نقشه‌هایی که می‌کشند باخبری. | 62 |
The lips of my withstanders, Even their meditation against me all the day.
| ببین چگونه می‌خندند و شب و روز مرا مسخره می‌کنند. | 63 |
Their sitting down, and their rising up, Behold attentively, I [am] their song.
| ای خداوند، ایشان را به سزای اعمالشان برسان. | 64 |
You return to them the deed, O YHWH, According to the work of their hands.
| ایشان را لعنت کن تا غم و تاریکی وجودشان را فرا گیرد. | 65 |
You give to them a covered heart, Your curse to them.
| با خشم و غضب آنها را تعقیب کن و از روی زمین محو و نابود گردان. | 66 |
You pursue in anger, and destroy them, From under the heavens of YHWH!
