یوشع 1
| خداوند پس از مرگ خدمتگزار خود، موسی، به دستیار او یوشع (پسر نون) فرمود: | 1 |
Now after the death of Moses the servant of the LORD it came to pass, that the LORD spoke to Joshua the son of Nun, Moses’ minister, saying,
| «خدمتگزار من موسی، در گذشته است، پس تو برخیز و بنی‌اسرائیل را از رود اردن عبور بده و به سرزمینی که به ایشان می‌دهم، برسان. | 2 |
Moses my servant is dead; now therefore arise, go over this Jordan, you, and all this people, to the land which I do give to them, even to the children of Israel.
| همان‌طور که به موسی گفتم، هر جا که قدم بگذارید، آنجا را به تصرف شما در خواهم آورد. | 3 |
Every place that the sole of your foot shall tread on, that have I given to you, as I said to Moses.
| قلمرو سرزمین شما از صحرای نِگِب در جنوب تا کوههای لبنان در شمال، و از دریای مدیترانه در غرب تا رود فرات و سرزمین حیتی‌ها در شرق، خواهد بود. | 4 |
From the wilderness and this Lebanon even to the great river, the river Euphrates, all the land of the Hittites, and to the great sea toward the going down of the sun, shall be your coast.
| همان‌طور که با موسی بودم با تو نیز خواهم بود تا در تمام عمرت کسی نتواند در برابر تو مقاومت کند. تو را هرگز ترک نمی‌کنم و تنها نمی‌گذارم. | 5 |
There shall not any man be able to stand before you all the days of your life: as I was with Moses, so I will be with you: I will not fail you, nor forsake you.
| پس قوی و شجاع باش، زیرا تو این قوم را رهبری خواهی کرد تا سرزمینی را که به پدران ایشان وعده داده‌ام تصاحب نمایند. | 6 |
Be strong and of a good courage: for to this people shall you divide for an inheritance the land, which I swore to their fathers to give them.
| فقط قوی و شجاع باش و از قوانینی که خدمتگزارم موسی به تو داده است اطاعت نما، زیرا اگر از آنها به دقت پیروی کنی، هر جا روی موفق خواهی شد. | 7 |
Only be you strong and very courageous, that you may observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant commanded you: turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may prosper wherever you go.
| این کتاب تورات از تو دور نشود؛ شب و روز آن را بخوان و در گفته‌های آن تفکر کن تا متوجۀ تمام دستورهای آن شده، بتوانی به آنها عمل کنی؛ آنگاه پیروز و کامیاب خواهی شد. | 8 |
This book of the law shall not depart out of your mouth; but you shall meditate therein day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then you shall make your way prosperous, and then you shall have good success.
| آری، قوی و شجاع باش و ترس و واهمه را از خود دور کن و به یاد داشته باش که هر جا بروی من که خداوند، خدای تو هستم، با تو خواهم بود.» | 9 |
Have not I commanded you? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be you dismayed: for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.
| آنگاه یوشع به بزرگان اسرائیل دستور داد: | 10 |
Then Joshua commanded the officers of the people, saying,
| «به میان قوم بروید و به آنها بگویید:”توشهٔ خود را آماده کنید، زیرا پس از سه روز از رود اردن خواهید گذشت تا سرزمینی را که خداوند به میراث به شما داده است تصرف کنید!“» | 11 |
Pass through the host, and command the people, saying, Prepare you victuals; for within three days you shall pass over this Jordan, to go in to possess the land, which the LORD your God gives you to possess it.
| سپس یوشع به قبایل رئوبین، جاد و نصف قبیلهٔ مَنَسی گفت: | 12 |
And to the Reubenites, and to the Gadites, and to half the tribe of Manasseh, spoke Joshua, saying,
| «به یاد آورید دستوری را که موسی، خدمتگزار خداوند به شما داد:”خداوند، خدای شما این سرزمین را که در شرق رود اردن است به شما می‌دهد تا در آن آسایش داشته باشید.“ | 13 |
Remember the word which Moses the servant of the LORD commanded you, saying, The LORD your God has given you rest, and has given you this land.
| پس زنان و فرزندان و حیوانات شما در اینجا در سرزمینی که موسی در شرق اردن به شما داد، می‌مانند. اما مردان جنگی شما باید همگی مسلح شده، پیشاپیش بقیهٔ قبایل به آن طرف رود اردن بروند و ایشان را یاری دهند | 14 |
Your wives, your little ones, and your cattle, shall remain in the land which Moses gave you on this side Jordan; but you shall pass before your brothers armed, all the mighty men of valor, and help them;
| تا سرزمینی را که خداوند، خدای شما به ایشان داده است تصاحب کنند و در آن ساکن شوند. آنگاه می‌توانید به این ناحیه‌ای که موسی، خدمتگزار خداوند، در سمت شرقی رود اردن برای شما تعیین کرده است بازگردید و در آن ساکن شوید.» | 15 |
Until the LORD have given your brothers rest, as he has given you, and they also have possessed the land which the LORD your God gives them: then you shall return to the land of your possession, and enjoy it, which Moses the LORD’s servant gave you on this side Jordan toward the sun rise.
| آنها در جواب یوشع گفتند: «آنچه به ما گفتی انجام خواهیم داد و هر جا که ما را بفرستی، خواهیم رفت؛ | 16 |
And they answered Joshua, saying, All that you command us we will do, and wherever you send us, we will go.
| چنانکه فرمانبردار موسی بودیم، تو را نیز اطاعت خواهیم نمود. یهوه، خدای تو با تو باشد، چنانکه با موسی بود. | 17 |
According as we listened to Moses in all things, so will we listen to you: only the LORD your God be with you, as he was with Moses.
| اگر کسی از فرمان تو سرپیچی کند و از تو اطاعت ننماید، کشته خواهد شد. پس قوی و شجاع باش!» | 18 |
Whoever he be that does rebel against your commandment, and will not listen to your words in all that you command him, he shall be put to death: only be strong and of a good courage.
