یوشع 18

1 تمام قوم اسرائیل در شیلوه جمع شدند و خیمهٔ ملاقات را بر پا کردند. هر چند آنها بر تمام سرزمین مسلط شده بودند، ولی هنوز هفت قبیله باقی مانده بودند که ملکی نداشتند.

And all the congregation of the sons of Israel is assembled [at] Shiloh, and they cause the Tent of Meeting to dwell there, and the land has been subdued before them.

And there are seven tribes left among the sons of Israel who have not shared their inheritance,

3 پس یوشع به آنها گفت: «تا کی می‌خواهید سهل‌انگاری کنید؟ چرا نمی‌روید و زمینهایی را که خداوند، خدای اجدادتان به شما داده است، تصرف نمی‌کنید؟

and Joshua says to the sons of Israel, “Until when are you remiss to go in to possess the land which He, YHWH, God of your fathers, has given to you?

4 از هر قبیله سه مرد انتخاب کنید. من آنها را می‌فرستم تا آن زمینها را بررسی کنند و از وضع آنها به من گزارش دهند تا بتوانم زمینها را بین شما تقسیم کنم.

Give three men from you for [each] tribe, and I send them, and they rise and go up and down through the land, and describe it according to their inheritance, and come to me,

5 آنها باید زمین را به هفت قسمت تقسیم کنند و گزارش آن را برای من بیاورند تا من در حضور خداوند، خدایمان سهم هفت قبیله را به حکم قرعه تعیین نمایم. «قبیلهٔ یهودا و قبیلهٔ یوسف که قبلاً به ترتیب زمینهای جنوب و شمال را گرفته‌اند در همان جا می‌مانند.

and they have divided it into seven portions—Judah stays by its border on the south, and the house of Joseph stays by their border on the north—

and you describe the land [in] seven portions, and have brought [it] to me here, and I have cast a lot for you here before our God YHWH;

7 قبیلهٔ لاوی هم از زمین سهمی ندارند، زیرا آنها کاهن هستند و خدمت خداوند سهم ایشان است. قبایل رئوبین و جاد و نصف قبیلهٔ منسی هم که قبلاً سهم خود را در سمت شرقی رود اردن که موسی برای ایشان تعیین نموده بود، گرفته‌اند.»

for there is no portion for the Levites in your midst, for the priesthood of YHWH [is] their inheritance, and Gad, and Reuben, and half of the tribe of Manasseh received their inheritance beyond the Jordan eastward, which Moses, servant of YHWH, gave to them.”

8 پس آن افراد رفتند تا زمینها را بررسی کنند و گزارش آن را برای یوشع بیاورند تا او در شیلوه در حضور خداوند سهم هفت قبیله را به حکم قرعه تعیین کند.

And the men rise and go; and Joshua commands those who are going to describe the land, saying, “Go, and walk up and down through the land, and describe it, and return to me, and here I cast a lot for you before YHWH in Shiloh.”

9 فرستادگان یوشع مطابق دستوری که یافته بودند عمل کردند. زمینها را به هفت قسمت تقسیم نمودند و نام شهرهای هر قسمت را نوشتند. سپس به اردوگاه شیلوه نزد یوشع بازگشتند.

And the men go, and pass over through the land, and describe it by cities, in seven portions, on a scroll, and they come to Joshua, to the camp [at] Shiloh.

10 یوشع در حضور خداوند قرعه انداخت و زمینها را بین آن هفت قبیله تقسیم کرد.

And Joshua casts a lot for them in Shiloh before YHWH, and there Joshua apportions the land to the sons of Israel, according to their divisions.

11 اولین قرعه به نام بنیامین درآمد. زمین خاندانهای این قبیله، بین زمینهای دو قبیلهٔ یهودا و یوسف قرار داشت.

And a lot goes up [for] the tribe of the sons of Benjamin, for their families; and the border of their lot goes out between the sons of Judah and the sons of Joseph.

12 مرز آنها در شمال از رود اردن شروع شده، به طرف شمال اریحا بالا می‌رفت. سپس از وسط کوهستان گذشته، به صحرای بیت‌آون در غرب می‌رسید.

And the border is for them at the north side from the Jordan, and the border has gone up to the side of Jericho on the north, and gone up through the hill-country westward, and its outgoings have been at the wilderness of Beth-Aven;

13 بعد به طرف جنوب لوز (که همان بیت‌ئیل است) کشیده شده، به طرف عطاروت ادار که در منطقهٔ کوهستانی جنوب بیت‌حورون پایین واقع است سرازیر می‌شد.

and the border has gone over there to Luz, to the side of Luz (it [is] Beth-El) southward, and the border has gone down [to] Atroth-Addar, by the hill that [is] on the south of the lower Beth-Horon;

14 مرز غربی از کوهستان جنوب بیت‌حورون به طرف جنوب کشیده شده، به قریۀ بعل (همان قریهٔ یعاریم) که یکی از شهرهای یهوداست می‌رسید.

and the border has been marked out, and has gone around to the corner of the sea southward, from the hill which [is] at the front of Beth-Horon southward, and its outgoings have been to Kirjath-Ba‘al (it [is] Kirjath-Jearim), a city of the sons of Judah: this [is] the west quarter.

15 مرز جنوبی از انتهای قریهٔ بعل در غرب شروع می‌شد و به طرف چشمه‌های نفتوح کشیده شده،

And the south quarter [is] from the end of Kirjath-Jearim, and the border has gone out westward, and has gone out to the fountain of the waters of Nephtoah;

16 از آنجا به دامنهٔ کوهی که مقابل درهٔ هنوم (واقع در شمال درهٔ رفائیم) است، امتداد می‌یافت. سپس، از درهٔ هنوم می‌گذشت و جنوب سرزمین یبوسیان را قطع می‌کرد و به عین روجل می‌رسید.

and the border has come down to the extremity of the hill which [is] on the front of the Valley of the Son of Hinnom, which [is] in the Valley of the Rephaim northward, and has gone down the Valley of Hinnom to the side of Jebusi southward, and gone down [to] En-Rogel,

17 این خط مرزی از عین روجل به طرف شمال به عین شمس می‌رفت و بعد به جلیلوت که در مقابل گذرگاه ادومیم قرار دارد، می‌رسید. سپس به طرف سنگ بوهن (بوهن پسر رئوبین بود) سرازیر شده،

and has been marked out on the north, and gone out to En-Shemesh, and gone out to Geliloth, which [is] opposite the ascent of Adummim, and gone down [to] the stone of Bohan son of Reuben,

18 از شمال زمینی که مقابل درهٔ اردن است می‌گذشت. سپس به درهٔ اردن سرازیر می‌شد

and passed over to the side in front of the Arabah northward, and gone down to Arabah;

19 و از آنجا به سمت شمال بیت‌حجله کشیده می‌شد و به خلیج شمالی دریای مرده که در انتهای جنوبی رود اردن است، منتهی می‌شد. این بود مرز جنوبی.

and the border has passed over to the side of Beth-Hoglah northward, and the outgoings of the border have been to the north bay of the Salt Sea, to the south extremity of the Jordan; this [is] the south border;

20 رود اردن، مرز شرقی زمین بنیامین را تشکیل می‌داد. این زمینی است که برای خاندانهای قبیلهٔ بنیامین تعیین گردید.

and the Jordan borders it at the east quarter; this [is] the inheritance of the sons of Benjamin, by its borders all around, for their families.

21 شهرهایی که به خاندانهای قبیلهٔ بنیامین تعلق داشت، از این قرارند: اریحا، بیت‌حُجله، عِیمَق قصیص،

And the cities for the tribe of the sons of Benjamin, for their families, have been Jericho, and Beth-Hoglah, and the Valley of Keziz,

22 بیت‌عربه، صمارایم، بیت‌ئیل،

and Beth-Arabah, Zemaraim, and Beth-El,

23 عَویم، فاره، عُفرَت،

and Avim, and Parah, and Ophrah,

24 کَفَرعمونی، عُفنی و جابع، جمعاً دوازده شهر با روستاهای اطراف.

and Chephar-Haammonai, and Ophni, and Gaba; twelve cities and their villages.

25 جبعون، رامه، بئیروت،

Gibeon, and Ramah, and Beeroth,

26 مصفه، کفیره، موصه،

and Mizpeh, and Chephirah, and Mozah,

27 راقم، یرفئیل، تراله،

and Rekem, and Irpeel, and Taralah,

28 صیله، آلف، یبوسی (اورشلیم)، جِبعه و قریهٔ یعاریم، جمعاً چهارده شهر با روستاهای اطراف. این بود ملکی که به خاندانهای قبیلهٔ بنیامین داده شد.

and Zelah, Eleph, and Jebusi (it [is] Jerusalem), Gibeath, Kirjath; fourteen cities and their villages. This [is] the inheritance of the sons of Benjamin, for their families.
