| این است زمینی که به حکم قرعه به خاندانهای قبیلهٔ یهودا داده شد: این زمین در جنوب به منتهی الیه جنوبی بیابان صین می‌رسید و در آنجا با ادوم هم مرز می‌شد. | 1 |
So then the boundary of the tribe of the sons of Judah, by their families, —reached unto the boundary of Edom, the desert of Zin southward, on the extreme south;
| این مرز جنوبی از جنوب دریای مرده شروع می‌شد و از جنوب «گردنهٔ عقربها» گذشته، به سوی بیابان صین پیش می‌رفت. از آنجا به جنوب قادش برنیع می‌رسید و سپس از حصرون گذشته، به طرف ادار بالا می‌رفت و به طرف قَرقَع برمی‌گشت و به عصمون می‌رسید، بعد درۀ مصر را طی کرده، به دریای مدیترانه ختم می‌شد. | 2 |
so their south boundary beginneth at the end of the Salt Sea, —from the bay that turneth to the south;
| 3 |
and goeth forth on the south of the cliffs of Akrabbim, and crosseth over to Zin, and goeth up on the south of Kadesh-barnea, —and passeth over by Hezron, and goeth up to Addar, and turneth round to Karka;
| 4 |
and passeth over to Azmon, and goeth forth at the ravine of Egypt, and so the extensions of the boundary are to the sea. This, shall be your south boundary.
| مرز شرقی آن از جنوب دریای مرده شروع می‌شد و تا شمال دریا یعنی جایی که رود اردن در آن می‌ریزد، امتداد می‌یافت. از آنجا مرز شمالی شروع می‌شد و | 5 |
And, a boundary eastward, is the Salt Sea, as far as the end of the Jordan. And, the boundary on the north side, is from the bay of the sea, from the end of the Jordan.
| تا بیت‌حجله امتداد می‌یافت و به طرف شمال وادی اردن تا «سنگ بوهَن» (بوهَن پسر رئوبین بود) پیش می‌رفت. | 6 |
And the boundary goeth up Beth-hoglah, and passeth over, on the north, by Beth-arabah, —and the boundary goeth up by the Stone of Bohan, son of Reuben;
| در آنجا از میان درهٔ عخور گذشته، به دبیر می‌رسید. بعد به سمت شمال، به سوی جلجال مقابل گردنهٔ ادومیم در طرف جنوبی درهٔ عخور برمی‌گشت. از آنجا به طرف چشمه‌های عین شمس پیش می‌رفت و به عین روجل می‌رسید. | 7 |
and the boundary goeth up towards Debir, out of the vale of Achor, then northward, turning unto Gilgal, which is over against the ascent of Adummim, which is on the south side of the ravine, —then the boundary passeth over unto the waters of En-shemesh, and so the extensions thereof are unto En-rogel:
| سپس از درهٔ هنوم که در امتداد دامنهٔ جنوبی شهر یبوسی (یعنی اورشلیم) قرار دارد، بالا می‌رفت و از آنجا به بالای تپه‌ای که در سمت غربی درهٔ هنوم و در انتهای شمالی درهٔ رفائیم است، پیش می‌رفت. | 8 |
then ascendeth the boundary by the valley of the son of Hinnom, to the side of the Jebusite, on the south, the same, is Jerusalem, —and the boundary goeth up unto the top of the mountain which faceth the valley of Hinnom, to the west, which is at the end of the Vale of Giants, northwards;
| از آنجا به چشمه‌های نفتوح کشیده شده، به شهرهای نزدیک کوه عفرون می‌رسید و تا بعله (قریه یعاریم) امتداد می‌یافت. | 9 |
and the boundary turneth round, from the top of the mountain, unto the fountain of the waters of Nephtoah, and goeth out unto the cities of Mount Ephron, —then the boundary turneth round to Baalah, the same, is Kiriath-jearim;
| سپس از بعله به طرف مغرب به کوه سعیر برمی‌گشت و در امتداد دامنهٔ شمالی کوه یعاریم (که کسالون باشد) پیش می‌رفت و به طرف بیت‌شمس سرازیر شده، از تمنه می‌گذشت. | 10 |
then the boundary goeth round from Baalah westward, unto Mount Seir, and passeth over unto the slope of Mount Yearim, on the north, the same, is Chesalon, —and descendeth Bethshemesh, and passeth over Timnah;
| بعد به دامنهٔ شمالی عقرون می‌رسید و تا شکرون کشیده می‌شد و از کوه بعله گذشته به یبن‌ئیل می‌رسید و سرانجام به دریای مدیترانه ختم می‌شد. | 11 |
then the boundary goeth forth unto the side of Ekron, northward, then the boundary turneth round towards Shikkeron, and crosseth over Mount Baalah, and goeth out at Jabneel, —and the extensions of the boundary are to the sea.
| مرز غربی، ساحل دریای مدیترانه بود. خاندانهای قبیلهٔ یهودا در داخل این مرزها زندگی می‌کردند. | 12 |
And, as a west boundary, are the great sea and coast. This, is the boundary of the sons of Judah, round about, by their families.
| خداوند به یوشع دستور داد که قسمتی از زمین یهودا را به کالیب (پسر یفنه) ببخشد. برحسب این دستور، قریهٔ اربع که نام دیگر آن حبرون بود به او داده شد. (اربع نام پدر عناق بود.) | 13 |
And, to Caleb, son of Jephunneh, gave he a portion, in the midst of the sons of Judah, at the bidding of Yahweh, by Joshua, —even the City of Arba, father of Anak, the same, is Hebron.
| کالیب، طایفه‌های شیشای، اخیمان و تَلَمای را که از نسل عناق بودند از آنجا بیرون راند. | 14 |
And Caleb dispossessed from thence, the three sons of Anak, —Sheshai, and Ahiman, and Talmai, the descendants of Anak.
| سپس با مردم شهر دبیر (که قبلاً قریه سفر نامیده می‌شد) جنگید. | 15 |
And he went up from thence, against the inhabitants of Debir, —now, the name of Debir, formerly, was Kiriath-sepher.
| کالیب به افراد خود گفت: «هر که برود و قریۀ سفر را تصرف نماید، دخترم عکسه را به او به زنی خواهم داد.» | 16 |
Then said Caleb, He that smiteth Kiriath-sepher, and captureth it, I will give unto him Achsah, my daughter, to wife.
| عُتن‌ئیل (پسر قناز) برادرزادهٔ کالیب، شهر را تصرف نمود و کالیب عکسه را به او به زنی داد. | 17 |
And Othniel son of Kenaz, brother of Caleb, captured it, —so he gave unto him Achsah, his daughter, to wife.
| عتن‌ئیل وقتی عکسه را به خانهٔ خود می‌برد، او را ترغیب نمود تا از پدرش قطعه زمینی بخواهد. عکسه از الاغش پیاده شد تا در این باره با پدرش کالیب صحبت کند. کالیب از او پرسید: «چه می‌خواهی؟» | 18 |
And it came to pass, when she came, that she moved him to ask of her father a field, and, when she alighted from off the ass, Caleb said unto her—What aileth thee?
| عکسه گفت: «یک هدیهٔ دیگر هم به من بده! چون آن زمینی که در نِگِب به من داده‌ای، زمین بی‌آبی است. یک قطعه زمین که چشمه در آن باشد به من بده.» پس کالیب چشمه‌های بالا و پایین را به او بخشید. | 19 |
And she said—Give me a present, for, dry land, hast thou given me, therefore must thou give me, pools of water. So he gave her upper pools and lower pools.
| سرزمینی که به قبیلهٔ یهودا تعلق گرفت شامل شهرهای زیر بود. | 20 |
This, is the inheritance of the tribe of the sons of Judah, by their families.
| شهرهایی که در امتداد مرزهای ادوم در دشت نگب واقع شده بودند و عبارت بودند از: قبصئیل، عیدر، یاجور، | 21 |
And the uttermost cities of the tribe of the sons of Judah, towards the boundary of Edom in the south, were, —Kabzeel and Eder, and Jagur,
| قینه، دیمونه، عدعده، | 22 |
and Kinah and Dimonah, and Adadah, —
| قادش، حاصور، یتنان، | 23 |
and Kedesh and Hazor, and Ithnan,
| زیف، طالم، بعلوت، | 24 |
Ziph and Talem, and Bealoth,
| حاصور حَدَته، قریوت حصرون (یا حاصور)، | 25 |
and Hazor-hadattah and Kerioth-hezron, the same, is Hazor;
| اَمام، شماع، مولاده، | 26 |
Amam and Shema, and Moladah,
| حَصَر جده، حشمون، بیت‌فالط، | 27 |
and Hazar-gaddah and Heshmon, and Beth-pelet.
| حصرشوعال، بئرشبع، بزیوتیه، | 28 |
and Hazarshual and Beer-sheba, with the hamlets thereof,
| بعاله، عییم، عاصم، | 29 |
Baalah and Iyyim, and Ezem,
| التولد، کسیل، حرمه، | 30 |
and Eltolad and Chesil, and Hormah,
| صقلغ، مدمنه، سنسنه، | 31 |
and Ziklag and Madmannah, and Sansannah,
| لباوت، سلخیم، عین و رمون، جمعاً بیست و نه شهر با روستاهای اطراف. | 32 |
and Lebaoth and Shilhim, and En-rimmon, —all the cities are twenty-nine, with their villages.
| شهرهایی که در دشتها واقع شده بودند و عبارت بودند از: اِشتائُل، صَرعه، اشنه، | 33 |
In the lowland, —Eshtaol and Zorah, and Ashnah,
| زانوح، عین‌جنیم، تفوح، عینام، | 34 |
and Zanoah and En-gannim, Tappuah, and Enam;
| یرموت، عدلام، سوکوه، عزیقه، | 35 |
Jarmuth, and Adullam, Socoh, and Azekah;
| شعرایم، عدیتایم، جدیره و جدیرتایم، جمعاً چهارده شهر با روستاهای اطراف. | 36 |
and Shaaraim, and Adithaim, and Gederah, and Gederothaim, —fourteen cities, with their villages.
| صنان، حداشاه، مجدل جاد، | 37 |
Zenan and Hadashah, and Migdal-gad,
| دلعان، مصفه، یُقتِئیل، | 38 |
and Dilan and Mizpeh, and Joktheel,
| لاخیش، بُصقه، عجلون، | 39 |
Lachish and Bozkath, and Eglon,
| کبون، لحمان، کتلیش، | 40 |
and Cabbon and Lahmas, and Chithlish,
| جدیروت، بیت‌داجون، نعمه و مقیده جمعاً شانزده شهر با روستاهای اطراف. | 41 |
and Gederoth, Beth-dagon and Naamah, and Makkedah, —sixteen cities, with their villages.
| لبنه، عاتر، عاشان، | 42 |
Libnah and Ether, and Ashan,
| یفتاح، اشنه، نصیب، | 43 |
and Iphtah and Ashnah, and Nezib,
| قعیله، اکزیب و مریشه جمعاً نه شهر با روستاهای اطراف. | 44 |
and Keilah and Achzib, and Mareshah, —nine cities, with their villages.
| همچنین تمام شهرها و روستاهای ناحیۀ عقرون جزو ملک قبیلهٔ یهودا بود. | 45 |
Ekron with her towns, and her villages.
| مرز آن از عقرون تا دریای مدیترانه بود و شهرهایی که اطراف اشدود واقع شده بودند با روستاهای مجاور جزو زمین یهودا به شمار می‌آمدند. | 46 |
From Ekron, even unto the sea, —all that were by the side of Ashdod with their villages.
| و نیز خود شهر اشدود و غزه با آبادی‌های اطراف آنها و تمام شهرهای کنار دریای مدیترانه تا درهٔ مصر جزو ملک یهودا بودند. | 47 |
Ashdod, her towns and her villages. Gaza, her towns and her villages, as far as the ravine of Egypt, —and the great sea and coast.
| شهرهایی که در نواحی کوهستانی قرار داشتند و عبارت بودند از: شامیر، یتیر، سوکوه، | 48 |
And in the hill-country, —Shamir and Jattir, and Socoh,
| دنه، قریه سنه (یا دبیر)، | 49 |
and Dannah and Kiriath-sannah, the same, is Debir,
| عناب، اشتموع، عانیم، | 50 |
and Anab and Eshtemoh, and Anim,
| جوشن، حولون و جیلوه، جمعاً یازده شهر با روستاهای اطراف. | 51 |
and Goshen and Holon, and Giloh, —eleven cities, with their villages.
| اراب، دومه، اشعان، | 52 |
Arab and Rumah and Eshan,
| یانوم، بیت‌تفوح، افیقه، | 53 |
and Janim and Beth-tappuah and Aphekah,
| حُمطه، قریه اربع (حبرون) و صیعور، جمعاً نه شهر با روستاهای اطراف. | 54 |
and Humtah, and Kiriath-arba, the same, is Hebron, and Zior, —nine cities, with their villages.
| معون، کرمل، زیف، یوطه، | 55 |
Maon, Carmel, and Ziph and Jutah,
| یزرعیل، یُقدعام، زانوح، | 56 |
and Jezreel and Jokdeam, and Zanoah,
| قاین، جِبعه و تِمنه جمعاً ده شهر با روستاهای اطراف. | 57 |
Kain, Gibeah and Timnah, —ten cities, with their villages.
| حلحول، بیت‌صور، جدور، | 58 |
Halhul, Beth-zur, and Gedor,
| معارات، بیت‌عنوت و التقون، جمعاً شش شهر با روستاهای اطراف. | 59 |
and Maarath and Beth-anoth, and Eltekon, —six cities, with their villages.
| قریه بعل (قریه یعاریم) و رَبه جمعاً دو شهر با روستاهای اطراف. | 60 |
Kiriath-baal, the same, is Kiriath-jearim, and Rabbah, —two cities, with their villages.
| شهرهایی که در بیابان واقع شده بودند و عبارت بودند از: بیت‌عربه، مدین، سکاکه، | 61 |
In the desert, —Beth-arabah, Middin, and Secacah,
| نبشان، شهر نمک و عین جُدی، جمعاً شش شهر با روستاهای اطراف. | 62 |
and Nibshan and the City of Salt, and En-gedi, —six cities, with their villages.
| اما مردم قبیلهٔ یهودا نتوانستند یبوسی‌ها را که در اورشلیم زندگی می‌کردند بیرون کنند. پس آنها در اورشلیم ماندند و هنوز هم در آنجا هستند و با مردم قبیلهٔ یهودا زندگی می‌کنند. | 63 |
But, as for the Jebusites, the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the sons of Judah could not dispossess them, —so the Jebusites have dwelt with the sons of Judah, in Jerusalem, until this day.
